The first scene of confrontation:

Both GC and DD, ace their performances. Geet making her peace offer, coz somewhere she acknowledges that she let her insecurities to get to her, hence the dialogue letting him know that he has always helped her but she has caused him pain! This shows she has completely let her guard down and for her its not about proving a point and seeking a pound of flesh!!
Maan portraying the hurt and pain and conveying it with his eyes letting Geet know how deep routed this pain is!! Beautiful! The quick transistion from the bitterness and anger to the immediate regret in his eyes as she turns to walk away after listening to his I dont care coz I hate you!! Applaudable performance!

And this round went to Geet: 👏

Yes, you dont want me in your life, but you are the one who hunts me down and never let me go. Yes, we do have a relationship even if of hate but even the person you hate, makes a big impact and difference to your life! 👏

From there on, the episode takes a dramatic downfall!!

Only things I liked:

Geet's self talk: even if he says its hate, you cannot just cut the threads of this relationship just like that!

One can still witness that longing in Maan for Geet as he hears her voice and then looks for her jumka and his need to make sure she was there at the farm house!

Geet being rational, sensible and standing up for herself in front of that other supposedly high society lady!!

But the rest: Utter Crap!!

I dont have a problem with the general concept, Maan behaving like a 10 year old, for I think I might have an answer to where this behavior stems from! Also this highlights the fact that Maan is no GOD, like a lot of people are mislead to believe!

But the entire scene is a depiction of past recopied and pasted in tastelessness!! Atleast if you copy the past scene,...do it with elegance. You want to show Maan trying to make Geet jealous and getting hurt in the process, then there are better ways to show it like a formal event at KC and Maan talking more to some other female (may i put with a little more class than the chick you seem to have found) and Geet not being insulted by these so called women of high society! Why all you needed to do was to get Maan dance with Sasha. Personally I think she has more class than the chick you found!!

And whats with getting every Lara, Sasha and Arhana to insult Geet? Whats the crime in being from a small town? I dont see whats the problem?? Why your Laxmi Mittal of ArcelorMittal, the biggest tycoon in the world is from a small town in India!! So please dont stick to the misplaced sense of norm that people from small towns are low class!! I liked Geet standing up for herself and asking for a return apology! But whats with this random female dragging Geet around as if Geet is incapable of pulling out of this female's grasp! And whats with Maan standing around listening to see random woman behaving rudely to Geet?? Is this all that love mounts to??

I am sorry, you seem to have gotten your notions about love, jealousy and affection completely warped. People hurt each other, but they never let a third party watch or insult their loved one!!

I just feel completely ridiculed to have been brought down to this state where GHSP, the show I used to proclaim stood out from the rest has been reduced to nothing but another random brick in the wall of Indian Television. If this is all you wanted, then do let us know...we will stop writing our analysis and giving our inputs...and keep our brains aside and watch the crap you dole out and entertain ourselves with more crap out there!!


Quick theory for Maan's 10 year old behavior!!

Since we all know that Sameera is coming and a lot of Khurana clan will be introduced, maybe the 10 year old behavior stems from the basic insecurity of Maan. Maybe this is a reflection of his deep routed fear about abandonment which happened when his mom left him (since his character has been shown as his mom is no longer in the pic) and he wants to prove his hurt and pain by acting as irrationally as possible which is here a 10 yr old!!! Maybe he needs some mollycoddling from Geets end, paving way for Geet understanding where the woman hate stems from??

But this theory makes no sense as Smita rightly pointed out, unless we see some self-analysis from Maan's end. We have no idea what Maan is thinking!!! We dont care about hundred scenes of jealousy enacted...coz none of this makes sense unless we have an insight Maan's feelings?? A meaningful show has to be more than just a moving storyline of random bickering, one needs to input meat to justify where the scenes and actions come from! And that is not for the viewers to guess and analyse! You creatives have shown it to us in the past, so what stops you now??

I am sure he feels remorse and guilt. Also his family is falling apart. Geet has left him! He cannot just behave this way he did if he didnt feel these emotions!! Does he feel a sense of abandonment like he did in the past? What are his insecurities? What did he feel when Sameera abandoned him and what does he feel now??

