Will try to make head or tail of it later! Need my logical brains today!
Ok now back to dissecting the episode!! Well where should I start?? Ok CV's usually its not very difficult to please me at all! Some good scenes of main lead & usually I am satisfied but provided there is character consistency & some logic in the story telling.
I will not say this is a trash episode but definitely it lacked the masterpiece touch which u usually give in almost all the episodes. Some parts were very good & in some something was amiss. Well more to it later.
We start of with Geet in the bus!! Ok I know due to cinematic liberty we don't need to see all the details but don't u think it would have been better if u had started of showing Geet's reasoning in the office in her room & then going out for HP without informing Maan but meeting Adi & Pinky on the way out & telling them about her decision. That would have been more logical to me & u know what it would have been a perfect continuity to where u left of on Friday. I felt the start was very abrupt.
I know a person in love does stupid things but being so illogical as to not carry a pair of change as well?? Itni bhi kya hadbadi thi?? I know Maan was supposed to be in jail if he didn't go to HP but Geet use a little logic here. MSK is not a new kid in the block, he is in the business for a long while now & he can surely take care of himself & others & if he is not too bothered about Rasika then it may not be so worth while to worry about. And u really thought saying 'SORRY' to Rasika will let Maan off the hook! Girl u r naive! So this is where my problem lied, I found tad bit of logic missing here in her reasoning process. Character I won't say was inconsistent because as far as Geet is concerned she intends to do something out of a whim on a sudden urge, so that way if I see she acted according to her nature & personality. But I guess u tried to show the impact of her love for Maan. But starting directly in the bus & then her reasoning was a little off beat for me.
But the flashbacks & her memories did bring out the sinister past & the danger lurking around in which she is walking into consciously & that too all for her love for Maan. Again the hint that people in love often do things which r insensible to others but to them they r justified. To her nothing mattered other than Maan & his safety & reputation & for that she was willing to walk right into the lion's den unarmed. The whole point of showing her true love definitely succeeded & specially with her dialog, my life is indebted to Maan or else I wouldn't have been alive today says all about her sudden decision!!
Now another problem I have is u all show Maan standing there waiting for her, how did he come all this way?? Flying in his car? Even if u had showed this I would have been happy. Again I wanted to see how he grills Adi & Pinky about Geet's whereabouts & then running out of his office to catch up with her. And what about Dadi?? Wasn't she waiting for a dinner at home to introduce Geet to Dev & NT?? Nobody informed her??
Ok now the interaction in HP between them, bang on! I liked this part a lot CV's. Maan's being extra careful & looking around before talking in a hushed manner was very well done. A touch of reality & sense here. And in this section both their love showed in their eyes & dialogs. Each is concerned for the other & all throughout their love shows in their actions. Geet refusing to return taking a dare devil chance to go & meet Rasika apologise & come back was truly a step taken to protect her love & show her stubborn nature. And Maan's outburst at her seeing her foolishness was very real & well done. Loved it when Geet almost blurted out how important he is to her & she is doing all this only for him & at his questioning almost blurted out about her love for him & slowly correcting herself about what to tell dadima! All along I loved the look on Maan's face, he was searching her eyes to see what actually she meant, where was she coming from, was there more to her, was she trying to conceal something from him......all that showed in his expression. And his classic touch 'mangetar jhooth ki' was amazing! As if he wanted to remind her now that all ur lies about what to tell dadima is all hogwash because u always say 'fake' fiance to me & for me u did all this, admit it Geet u love me! 😍 That was a brilliant touch! And here again I loved that Maan had the control & took her back to the car shushing her up with his dreamy 'chup....bilkul chup'. 😆 He knows what danger she is going into for him & for his life he can't let that happen. Again proof of their true love for each other. Well done CV's. And brilliant acting on Drashti & Gurmeet's part.
Next segment was little over the top! Geet loudly self-talking so that he can hear her displeasure was cute & his retaliation as well about how he doesn't like girls who talks too much was hilarious! Very MSK type!! And Geet's calling her 'baba Adam' was another comical moment.
Now here about Geet's antics, I know she is unpredictable but does she really have to do that?? Not only she looks ridiculous but foolish as well trying to take out the car keys while the car is in motion!! Being erratic is one thing but being stupid is another & I would request u CV's not to show Geet as a fool! U know what I would have liked here, they talking like they did on Friday in the office in front of those lawyers, that made more sense. Now they r in the car all alone & we could have seen a mature logical conversation where Geet could have persisted in her own style & Maan rejecting her suggestions in his own arrogant way. Anyway after the accident I loved the initial concern they had for each other, obviously reflects their love & care for one another. But after that I would have expected Maan to blow his top off at Geet for that incident instead of his mild rebuke when he told her how he lands up in trouble whenever she is with him. If we know MSK well we would have seen smoke coming out of his ears after that incident in anger. 😃 CV's pls, pls, pls keep the characters consistent! We love & adore & admire MSK for what u have shown him so far, so pls don't suddenly mellow him down or make him totally mushy!!
