She stepped out from the ring of known to walk on a path unknown. It was not out of choice but circumstances were unfriendly and dark. Memories fade with time and dead ones become hard to remember faces. But, what you do with the living ones who are two steps away but the road back is completely blocked. A new circle comes in existence, comprising of new faces but can it take the place of the old, still breathing circle. Geet may have found the perfect man who will be by her side come what may. But, he cannot be a replacement. He is her companion but not the solution for the heart that wants to touch the walls of the home, and feel the same old warmth.

Swaying trees of my land,

Sense a daughter's return,

From a fate imposed crossroad turn,

Looking for the caress of old.

The cold wind holds her in an embrace,

Bringing with it recollection of vivid days,

When the knock of the warm sunrays,

Held the promise of a life without any dark trace.

The home is two steps away,

But, doors do not have a welcome sign,

She relinquished her right to call it "mine,"

When love and humanity lost its way.

Eyes are wet thinking of own,

A glimpse is what the heart desires,

But, she burned down all the bridges,

To walk with pride on an unknown path all alone.
