Jyo: I agree to what you say and I agree with that premise!! But what I don't agree is someone saying that it is WRONG to live-in and that it is RIGHT to marry!!! By whose definition? Who decides right and wrong? By what value system? And what if the value system they base it on is itself grounds for debate?

Opti: Who is talking about babies and bath waters? Read what i said, I am saying, what you call marriage is not marriage in my dictionary; and what you call live-in is not live-in my lingo. And that they are mutually exchangeable. The rope and serpent theory!!!!

In a way tent is a good option than open air, because they won't have space to move around a lot like in RTM sequence.

Precisely Bri, they gave the symbolism which could be interpreted an any way but why did people see it as akin to the marriage rituals? There you have your answer.

Jyo, why should the live-in be acceptable for fiction but not in real life. Did we not want the show to send a message out there? Why should it then propogate a message which may not be very practical in real life?

Radomness on the side: why did we even decide to come up with marriage. I know society and acceptance etc. And humans are social. But at the end of the day, we are all from the animal kingdom, just more evolved. And since I am a biologist and a big believer of Darwin, to me it's survival of the fittest. Reproduce and evolve.
Love complicates this theory.

Anyway don't start thowing chappals at me for comparison to animals.
