#Devil's Den#: DIL mein mere hai DARD-E-DISCO*

Ok after watching the repeat I have to say it was an emotional roller coaster in the true word!! And yes Jyoti we got many 'Con' words today, 'Conversation, Consolation, Confrontation, Conviction, Confirmation & Concern, not necessarily in order though! I will later think of any if it pops up in mind.

The episode starts itself striking an emotional chord very different from the button scene where they left at y'day! The kurti scene was passionate & full of ownership whereas today it had a different ownership, a mom's love for its child & vice versa. We see that auntyji playing with her kid, cuddling him, showering her love on him & Geet looking at them with longing, wanting that from her mom as well. The 1st scene kind of told us how the episode will be like.

Then her answer to the lady's query about missing her family & how she can't go visit them was a heartbreaking beginning. Today they justified the title of the show, 'Geet sabse huyi parayi' & they also showed in 'sabse' Maan is not included! Very distinctly suggested. She left her family herself due to the circumstances & now doesn't have the means to go back because she herself has broken all the ties & moved ahead in life but she has an anchor in her life for whom she can go to any length & that is Maan! He is not included in the 'sabse' but is 'apne'.

And what I liked here is Maan actually saw her pain unlike in other shows there is no body to witness anything when the right time comes but when its not required everyone is there to witness everything. Arrgghh! I guess this is what makes Geet unique from other shows! And anybody even had an ounce of doubt that Maan wouldn't follow Geet?? Obviously not!

Again the fb's were emotional signifying her desperate attempts to hold on to her parents for support & strength! And here comes her true support Maan himself to present her with everything she needs (a contrast from her past & present) & what I noticed was their eyes!! Geet had that faraway sad look in her eyes & Maan had that sad helpless look & for the 1st time he was at a loss as to what to do or say to make her feel better. No wonder he stated that HP was a bad idea & she agreed so timidly!

His 'concern' showed in his act when he wanted to cover her with the blanket thinking she might catch a cold. And this "CONCERN" existed all throughout the episode in their entire CONVERSATION. And Barry Dhillon pls take a bow again today, very beautiful dialogs to express Geet's feelings. U know in bengali there is a saying that even a crow from our home makes one feel good & that is what I remembered when I heard how she was welcoming the wind as it hails from her hometown bringing a feel of her parents & good memories to her. All of us go through this separation anxiety at one point of time in our lives but for her its completely different! It was not a sweet separation but a bitter one which one can only bury it safely in some remote corner of the mind.

And if Maan showed concern for her today then she CONFESSED her innermost thoughts to him about missing her parents & how she craves to be with them & yet she knows she can't. When she said all this I could see the pang of pain in Maan's eyes, really for the 1st time I saw helplessness in his eyes, he just didn't know how to stop Geet! And the gesture of her inching forward along the rail of the balcony & how he too slowly edges forward is beautifully done showing he is there every step of the way! Parineeta metaphor at work again!! I won't go to the extent of calling it a 'phera' but do look at it, she walks ahead & he behind her! Step by step walking along never to let go, ever!! Liked that touch.

Geet was emotional with her pain but it reflected in his eyes all along! At first when I watched I noticed & heard only Geet but at repeat watching I noticed his pain as well. He was undergoing her pain!! Then his CONSOLATION started! The way he tried to encourage her instilling the CONFIDENCE again was amazing. Yes it was her decision to stay away because her family wanted to separate her from them & she stood steadfast in her decision to make a ground for herself, to make a new living for herself & that steadfastness is what makes her unique! Wonderfully said! And he said he even witnessed how her family dealt with her! So he has started connecting the dots afterall!

Geet's next statement was so heartfelt, she wanted to live the same dreams of any 18 yr old, she didn't want to be different from them. I just felt like hugging her at that moment. Ok did any of u see the quizzical look Maan had on his face then? Wondering why is she doing this to herself? Feeling the pain that she is going through!? And when she started again how she longs to be with her family & wants to lie in the lap of her mom look at how Maan immediately closes his eyes in pain! Does it not tell u that he underwent similar pains?? He too feels his own pain here along with hers? Anybody felt that?? I did, I maybe wrong but I felt here his reactions conveyed he too had suffered similar pangs related to his family & thus can CONVEY to her not to look back at painful memories, to stick to the life she has chosen for herself, to be proud of herself! Wishful thinking.......don't know, will see later what the CV's have up their sleeve as far as his past is concerned.

He tries to CONVINCE her again that she is different from any 18 yr old who leads an ordinary life, he has seen her with all the courage possible which he has never seen in any girl!! Good convincing Maan! Some decisions r in the hands of Fate & she has fought with Fate to make a new life of her own. And here comes her CONFESSION of sorts that she is not courageous, if she was then she would be with her family now. The Lord has written a solitary life of challenges for her. And the moment she said she is all alone again a painstaking look on Maan's face came along! He can't see her alone & destitute for sure! And bang comes the CONFESSION from his part with all the CONVICTION possible, 'u r not alone I am with u, haan'!! Bravo! But why wasn't the word 'hamesha' used along with this confession? That would have made such a profound impact in that statement, 'I will be there for u, always'!

And I liked his gesture as well, his care, concern, love, integrity everything reflected in the way he wrapped the blanket around her taking her in on himself, absorbing all her pains & hurt, it looked like he embedded her in himself! And Geet here just let herself go, let him take charge of her, just took in all the support & strength he offered to her, leaned on him letting go of herself & her hurt, pain & inhibitions! He CONFIRMED his love for her here, she realised what he is offering to her & how she absorbed it all up! They were 2 body & 1 soul here. Again Parineeta metaphor implied here to convey their support & love & concern for one another.

