If you have FLV format, the resolution gets reduced when converting into avi. There are many solutions for viewing in TV.
1. Don't convert into Avi format. You can use the flv format as it is. This can be done only if you have a laptop.
Then laptop should have either HDMI out to connect to TV or S-video out. My laptop has both.
2. If your Tv has HDMI in [normally all LCD TVs has HDMI in] and your laptop has HDMI out, then use HDMI cable and connect laptop to Tv through the cable and watch on big screen. You may have to make little changes in Graphic properties. But the video quality you get will be excellent through HDMI cable.
3. If you don't have HDMI ports on both Tv as well as laptop, then you can use a cable with S-video jack with one end and the other end with composite cable [yellow, red, white]. Then also you can watch in Tv. But the laptop should have S-video out port.
There are 2 types of S-video cables, one is 4-pin s-video cable and second is 7-pin S-video cable. Before buying the cable, check your laptop's S-video port and see which type of s-video cable is required i.e 4-pin or 7-pin.

You download the US versions from Desi9 forum.com. They are of high quality. But they don't have songs in their episodes. I have edited them and uploaded those episodes with songs in my other thread.
4. Another method is you have to use video cleaning softwares like virtual dub or virtual dub mod and run the original video through the filters available in these softwares and then convert to Avi. Still the resolution will be less but better than converting directly to avi.
5. If you don't want to follow any of the above procedures, then you may have to configure your XVID decoder settings. You have to change the bitrate, and many other things.
Till 100th episodes, I have downloaded from desi9 forum.com. The file size is quiet big but the video quality is superb. .Nowadays, I record the episodes myself to DVR box and then convert to avi, so I am not downloading from sites.
