I am so late for my analysis! And now don't have much time! So will try to make it short! Ok don't be elated, it my style short! š But will try to write about the main scenes!
The episode started from where they left of y'day, always a good sign! And Maan's nervous tone to the doctor indicated how tense he was about Geet & the baby's health & well being. But somehow the comment of the doctor sounded a little weird to me. I mean do doctors say 'oh I know its difficult for u to stay away form ur wife'?? Anyway maybe it was an indication for us that even strangers can realise how much he loves & cares for her.
They played it all very safely. Didn't give out the info how many months pregnant Geet is but I am happy that there was a confirmation about the baby finally. We know its there, live & kicking inside Geet & not some figment of imagination as many thought till date. And the doctor's reprimand to Maan also made sense & looked real. Any doc would have said that why she didn't undergo any tests or take any prenatal vitamins. And I could see the meaningful looks exchanged between them, they obviously didn't have anything to say. But what I loved to the core was Geet's immediate effort to defend Maan & his immediately stopping her bearing all the brunt! If this is not true love then what is?? š And again I want to know is there a guy like this any where in the world?? Do they even exists? Even in dreams?? Loved it! And in such a gentleman like manner he took out the chair for her to sit! Really Maan! š
And once they were out he knew Geet would be emotional about the entire event & he tried to make it casual. And here I have to thank Barry Dhillon for again penning down some of the most powerful dialogs so simply, so deeply, so meaningfully right from the heart!
Her tearful emotional why r u so good, how can ur heart be so magnanimous, how can u be sympathetic, u brought me to the hospital & knowing....... & she left it at that! I know she meant 'knowing when its not ur baby' & he responded to her query with some of the best lines there. I have to say DD was amazing here to portray that overwhelming emotions of gratitude & love. His I am the same MSK who is selfish & here my requirement is to see u happy because if u r happy then my life is at peace, when u smile then my world smiles, y'day for the 1st time I realised my responsibilities & its my promise I will always be there for u at every happiness & sadness in ur life, in every high & lows, at every juncture !! And I was totally blown away!! So beautiful, meaningful, loving, compassionate & selfless!! This is MSK!! Definitely they don't make guys like this anymore, they can exist only in fiction!! š
Oh by the way did anyone feel the gibe about "I am the same MSK......', didn't it feel like he is telling us we r contemplating too much on his transformation & character??!! š But can't help it Maan, we love u & can't help being bothered if we see any changes in u that is out of ur character. š
And another beautiful moment Geet didn't utter a word but just slowly entangled her fingers into his & made it into a tight grip of union, bonding, togetherness of a lifetime! It reflected her love, gratitude, her belonging to him, acceptance of him, her pledge to be with him forever....everything reflected in that one wonderful gesture. She reciprocated his small gesture in the doctor's office with her own here. Absolutely fabulous.
When they came back home I know many people found it odd when Maan told her to go in early as people might talk but I would request u all to go beyond that & see the underlying reason for his saying so! Now Maan whatever he does or says is all because of Geet, whether she will be happy or if she will like something or what she wants or what she feels or what she dislikes..........everything reflects in his actions nowadays. He knows Geet is too aware of what people might talk & he knew people seeing them will make comments & he didn't want Geet to be in embarrassment, discomfort or unease even if they say something in jest. So that is the reason he asked her to go ahead. If it was for him he wouldn't have cared 2 hoots what people said!
And immediately after than he held her hand as well to show her his love but Geet shied away & left which again proved she will always be shy & the wary type about wagging strangers & people. I don't know what to make of Sasha, she looks envious of Geet & doesn't leave an opportunity to gibe at her & gets away too! I hope she gets exposed soon of her misdeeds towards Geet!
And that dancing part also proved what Maan wouldn't have dreamt of doing in front of others but did so only for Geet because he saw it in her eyes pleading in front of others & obviously he won't insult or let her down in any way in front of people. This is what I was talking about earlier, whatever he does he does it for Geet now. It might look unlike MSK but go to the depth of his actions to find the reasons why he is doing what he is doing. The day I will see he is doing it meaninglessly neither for Geet or for himself I will complain vehemently! But all said & done CV's don't make him a lovesick teenager doing a lot of public display of affections like u did last time during the time of Demellos. His character has to be consistent all throughout!!
One thing did anybody else find it funny when Maan started dancing?? I found it funny during 'dhaba' scene also when he did this type of bhangra & today also. I loved his grooves in 'where's the party tonight' but this 2 time it was odd. Maybe he was doing a fast move in a slow 'mahi' background score which made it look more weird.
After the dance sequence came something important!! Dadi's happiness & appreciation to Geet for bringing life & happiness back to Maan was an important sequence. She harped on how happy she was that they were engaged & she knew they would be the day Maan spoke about their engagement & during all this both Maan & Geet were exchanging glances uncomfortably!! He could read her eyes like always seeing the questions looming there about the authenticity of their engagement. He sensed her uneasiness about the entire matter & slowly left from there.
I understand what CV's meant here but was puzzled at the purpose of it all. After all the declaration of their love & pledges for life, after innumerable vociferation of Maan in front of the world she still is questioning about the authenticity of the engagement?? I mean once their relationship is accepted & received by both from the hearts shouldn't the engagement automatically be valid as well? I know when the arrangement of this engagement was decided they falsely enacting told each other it was fake but now with the change of events & situation shouldn't that be understood as well that this engagement is real just like their love & relationship? Or else it throws a confusing light on Geet's character if every time she questions Maan about the truth & depth of their relationship!! Only thing I can say here is they wanted to make everything genuine & authentic & give it a hearty verbal consent from both of them.