And the rest was a little too filmy for me, them to meet the dhaba couple (do we even know their name? Or did I miss it?) & how every thing just fell into place. And our Mr. MSK loves to profess to the world so proudly about his fiancee, no?? 😆 Wherever he is getting a chance he is announcing about his engagement & later adding the 'fake' only to Geet!! So many means & ways to bind her to him for good! Good going Maan! Shows how serious he is about this engagement! And this dhaba couple remembered them after so long from that one night of acquaintance?? Wow what a memory!! Have to take tips from them, I forget stuff from y'day!! 😃 I won't say anything about the invitation to the wedding because I have seen earlier as well, the punjabis r very lively people & they r very welcoming as well. So their asking them to join I will let go.
Frankly I don't understand the logic of the wedding yet but I guess it will have an important bearing in the upcoming days & so these two were tagged along to the wedding & Maan's accepting the invitation also proves it. Maybe those memories of Geet was required, how she looks back at her wedding with no feelings or importance, how she thinks those were the bygone days that ended with her departure from HP. Those feelings that submerged from her subconscious & how she pushed it all down back to where it belong is important. It shows she is not giving importance to her past & now all that matters is her present & that is her love, Maan.
And from today the dice started rolling, Maan notices Geet is not her usual self, she is somewhere far away, deep in her thoughts, trying to deal with something in her mind. His intent look across the room said it all, how his eyes didn't waver from Geet all along & that concerned 'r u ok Geet' also proved he is worried about her & notices something troubling her. So henceforth this stance of Geet will make him more inquisitive & out of concern he would try to find out more either by probing or persuading her with questions. I just hope they don't come across anyone from Geet's family in that wedding tomorrow!
The next scene must have made every one super happy including me!! 😃😃 Our 'shareef munda' back to looking away without her dupatta is a classic touch every time I see it. 😆 And he must have come there to ask her if she was ok again other than changing ofcourse. And Geet is looking out of the world in this scene, beautiful is an understatement!! No wonder Maan is all gooey eyed! 😆 His intent look as usual makes all of us hyperventilate like always. And he has really mellowed down, he didn't shout at the kids but very nicely shooed them away. Love does wonders on people I guess! 😆 And she too feels unnerved with his intent look & so leaves from there. 😃😳
And after that following her around was very romantic but nevertheless it was a little non-Maan like characteristic to me. I know, I know, we wouldn't have got that superb scene if he didn't follow her around but still found it a little disconcerting to see Maan tagging along side Geet in a house full of people. When he does it alone at home it looks ok, at office there too it feels ok but here....I don't know, I felt it was a little off from MSK style, but anyway won't complain much. 😃 To me Maan would be like just coming straight forward in front of everyone calling for Geet asking her for a moment. He is that forward & carefree!! But I guess u wanted to portray the small town psychology here so will let it pass.
Her discomfort at his following her was very natural & later when he finally pulled her in a corner their eyes were more than passionate! Almost saying now enough of these cat & mouse game, finally I got u! And after that he slowly putting his hand on her neck to turn her around & then slowly buttoning her up was definitely an 'oohhh lala' moment. 😃 What I loved here was how slowly he did it taking his time & all the while looking at her to see what is her reaction, what she is doing & feeling........& his eyes!!! THUD moment for sure! 😆 And those slight stroking fingers on her back was again an 'oomph' factor here. Very very well done, true romance at its best!
And Geet's reprimanding him for following her around & what people might think because its a small town was a touch down for me to be back on earth!! 😃 They looked so good, both of them!! And Gurmeet here I would say u were looking too lean in that black shirt or 'pathan' outfit, u need to eat, u definitely have lost a lot of weight due to ur ill health.
Suddenly seeing NT I was kind of woken from my sweet dreams with a jerk. Well she being her usual psychotic self, now she knows Geet was Maan's secretary! I wonder how will this information be useful to her & later on what will she do when she will connect the dots together!! I am sure Dadi some time will blurt out Maan is engaged to his secretary & for NT all hell will break loose then. And she comes to the office & walks out of it with a file just like that!! What audacity! Adi u should have called Maan right then & there to inform him, this lady would been sent back to her black hole by Maan. And what else does she plan to do with the file? Show Dev his autograph & ask for one herself in her divorce papers or keep going round & round in circles crying'
'Fee! Fie! Foe! Fum!