But we viewers are as usual left to connect stupid dots with a bad taste in the mouth!!

An angry devil!!! 😡

This episode was not bad at all, I truly loved the first part...u can see the pain the two have and Geet told him good! Everything he said to her in a bad way, was totally opposite! Infact I loved the episode and yes there was continuation today, it started where it left off! Also, he kept searching for her at the party, saw her sight and he was ok! Arhana, that B****😡, who the hell does she think she is treating Geet that way, why the hell didn't Geet speak up for her self, she is at fault here, not Maan. Again, Maan will save her out of love for her, yet again he will try to prove to her that he has no feelings by dancing with that S***. He might come to Geet and say did this dance remind you of us and what we had and be right down mean and then yes she might just slap him then, now if this happens I won't blame Geet. This slap might wake him up and come to reality. Geet preggy, arre yaar all seem to forget this one! 😆

We can't expect much out of dailies guys! Recycling is the name of the game! Yeh duniya gol gol hai! Yes, Maan shouldn't be that mean, but let me come to his defense here, he is one hurt man! Very very hurt, he has done so much for Geet and she didnt trust him! Faith and trust two important things to him, but she didnt believe in any of that! Who would take a pregnant woman and commit to her for the rest of his life. There is just no way any man would do that! That one in it self is the biggest one of all! Other things he has done doesn't make a difference to me, but this one is huge! Also, before the marriage thing she wanted to talk to him, what did she do...she went to his office and made a tamasha out of him in public, now he thinks its his turn to do that with her. Anyone wonders how much pain he goes thru when he sees her! Im sure soon we will see him breakdown and do some self talk soon!

Its only reality when men are hurt, they can't handle it, they do become like little boys! We expect Maan to be different, but in fact he is a male and they have no brains! So its ok, its only natural for him to be like this! So for the 10 year old behavior its justified for me!



The concept is great, but the execution has gone to timbuktu again!

How are you all doing? Busy with work I guess. I hope you had a good Diwali; mine was kind of so so. You know what they say, Diwali outside of India sucks. LOL! Wow! I'm bad at this. Small talk I mean. I'm bad at small talk as much as you are bad at execution these days. Oh, you got that right! We need to have a chat about today's (Nov 8^th, 2010) episode. Tsk tsk tsk....You didn't seriously think you can show us crap and get away with it? Or did you? Oh my god, how silly of you.

Now that we are done with, for lack of a better word, chit chat, let's get down to business shall we?

I understand that every show has off days and for that reason, I have been cutting you some slack when I felt the episodes were subpar. But, enough is enough. Today it was a new low for me. What the hell was today's episode about? Other than the first 5 minutes, there is NOTHING to this episode. May I say it was one of the worst episodes of GHSP history, if not the worst? Trust me when I say that the episode was crap. I'm fully aware of what I'm saying unlike you, who seem to have lost grip of what you are doing. I have no issues with the track; it is the execution that sucks. I felt extremely confused after today's episode and I wasn't even sure if I was watching GHSP. What happened? What happened to GHSP? What happened to the CVs that created brilliant show with brilliant characters? Where are they? Am I talking to the same people?

All I have to say is that you have some serious damage control to do. That too, SOON! Fix the mess you have created before you go past the point of no return. Don't ruin characters that you brilliantly sketched out for the sake of trps. Come to think of it, even the masses don't appreciate the crap you dished out today. Get back to your roots. Keep on doing what got you to the top and sustain it. I understand that it's easier said than done, but if anyone can do it, it's you. Don't give in to external pressures, whatever they maybe, and compromise the show because of it. Frankly, I feel like you are wasting the talents of brilliant actors like Drashti and Gurmeet because of lack of execution. Yes, they are brilliant but, they can only do so much to fill the huge holes in execution.

Please, pay more attention to execution. You can sell even a bad track to the audience if the execution is good. What's happening now is that even though the track is good, execution is pathetic at best. The audience, both the classes and the masses, are smart enough to recognize bad execution when they see it. Please don't question the intelligence of your audience by giving us crap episodes, because it may just come back to haunt you. I don't wish to say more than this. I'm sure you get the point; at least I like to hope so.

