The Thornbird dramatically flaps its wings and makes this one last flight up into the sky before it sings the sweetest and most wonderful song to the world, and then falls down and dies (From the book "THORNBIRDS"). And as it makes peace in moments before its death, the new dawn is rumbling into activity, the darkness has receded into the night.
I cannot but remember the first date in the jungle scenario - she was all dressed up and this beautiful girl opened her heart out to Maan, what he needed to hear, and both of them sanctified their relationship with truth, honesty and integrity. And that slooshy, warm hug!!
Now I hope his second and last call to the promise may also be another date - where he opens his heart to her and reveals all that she needs to hear ( I am assuredly hoping it would be that and that which all of us are waiting to hear with sighs, bated breaths and dreamy eyes!).
HIMMAT AND MADAD:
For some of us who were wondering about the Himmat and Madad words. My take on this:
This Himmat that Maan became for her is what has moulded her personality and she has drawn her strength to face the world from it. Remembering the instance at the KC base floor when Maan was being rolled away on the stretcher and Geet remarks that if only she could just glance at Maan, she would be fired with strength to take on the world, only if she could see his face in his silence and that justifies her to fight all the wrongs!! How well thought and splendidly delivered. This could be the beginning of the new GEET, (sometimes I think shes a tornado throwing things out of gear as she walks;) a new order of things where she no more needs his Himmat.
Madad is what she is desperately trying to throw in to the bin, because it shows her weakness. Another instance recalled is when they are sitting by the fountain in his office (before their trip together to HP), he reveals a truth - that he could never allow himself to reach for someones madad because it showed him as a weak person before the world.
MAAN, please remember theres this scared little girl in Geet who is afraid of opening up and being hurt and who needs your kindness and compassion more often (Ofcourse you have always given her that!!).
And GEET, dont be slow, nor argue with your own feelings and wants - Give him this big hug he needs.
One up for Vij. Hey, I am trying to be positive and not let my heart ache for the weekend.
I certainly want MORE ROMANCE, (and its about time) to sustain the long drawn 2 days!!
