The difference between the hurt Dev gave Geet and what Maan's doing to Geet right now is that Dev didn't stick around, he left.. he didn't call.. he didn't talk... nothing - and that in a sense, was the best for Geet..

But then you think about Maan.. and while he says he hates her.. he want's to be right by her.. why? Not because he wan't to support her.. but because he want's to see her downfall.. and then support her. Even after he knows he has hurt her he didn't stop.. he bought the company, became her boss, basically just for taunts.

Dev left; Maan stayed; Dev didn't try to contact her after she left; Maan basically stalked the poor gal..

It gave maan a boost to his ego to know that Geet was hurting.. to see her tears, to make her admit that she couldn't live without him..

Egoistical much? Very much.
