Maine Pyaar Kiya #6 : Our dinner date
Maan was very nervous while getting down from his car.. He could never imagine himself like this.. Going on a date with flowers.
He gave himself all himmat... "Maan, Ab jo hoga, dekha jayega "
He rang the door bell..and waited for her.. .I don't know what Geet has in mind for tonight.. and why she has called me.. Is she missing me badly.. or she wants to say something.. He knew something will happen tonite.surely... .and he started thinking about Geet.. this is not the Geet he knew.. She is getting bold nowdays.. and he remembered their engagement day.. Yea.. she showed some signs of boldness in the bathtub.... but that day he was not having time to take her challenge.. but he loved her that moment so much.. First time he felt.. she wanted to be herself...
Geet opened the door.. She was looking very pretty.. in white Salwar/kurta.. her face was glowing...
"Sir, please come inside"
Maan looked inside..Is Meera also there ? but he couldn't see her. OK, that means they are alone.. and he tensed.
"Woh Geet, mujhe samajh main nahin aaya.. mujhe laga tumhe Lal gulab pasand hain.. " and he gave her the roses.. He could see the happiness on her face and was glad that at least, start is good..
"Toh aapko abhi tak fuloon (flowers) se nafrat nahin hua hain.. Mujhe acha laga".. Maan felt being caught..This girl reads me so well..
They were seating in the hall and observing the silece between them.. Almost 10 minutes passed.. Then she decided to break up the silence..
"Woh"... and Maan also "Woh""
"aapko" and Maan "Tumhein"
Both of them realized the old times.. and smiled.. Maan decided to go ahead..
"Geet, why you have called me tonite.. I am curious to know." He could not control himeself.. Straight to the point.. He doesn't know any other way..
"Woh maine socha .. aapne bahut dino se achha khana nahin khaya hoga.. to mujhe lagan mujhe aapko invite karna chahiye''.. Geet didn't knew what to say.. why he asks questions so point blank.. "Ab jo keh diya so Keh diya." She convinced herself..
Maan was frustrated.. This girl.. always does something like this.. Can she answer straight.. But he knew no use.... She will defend her excuses...
"Geet,... " To Tumhara achha khana kya hain.. Do you know I take fruits only at night...
[This I have taken from one of the DD's interview where she said GC takes fruits during Night shoots ]
"Par maine to itna sab kuch banaya hain.. " and she was frowning.. "Shaadi ke baad aisa nahin chalega "..
and she realized what she said.. She rushed inside...
Maan had heard what Geet said.. but he pretended as if nothing...."Geet what you said "... He came inside the Kitchen.. and he saw her busy..
"Geet, why you did all this.. we could have gone out.. or ordered something.. Let me help you.".. She looked at him..
They arranged the table.. and he thought. how well they understand each other,,how well they fitted in.. so why they are struggling with their egos.. They don't even need to speak when they are together...
"Geet, you are a good cook. You have made my favourate pasta very well"... "Woh maine nahin.. Meera ne".... They cleared the table together..
She got coffee for both of them.. "Now days I have also started taking Coffee".. She answered his questioning eyes..They chatted.. more on her health..something about old times..but he was not feeling tensed anymore.. He saw Geet was also relaxed....
"Geet, I should leave now.., its quite late.." and he got up...It was almost mid night.. He didn't wanted to go.. and he could see same in Geet eyes... but then he remembered his mission " this time she has to "...
Geet didn't wanted this moment to end so fast... .. but she cannot let him go.. with out saying what she was feeling for so many days..
"Mujhe aapse kuch kehna hain".. As he was near the door.. Maan knew this will be coming.. How long she will be able to hold herself...
"Mujhe aapse sorry kehna hain.. Maine bina sach jaane, galat socha.. aapke baren main, hamare bich main jo bhi hua galat hua, Maine aab soch liya hain,, ab aap se badkar kuch nahin.. Kissee ke liye nafrat bhi nahin"
She looked at him, with tears in her eyes..She wanted him to assure her.. Maaf kar diya.. ?
"Geet mujhe sochne ka waqt do..... "..
He was not able to take what Geet said.. so suddenly..This was beyond all what he could think of .. She is so unpredictable....
But getting back is that easy ? Has she realized the hurt she has given him.. why was her trust so low.. if she does.it again. ... ? He left.
Geet was in tears.. Has he moved in his life. ?. No, not possible.. then why he would come today.. But why he needs time to think.. Her sorry should have solved all problems between them.. and she realized... is he scared to be hurt again ? "Babaji, What I have done ? "
The door bell rang.. Meera must be back.. She thought.
