What I am going to write may not be related to the character directly, but it does share some relation with the actor since the issue right is not intertwined. It is the actor's unreasonable demand for a change in the character. So FB people please bare with this topic.
Mishti, first of all thanks for opening this thread... It was high time Dev/Abhinav came into us viewers' scrutiny...
Second of all, I would like to ask a pertinent question to Star One... What on earth were you guys thinking when you came up with the idea of that poll, "Should Dev be given a second chance...? Was this poll contested to get a reality check for yourself or for Mr. Abhinav Shukla...? If it was for yourself then here is what I have to say as an audience...
"No. He does not, because he is not remorse for what he has done. He is merely scared for getting kicked again. Geet must avenge for her misery since that will set an example for others who went through something similar. If not done, it will set an example for such people who can dupe others in broad daylight and walk scott-free. It may not be easy for Maan to accept that his brother destroyed his love's life earlier. But justice must be served."
I will not elaborate more on what CVs need to do since a lot of my IF friends have already suggested in the earlier posts... Ask us audience and we will give you the future plots in terms of pointers, if you guys are falling short of ideas. We as an audience (classes & masses) no longer cater in the Saas-Bahu kitchen politics drama. So, here is a request that please do not make Dev's character positive since there won't be anything left in the plot to look forward to. Its only been 5 months and you want to pull this show for the next 7 - 19 months more. So have faith in us and let us also do our job - watch your show and give you the desired TRPs...!!!
If this was for Abhinav... then here is what I have to say for him...
"Mr. Abhinav Shukla,
You are a handsome young man with a good physique and some talent. Talent which we saw in the earlier episodes of GEET as a negative character. (We loved you then.) Now, out of the blue you demand to become positive. Fine. If you really want to become positive then show some basic expressions that are common for a positive character. This we as audience are trying hard to see on your face, but have failed miserably. I do not know if you are unable to express due to lack of talent or you are deliberately not expressing to become a pain in the channel's ***. But here is my suggestion to you not because I am more in favor of Maan-Geet but because I am in favor of a different story line and the message lying within this show.
We have seen plenty of examples in the past wherein an actor has started with a negative character in the film/tv industry and have become a successful star in the future... I am not aware of English actors, but I can certainly number our Hindi actors... for e.g. Ashok Kumar, Amrish Puri, Shatrughna Sinha, Vinod Khanna, Shah Rukh Khan, etc... Today there are actors who are willing to expand their horizon in the name of negative/grey roles - Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, etc...
Dude, trust us audience today. We are lot smarter than the earlier generation and advanced in what we would like to see on big/small screen. If you are worried about your image, then trust us. If you portray the negative character this once on screen, you will definitely go places in the future. We loved you as a negative character in the earlier episodes and thats what we would lilke to see in the future. You can portray this suave negative character and you will be the first in TV industry to carry it off... Yes you will have to work hard to do so too... Nothing gets paid easy without hard work...!!! We as audience will support you in this track...!!!
Earlier when you didnt get enough footage then I would rather say that it was important for CVs to do so since they wanted to build MG's relationship. For the first time, I have seen a team of CVs & Nissar that is willing to give scope to other characters' groW*H. So, in this case why would they leave your character out when you are the next most important link in this plot...??? Think for yourself...!!! Everything has its own time & space and one should wait for it patiently... Your character's time has just come and everything rests upon you to deliver... Here is the chance for you to rise & shine and prove to us that you can do it, shut the mouths of the critics that claim that you can't act... Try to make us switch our loyalties for your acting...
You've got what you asked for - love for your character and the necessary reactions for your character; a "Dhoom" bike and a "Dhoom" entry. Now its about time you give us a "Dhoom" performance....

Sorry guys, this post didnt really cater towards Dev because somewhere I felt his demands are forcing the PH & CVs to change the story line. Hence, I catered towards Abhinav instead...!!! My intentions are the same as you guys, a better plot and a much better serial at the end...
