I absolutely loved today's episode. There was so much emotion - understated yet deep. Both Maan and Geet feel ashamed for their actions but express it differently. Geet as expected could not believe that she would have raised her hand on him. The girl abhors violence and is quick to accept her mistake even if it was justified under the circumstances. Maan too realises that there is something grossly wrong with their relationship. He wonders how he has become this way.
The lift scene was poignant. This is their third encounter (is it not?) in the lift but unlike earlier occassions when one or the other was angry and the other tried to appease, in this ride both were absolutely silent although their thoughts were not. For the first time they were uncomfortable in each other's company because they were ashamed by their actions. Geet lost her voice for the first time. She was both fearful and embarrassed to speak. Her dupatta tried to play cupid but when she realised it was touching Maan she dragged it back, not wanting to anger him further. Maan on the other hand thought that she did not even want her dupatta to caress him. Thankfully he did not vocally react in anger and precipitate the situation. By the time Geet got her voice back, Maan was gone.
Geet is never one to give up. I love this about her. She is not deterred by Maan's indifference to her. She barges into his cabin. Thankfully today we saw a more cool headed Maan. It must have taken tremendous effort for a hot headed guy like him to remain calm. He politely tell her not to disturb him and he will talk to her later. His calmness stuns her as she has never seen him in this avataar. She cutely draws his attention to the fact that it is her and I loved Maan's response there. After all in an all male office the only female voice could only be Geet's not that Maan would ever forget it. He asks her to leave which she reluctantly does, all the while looking at him and trying to figure out what is in his mind. Maan knows without looking that she was heading to the door with her back to it and from past experience of having seen her bump herself this way, he warns her. Loved the expression on his face as he looked up to see her receding form; it showed how much he still cared for her. Maan has truly been woken up by that tappad!
The store room scene was the best of the lot. Loved the way Geet locked the door and silenced him the way he has done innumerable times. What she said next wrenched my heart. She begs him to hear her out for it had taken her a lot of effort to work up the courage to say what she intended to. Maan was moved by these words because he understood what she must have gone through. Geet has apologised in the past too but this time was different. Maan has been wild of late. There is never knowing how he will react to her and yet she was bold enough to take that first step to make peace. She gave a straight forward apology without losing her dignity. She also made it clear what he did was wrong. That really was commendable. the girl never shies away from calling a spade a spade. Maan knows what he did was wrong but stops short of actually apologising. She wants her answer (whether he has accepted her apology). He promises to answer in an hour's time (here he was referring to correction for all the mistakes in their relationship). Geet is left confused and in apprehension.
I think the meeting Maan is rushing off to is to finalise the sale of India Paints. He will leave IP and return to KC. When she realises that Maan has sold the company, Geet may think that he has not forgiven her slap and may be heartbroken. She returns home to see Dev and is double heart broken and may decide to leave the city.
Coming to Meera-Dev and Meera-Geet portions. The first showed that this girl is still blindly in love with the crook. she could have admitted him in a hospital if he was really sick. Why bring him home knowing how Geet will feel about his presence. Totally selfish of her. The second scene only reiterated her selfishness when she lied to Geet. totally spineless character. Yash is better off without her.
