Sorry to butt in with my take. I had put up a similar track in my Maaneet scenes - Maan being married earlier and his wife aborting his child. So I'll give the explanation as to what was on my mind when I went in with this track. Maan is shown to have two extreme views on women. Initially he was shown to consider women as weak, always in need of male support, too meek to speak up against injustices meted out to them. Later he says that they can be manipulative and do anything for money (when he accuses Geet at the outhouse). Now one can wonder how he can think women are weak and at the same time think they are manipulative. Unless the CVs have lost track of how they wanted to portray Maan's perceptions on women, I think these extreme views could be the product of different experiences he may have had with the important women in his life. My hunch is that the helpless bit may refer to his mother and the shrewd, ambitious, manipulative bit may be refering to Sameera, his love interest. There is also Dadi's speech about Sameera committing a sin.

Now putting these together, I thought that Sameera may have done something which should stand starkly different from what Geet did. Hence I got in this track where he was married to Sameera who was his classmate. This girl was the direct opposite of his mother, bold and independent which is why he was attracted to her in the first place because his mother's meekness may have led him to lose her. However, she ended up being too headstrong and ambitious and has their baby (conceived pretty early on in the marriage) aborted. This disillusions him and the two drift apart and divorce each other withing six months of marriage.

How can Maan have had feelings for any other girl, that too feelings as intense as leading to physical intimacy? Now I dont think there needs to be a powerful emotional connection for a man inorder to feel the same intensity in the physical aspect of his relationship. (Men tend to be more physcial than emotional) Maan could have had a deep infactuation with this girl whom he was also strongly physically attracted to. That does not make his love for Geet any less, for here he not only feels strongly attracted to Geet physically but also seems to have a stronger emotional connection. This feeling is new to him and he has never felt this for anyone else including Sameera which is why he was shown to repeatedly question himself in the early stages of Maaneet relationship.

Coming to the abortion bit, this is where the stark contrast in the characters will stick out. Here is a girl (Geet) who goes against the world for the sake of her baby whereas his former wife/lover went against the baby (or did the baby in) for the sake of the world. Geet will also stand in contrast to his mother (if my hunch that she committed suicide is right) for here is the woman who picks up the pieces of her life and faces life head on, despite all odds against her. So Geet would represent the amalgamation of all the qualities he aspired to find in a woman but felt they lacked. While she is courageous and independent like his lover/wife, she is also warm and loving like his mother who unfortunately was too soft to face the world.

Hope I was able to convey my thoughts on this matter.

Just as Maan has been a stark contrast to Dev, the man in her life, Geet would be the stark contrast of the women in Maan's life.

GF - dont get angry with me... i wasnt spreading rumours... i was just presenting a possibility that Sameera aborted the child despite him wanting to be with her always... she manipulated the money matters n ran off for better opportunities.... so i spoke bout their physical relationship and the child .....

Never I had absolutely never thought even in my widest dreams that i would be let down by an epi of geet.. I agree it was a filler n was done to lighten up the atmosphere b4 the heavy duty strom.. But this was the worst filler epi till date n i hope it remains soo.. I knew that they will not show the revelation today, but had though that the grounds for the revelation will be prepared today... But alas.... Doodle, me wanna wack ur hubby hard on his A$$...

The Kuch Toh Hua sequence, Me pea brain got a doubt *embarresed with me self....* was it even real to begin with.? It Seemed like a DREAM to me... Geet picking petals, CVs SERIOUSLY... I mean Geet on friday still being confused about Maan's feelings for her. And then after a weekend, what do we get? The confirmations she wanted were really Sweet-cute-little-nothings executed through the song sequence "Kuchh to hua hai". So, her doubts were not serious - just a part of falling in love. Like "Does he still yell at me for small mistakes?" Ok geet can at times be immature n childish but this was an utter dissapointment....I guess my expectations r sky high...But i must add geet did act her age after all...

I liked MSK wanted Geet to call him Maan... I don't want the "Sir" word anymore that 2 after that heavy duty HP fight sequence...and Maan was giving an excuse of Dadima was expected...but I know that he too is dying to hear maan from her...

Today MSK was stripped from his ' Main stalking Karta' title, (Dono where this stripping of MSK will end) it went to his wifey dearest WWF champion Mahabali GEET... N did geet sleep with her heavy weight title on?????

So she finally decides that it's time she gets her own happiness.....Great...... very very good....

MSK, the angry young man back with a bang... Loved the fact that he is the same sadu for others... But today MSK was being rude to Geet during the party. I mean that defo not the way to speak to ur fiance in the public... N maan u r supposed to be in love with her...It was not geet's fault, they y the hell was he being rude to her??? Why din't he tell his idiotic staff to clear out the office??

I throughly enjoyed Sasha's Appearence n her reactions.....Sasha's crumpled face and tasha offering condolences were priceless.....I was really missing sasha n her appearance made my day....

MSK reading Geet's expressions b4 reacting n seeking her approval was the highlight of the epi....
Did u look at the size of that piece geet had held to feed maan, i felt it was not from the cake that was shown..????
I mean maan took a small bit n fed geet, but geet wanted to feed maan half the cake in one go... I found this hillarious...Me pea brain got another doubt *embarresed with me self....* How on earth did that ring land up on the piece MSK was supposed to hog (i mean look at the size of it),The cake was quite huge if i am right... I guess Even the ring cannot resist the charms of The MSK n is fatally attracted to him...By the way was that ring for maan???? I mean look at the size of it, am sure it'll fall of guru's thumb too...I wanted man to get the engagement ring for geet n not dadi...

Maan calling Geet sweetheart n faking a kiss---ewwwww... But from maan's POV i support him cause he did all that to avoid embarrasement to geet...But maan crushing the cake was funny... Maneet banter at the end was ok....

But since it's a show, there is bound to be a twist. 😊
