I've been watching old episodes for the last three days. Yesterday's episode symbolised what Geet said in the episode on Chopra dinner. Maan chides her for coming to the party when he asked her not to. He makes another one of his sexist comments that like any woman she does not do what he asks her to but does what he asks her not to. Geet gets up from the dinning table in a huff and tells him that he complains that she does not use her brains and lacks courage but when she does show courage he has a problem with it because deep down he does not like to see her strong. I guess that is exactly what Maan showed in yesterday's episode. He is not comfortable with the idea of Geet making it on her own. Although he kept saying that he was around to see her fail without him, he was actually apprehensive that she would succeed. I'm sure he would test her ruthlessly and am sure she will come out with flying colours. I only don't want to see him jeopardise her journey but be fair in this tussle between ego and self-respect.

Wanted to mention that the scene at the paint factory reminded me of what I read about Mrs.Sudha Murthy (wife of Mr.Narayana Murthy, CEO of Info sys). She was the first woman manager of TISCO and faced a lot of resentment from the blue collared workers who were not used to taking orders from a woman. She did not let this get her down but learnt everything they did. She also used to take her lunches with them and won their confidence over time. Hope they show Geet do a similar thing here.
