There are ways to bring in Sameera and still keep the izzat of all MSK's "pahli baar dialogs". But I don't think Indian Telly World has time to handle such subtleties.
The feeling of love can come in many forms. Let's see how MSK treated Geet when he first accepted for himself that he was falling in love. He wanted her - at any cost. He was so obsessed with what he wanted (Geet) that he kept getting frustrated on Geet for not confessing her feelings, which were pretty obvious too. He could not think that there might be a reason why she was trying to keep away from him. He did not try to understand her, her life, her pains, her problems. He just wanted her by hook or by crook.
Probably this is how he loved Sameera as well. He wanted her.
But how does Geet love someone? She does not think about herself when in love. She loved her child. So, the only thing she thought of was that she had to save the baby. She did not care about what happened to her own life, how she was going to survive and bring the baby to the world. When she loved Maan, she did not think of what she wanted. She thought of him. She thought that her past will be a problem for Maan. And hence she tried to push him away from herself. She probably didn't even want him to know anything about her past, because that will put him in dilemma.
Since then Maan has changed. Not only in how he treats Geet, but also in how he loves her. Now, his love is manifested in the same way as Geet's love. He thinks of her and not of himself. He thinks of what she wants, and not what he wants. This is the love he had never known.
And Sameera was probably no help to him. He had at least wanted Sameers, but she only wanted his money.
But now he feel the love, which gives, not the one which wants. This is real love. It is not sacrifice. When you love this way, you start enjoying life this way. But you probably can not love a selfish person in this manner. You are human after all. This love is practical, only when it is reciprocated in the same manner. Geet is the right partner.
He may have had relationships earlier, but this is his first love.
I am sure there are other ways to handle the issue too. But no hope any longer. 😊
