Sharmi, I think Maan just wanted to throw her off guard with that seductive question. Don't think there is any double meaning to the lines. Come to think of it, Geet was to sleep in the sofa that night, wasn't she, as per their arrangement? By distracting her about the side of bed she wants to sleep that night, I think Maan was hoping to get her to sleep on the bed that night too.