Here to me this hug was not a passionate one but a warm, selfless, consoling hug but I still felt it should have been a full one instead of a partial one sided one! I don't expect sparks to fly but what I wanted was for Geet to envelop him in her arms taking all the comfort he offered along with the promise he made. For him it was ok because he didn't want to push her but just say I am there for u whenever u need me but Geet should be the one needing the support, strength & consolation from him, I wanted her to hug him back with all her might! But anyway overall it was a very nicely carried out scene. Maybe to cover both their faces & expression they showed this hug, if it was a full hug they couldn't have done that, so from camera point of view I understand why did they show it like this!

NT & Dev I will omit today not in the mood to talk about their insecurities & issues! The CV's r almost making us feel pity for Dev & I definitely don't want to do that. Let him suffer all he can in hands of his loving wife herself! Serves him right! The CV's r proving 'what goes around comes around' to the core!

Y'day I was mad with the CV's for portraying Geet like an erratic fool but today they proved me wrong! This girl has the brains with looks. Not only she decided to take on Rasika but also fooled Maan big time as well.

Next scene very important factor was shown in the flashback! Her own family, though her own, was all set to take her life whereas Maan is the one who saved her life from them! Obviously Maan is more important to her now, she is indebted to him! I loved the determination she had of saving her saviour's life by hook or crook & she went ahead with her plan to put Rasika in her place. So she had a plan all along! Good! I was wondering she is only thinking of apologising to Rasika imagining she will let Maan go scot free! She thought of CONFRONTING Rasika all alone, long way u have come Geet! Kudos & thanks to Maan for making her a tigress with all the goading he did instilling confidence & independence!!

The next part was funny as to how she manages to sidetrack Maan while she worked on her plans. I found it hilarious when she was telling aunty not to worry when Maan was here. At that point of time Maan had that proud look on his face (as if look at me, the great MSK) but the moment Geet pulled that one up, his face changed to rage & surprise! That made me laugh. But I was also happy to see Maan to get her out of there got his car fixed without any delay. He knew Geet was upset the previous night & he won't allow another moment of sorrow to torment her any more. So the faster they leave better for them. Yeah dreammy!!

I knew Geet would be acting like her own self, we will not see some professional plans from her end but knew she will try to implement her inane methods on Rasika to teach her a lesson. CV's I actually like it, shows character consistency! Suddenly if she had hired lawyers or made big plans it would have looked out of character on Geet but this means was very much her. Good job!

As usual Rasika won't bother to listen to her & I don't understand what is the point of her threatening Geet! Every time reiterating Maan will be behind bars will gain her what?! Anyway I loved our hero's entry, no knocking just enter bang on shouting Geet! He knew she would be there & simply followed her. Again shows his understanding of her. And what I love was even when Rasika saw him & spoke to him he didn't bother to even look at her, he walked straight to Geet in anger & concern. Only when Geet said that the matter is not resolved did he look at Rasika for the 1st time saying he is not scared of her. I wanted to applaud here, he doesn't give a darn to Rasika & her threats!!

Here when Maan entered Geet was scared thinking to be the people of HP & of her being noticed by the villagers but on hearing Maan's voice her look conveyed to surprise & relief all at once.

And the next segment was the highlight of the episode for me. Rasika's threat to Maan & Geet's loss of all patience & reserve, nobody can dare say anything to Maan in front of her. Again a wifely promise as per the Parineeta theory, standing & supporting one's husband in times of need. Both of them showed this support today for one another. That finger pointing of Geet was so apt & yet so sudden & it shows the character growth of Geet from day 1 till now. How she can stand back & answer if required & accept no nonsense from anyone was all implied in that scene. The look of Maan here was amazing, he couldn't believe his eyes to see Geet in that avatar! But what I loved was how he took her finger & fist in his hand kind of calmed her down with his calling her name & the gesture of his eyes. It was like "Geet let it go, its ok, dont do this, I am here to take care of things, don't lose ur temper'......he said it all & her immediate understanding of him & she slowly relaxed. Only he has that calming effect on her!

The next segment was a fast one happening all at once! I just saw the concern of Maan for Geet & her goading Rasika to surrender her plans of sending Maan to jail. In spite of being worried what if someone sees her there she held on to her point. That last shot of Maan with his fear for Geet said it all, what danger they might be in.

I won't talk about the precap now, will talk about it when I will watch it tomorrow, precaps can be misleading sometimes. It can be fb's or maybe something happening tomorrow. Once I saw their sedan & thought its currently happening & then the next moment saw Maan looking back & thought he was in his jeep. So will wait to see what they have for us tomorrow.

Overall a very nice episode. Again this emotional showdown was required for Geet to let go of her family & their memories. If y'day she drew a clean slate as far as her wedding was concerned today she did that about her family! Now she can start afresh all over again with Maan!

And another thing that can be noticed is, its not only Geet who has grown in her character, its Maan as well. He is so understanding now, so soft & gentle, so caring, so mellow compared to what he was. So he is also growing with her in love.

My only issue if I can point any was with the half hug & how at times Gurmeet looked very tired! Some shots was portraying it badly, maybe he is working overtime to bank his episodes but whatever it is he was looking a little exhausted with exertion & so some parts it looked like he lacked energy while performing, specially the 1st segment. Otherwise the episode was bang on!!

Doodle will read ur analysis now & am sure u must have aced it like always!!! Sometime I really feel like showering u with flowers for ur talent but can't make up my mind should I go for Orchids or Birds of Paradise or simply with Lily!! 😆 🤗