I smell the blood of my husband...yum!
Be he 'live, or be he dead,
I'll grind his bones to make my bread.' 😆😆😆
Ok back to being serious, loved the last scene, thank u CV's to keep the mood going & ending with Maan & Geet scene instead of with NT. Loved their proximity & his intense looks & Geet's doting mesmerised look at him. And his soft, raspy, voice is back!! And I am dead! 😆 Ok loved how he said I know how to behave in a small town & ur buttons were undone & though u r my 'fake' fiancee but still won't able to bear to see anyone looking at u like this!! Ok why was not 'bardaast' used here instead of 'main dekh nahi sakta'?? Was it because last time 'bardaast' was used in a very hurtful manner by both of them? But still I would have loved to hear that from Maan, he said that very well coming down the stairs on last Tuesday. It would made it more authoritative! And both r simply not bothered by any interference, so sweet! Do they realise how everyone comments on their being an ideal couple, so made for each other?? 1st Pari, then dadi, then today that dhaba lady & in the next scene even the kids......Maan u shouldn't be having any doubts left as far as her feelings r concerned!! And finally Geet's confession about how he is always there at every juncture of her life to save her from all the troubles & how it is becoming difficult to keep her feelings for him at bay was such a melt down for me! Both head over heels in love & trying their best to be there for one another.......best phase of love ever!!
Again CV's thank u for the romantic moments & once again I would request u all to take it slow. Though I loved the episode in parts I have problems with the pace! I felt it was rushed today & some portions I felt character consistency was missing. U all have given such mind blowing episodes in the past that our expectations have gone very high & we expect the best from you all always, so a little here & there & we get disconcerted. I know from tomorrow we will delve deeper into HP matters & slowly the seriousness of the situation will settle in & we will see Maan becoming more & more concerned about Geet & thus trying to dig in her past to know more! And who knows, they might come face to face with Geet's family as well, a lot more in store I am sure & hope we get what we want to our heart's content....the love & romance of Geet & Maan!
Overall an ok episode, actually I will make it good because of the last segment.
Doodle have not read ur take will read when u will post along with other's posts as well. **Phew, done finally**
PS - I will edit some more!!! Now about the wedding I don't know if I am correct or not, it serves a purpose in 2 ways. Its going to bring the memories back to Geet of her own wedding & thus helping her to erase it out of her system for good so that she can welcome her union with Maan in heart, body & soul with open arms!
And 2ndly I feel maybe the CV's have a plan up their sleeves. In some way while the marriage rituals will take place maybe both Maan & Geet will involuntarily be a part of it as well following them showing the marriage of souls taking place. I don't know, this just came to my mind! If the couple is taking 'phera' for example, maybe Maan is looking at Geet intensely & she to avoid him keeps going round & round & he too follows her in the peripheral circumferance unknowingly where the wedding 'pheras' r taking place symbolising their marriage as well. I know maybe I am totally wrong or not making sense at all but I just had this gut feeling that all of a sudden a wedding in the scenario has to have some important implication. And Nissar is famous for his symbolism! 😃
And another request to the CV's I read u all have posed questions about the pregnancy in the FB page whether or not Geet should tell Maan the truth about her pregnancy & whether she should say if it is Dev's baby or not!!
Now if u ask me my answer will differ from the masses. If I put myself in Geet's shoes i find her logic absolutely justifiable in not telling Maan anything. 1st of all she loves him & doesn't want to burden him with her personal baggages, she is learning to be independent for the first time & why would she again depend on Maan for something that is her own decision! Moreover I liked the fact that she said in her own way that she can't be with him not because she doesn't love him but she doesn't want to bog him down, now the onus will be on Maan to find out what she really meant by all that! And after he does discover I am sure he will realise & connect the dots as to the cause of her rejection & not only will his love for her grow more but also he will have immense respect for her as well which is very much essential in any relationship. So only for this reason I want Geet not to say anything to Maan but let him find it out on his own.
And about Dev being the father once they return from HP & the final confrontation takes place between Dev & Geet then let the truth come out. In this way Maan can't be persuaded by the devious lies that Dev or NT might pose to clear themselves, he will already know the truth & would then know how to handle the situation.
I know many wanted Geet to tell the truth now but why follow the innumerable usual trend that we already see in every soap?? Why not become a trendsetter urself so that others get inspired to follow u all??!! Just my 2 cents, rest its up to u all CV's! Will be here to witness the end product like always.