I did not signup to see High School Musical...or She is All That....or any other teen drama....I signed up to see as GC put is a show that is hatke seh...well if hatke seh is Utter Crap...I don't need it...

The fault lies in us to have thought that this show was different. It is just another Star One show.

Here's my 2 cents....

Today's first scene was a continuation from yesterday. Execution was superb…Nissar's hand in it. GC and DD gave their best…as always…spell binding.

Maan still caught up in his anger which he interprets as hatred towards Geet. That's why he rejects her overtures. Geet for the firs time becomes aware of his pain, his anger, his hatred towards her….a change in their relationship …wherein she acknowledges that Maan has always done good for her but she has given him nothing but pain. Admission of 'guilt' from Geet…a good beginning of overcoming her ego.

Maan still spitting venom, wants to see if Geet is affected at all … and I think he gets more than he asked for. Is this the beginning of Maan breaking out of his stupor ? Time will tell. But he was affected by Geet's reaction to this words… he could read it in her eyes.

Geet is shaken, when Maan pulls her back and says…
Don't like the air u breath, don't want to pass thru the space where ur shadow has fallen, don't want to hear ur voice even in my dreams… I hate u…stay away from me.

No farak ? Then why does he push back her strands.
No farak ? Then why does he gulp when she turns around and says 'rishta nafrat ka hi sahi, par aapko farak padta hai'

So ends the first scene…fabulous….typical Geet HSP.

Then we come to the second scene. Major gap in continuity between the 2 scenes. Lot of open questions -

• Yesterday, Dev was out in the rain with Meera when he collapses. What happened next ?
• What happens today after Geet walks away from Maan ?
• Does she go home ?
• Then where are Deveera ?
• Where is Geet's self talk?
• Where is Maan's self-talk?

Maan back in his HP jeep ! A sight for sore eyes !

Maan's character is still intact.
• Inspite of all the 'nafrat' talk yesterday, he still wants to hear Geet's voice in the morning – remember 'every day will begin with you, every nite will end with you'?
• Geet's first reaction next morning – that she did not go to him becoz of Dadi but for herself – Geet ko farak padta hai
• Her initial instinct that it is Maan on the phone….every day begins with Maan, every nite ends with Maan still holds true
• Her immediate concern for his safety coz she recognizes his car sounds
• Still pines to see her at the party …albeit to put her down, but still desperate to see her….these are not symptoms of someone who wants nothing to do with her….on the contrary.

Maan's just throwing a party, arranged by a local socialite, to prove that he too can party…LOL…but he does not start enjoying until Geet arrives.

Geet on the other hand, seems to be returning back to earth, aware of the rift between them but still unable to break the bond. Still perceives it as worth fighting for … and so she goes to the farmhouse with the 3 stooges/allies.

Precap – Maan saving Geet from the pool – dj vu of their first encounter in HP.
Geet seeing Maan dancing with another girl at the party – dj vu of Maan dancing with Pari.

Curious to see how this pans out tomorrow.

Acting – GC / DD – Superb performance
Direction – Scene 1 – great; Scene 2 – needs improvement
Quality Control – Sucks ! Who is responsible ? Why didn't u catch the fact that the 2 scenes did not gel well back to back ? Don't u normally check such gaps before airing the episode? No Six Sigma implemented, other wise u'd have caught the gaps and bloopers.
Storyline – Still progressing, provided ur editors dont butcher it
Dialogues – Very Good
Execution - Poor
Dubbing - a lot to be desired

PS - Arhaana was poorly played out...understand she is to play the snooty, high society girl looking down at mankind...but wish u'd found a better performer to play that part. Bet you, even Tasha could have played that role with more finesse. Arhaana's dialogue delivery was pitiful In a way I'm glad she wasnt cute...then I would have been really concerned. about Maan. He is just using Arhaana to make a point...to Geet...LOL!

The way I see it, Maan already deserves to be slapped. He is behaving like a two year old. Tomorrow, when Geet slaps him I have no doubt that he deserves it. I hope that slap knocks some sense back into his brain.

MSK's prolbem...whatever Geet says..I will oppose it...
