@Meenu....You got it right, in the indian culture the engagement ring is very much like a mangalsutra, only girls flaunt it. Only recently have men been introduced to the whole concept of wearing an engagement ring. That too only in a few cultures.

Thanks love, it is a fairytale most of the time, other times it turns into a pumpkin 🤣 🤣 Over all it is a good marriage.
