No he is not confused, he wasn't planning to give Geet the ring because he wanted to make sure she loved him too, but when he saw her yesterday his heart took over and he gave her the ring. That is why he was questioning why he gave her the ring. He also is still aware that to her the engagement is fake, and when she behaves the way she did before going to the office, you can't blame him.

The both are confusing each other, the only reason why some of us are taking Maan's side is because majority of you all are taking Geet's side.
