lovely take, dolphin (sorry, i'm not sure if i can call u tht, i do not know ur name!) 👏
meri dost dolph so rahi hai ... and i am her unofficially appointed official representative on this side of the globe ...
btw she loves being called Dolphin...😊😊
i loved how you explained the symbolism about each scene of maneet today. i did read ur other posts for the previous episodes too, but never found the time to comment. but today, i thought i';ll let u know, how amazing ur posts are..!!!!
i sometimes, actually wonder, if the CV's dig into such depths , before thinking of a scene, but people here on the forum certainly do...!!!!
you know i was thinking the same ... i am sure they dont go soo much into the depths .. but yeah detailed discussions to happen to maintain the level of consistency they have in scenes .. otherwise they cant take the storyline forward .. there are other shows where i am sure scenes are written each one a day .. and the haphazardness shows ... but in case of Geet, the makers have made it a point to keep all the concerned people in character .. even if it is someone as simple as Pinky or Adi ... they are not given lines for the heck of it.., you can imagine how much they must research in Maan ...!! and ofcourse Geet ...
now coming back to ur take, like i said, u've written everything out so well, that i dont really have much to say...!!!
i liked the office scene where he talks of emotion and tells himself that ghar emotion se ya pyar se nahi banta. despite his anger and his repeated statements that he does not believe in love, he makes it a point not to bring in geet anywhere. he simply says i do what i want, and if that's not the case, then i'm not taking up this task. neither did he insult her, nor did he talk ill about her, he does not even look at her! loved how he kept things very professional, he knows what happened between geet and him, is not to be discussed in office. he certainly did not want people to question his relationship with geet and hence simply takes a different route. it is amazing how the consistency in his character is maintained.
i always knew he would never do anything to humiliate her .. he could be angry with her but its still their personal thing... and he had made that very clear to her post the Rasika incident... and Maan is not a man who makes false promises ... if he makes a promise he keeps it ... and he doesnt say anything unless he feels it from the heart .. so though he is mad at her... he knows ... its something he has to deal with... he perhaps didnt want her also to be a part of that side of his world...
there have been instances where he handed over geet's projects to other people, because he wanted to avoid her , or keep her away, he could have done that even now, but he did not. he just says, i want the plan changed a little. though he meant, he was a little against what geet had suggested, he did not say that point blank. because he knows it would hurt her and to see her hurt , would hurt him a million times more...!!!!
the guy amazes me to depths when he shows how he clearly wants or doesnt want something ...
i will leave the rest for the woman who actually posted it to describe what she also would love to say ... until then its me signing off on behalf of...Dolph 😉