Geet's monologue also stated she feels though their relationship is real now but this engagement was falsely initiated. Anyway what followed was simply very beautiful! The CV's used the fake jewellery concept very well to bring out the authenticity of their engagement. Also Doodle u should be doing 'balle balle' today because like always Nissar listened to ur request about Maan putting jewellery on her on their engagement day!! Thanks Nissar!! š It was beautiful!
But what I loved here was the symbolism of it all. And it just struck me now while writing! OMG!! When Geet came & stood under that lighted gazebo it looked like a 'mandap' to me!! She was brought from a dark past to a brightly lit present signifying happiness & serenity!! As if she is there brought by her friend just like a bride is brought to face her groom to tie the knot in holy matrimony! And he comes there promising to build their relationship on nothing but truth & honesty erasing out all falsehood or fakery just like a 'marriage' is true & ethereal for the souls & hearts! And the sincerity of this was beautifully portrayed by Nissar here, I loved the comparison!! And Doodle did u finally notice which totally escaped us earlier?? This putting on jewellery had a major purpose today!! Finally the Parineeta Metaphor was complete!! OMG how did we miss it?? He put the chain on her signifying the 'mangalsutra' & today their rituals were complete. She put the Taveez on him the previous day & he completed the ritual today!! 'Varmala' exchange ceremony was completed, in Bengali we call it 'malabadal'!! In actual Parineeta too we had this, exchange of garlands between the protagonists under the vast open sky bathing them in the moonlight & array of stars spread out in the endless ocean of celestial heaven! And similarly here after he put on his stamp of authenticity on her, his everlasting presence in her life through that necklace, he went to look at the heavens as if asking for the blessings of the Lord Almighty through the moon which has an effervescent presence in their love story.
But he said very lovingly that their relationship is spotless because it is pure & divine & is based on honesty & sincerity which even the moon can't proclaim because it too has spots on it. And moreover on another level they r still pure in the sense they have not crossed to the next level of their relationship because they were not married in their 'inward eye' to themselves & now they r!! Remember that is the reason they didn't take their relationship to the next level in Manali, then they were not married in their minds & souls but finally they r today! And they have kept their relationship pure so far & thus it is spotless.
And the 2nd inference is obviously to show their relationship is soon to be smudged & tainted by a major debacle in name of Dev & that was well signified by Dev's walking in on them in the end of the episode!! Nissar what can I say?? U r beyond brilliant!! Ur ways of thinking & capturing the essence of Parineeta Metaphor is even better than all of us!! I am speechless!! A big pat on ur back & the CV's!! Nissar really u will be a role model for all ur confreres!!
And now though I hate to talk of it but I have to, it is the debacle I mentioned earlier, yeah u guessed it right, its Dev!! Now I simply can't fathom what direction the CV's r planning to take their story to! He is self reproaching today because he knows he will ultimately get caught by Maan & before that he wants to come clean obviously to save his back! Moreover it doesn't matter to him that his brother & Geet both r happy & in love finally & he is all set to break the engagement because of his mistake, no hang on, his sin!! So why would Maan & Geet pay for his sin when this guy is roaming around without a care enjoying all the fineries of life?? Geet is already paying for his crime & now he wants to take away the remnants of her happiness which she has achieved after so long!! And the channel is asking whether we should give him a 2nd chance or not?? Then all the molesters, abusers, rapists should be given a 2nd chance, no?? What about all those women who have suffered like Geet without a Maan in their lives, what should they do?? Give their culprit a 2nd chance?
And I am not seeing the genuine remorse or repentance yet in his eyes. Its his guilt & that is what is killing the joy for him! He knows he will be in trouble if Maan comes to know of his wrongdoing & now that he is tying the knot with Geet, this is what specially is bothering him & not true genuine remorse. He is swaying under the sympathetic guidance of Meera but when the time will come I am sure he will be busy saving his own back. Selfishly he wants to break the engagement, why Dev why? What will u achieve from this?? Is it because Maan will skin u alive? Or is it because u can't imagine who u slept with once will be ur 'bhabi' now & u have to look upto her with respect? Whatever it is I have no sympathy for him!! CV's he has to repent & suffer his consequences to the brim before he can be atoned. He has to give 'agnipariksha' in true sense to overcome his crime & wrongdoing, he has to burn in the flames of his own guilt & remorse even before he can be redeemed. If the actor wants to share equal footage with Maan then why not turn out into an all-and-out villain giving Maan run for his money? He can't have his cake & eat it too!! He can never be at par with GC in popularity & solely because of one major factor & that is HE CAN'T ACT for life!! He is stuck with one expression & simply can't remote! So how will he be a 2nd lead in the show with such a big disadvantage? We r not here to look at his profile & bare torso, we r here to see some acting & if that is what we don't get how & why will we appreciate him? I hope he realises his shortcoming soon & do something about it. He can't walk on the footsteps of someone but has to carve a niche of his own & for that he has to let go of his dream to be the lead of the show & be a villain instead to gather all the accolades & awards. Avinash I hope u think about this seriously & take a just decision for urself!!
That is all for now!! Have a good & wonderful weekend. Nissar & Co another beautiful episode & hope u keep doing this wonderful work! Thanks once again for continuing their date & engagement this whole week & bring the bomb next week! Overall a good episode!!
