Hi Jes,...i too made 2 similar posts trying to find the answers to these very same questions. After all the comments in both threads...i have come to realize that Maan is too close to this situation ...to personally involved....too emotionally tied to be partial, practical, and level-headed. If he was not so close to this....then he would have picked up on these queues much more quickly...as you said...Maan ki nazar se kuch nahi bachta. But here...his feelings for her and his hurt at being rejected are clouding his normally intuned skills.......and as such, he does not really LISTEN to what is coming out of Geet;s mouth...he hears it, but he doesn't listen to it!!! I hope that this is able to explain why he is acting and behaving the way he is....

Honestly.....I don't think Maan realizes or even thinks that something so heartbreaking must have happened to Geet.....he just assumes that she was in love with someone n her family didn't like it n so forth!! He knows shez young and treats her like that!!

As for reading her feelings.....its like yeah I know how she feels...but like any other mortal...he wants confirmation too to give his flaming heart the balm it so requires!! Don't forget, he has been badly burnt too....which is adding to his insecurities!!

May be Maan is tooo involved in his own grief and rejection he is scared to read anything btw lines since Geet vocally expressed her dislike.

well maan has seen love in geet's eye and he is confident about it but she confuses it with her answers and he has asked her so many times kyun bolo geet bolo well if she won't say then how will he know yaar i see many people questioning same question ab kisi ke dil main kya hai sab toh nahi jaan saktain haina akhoon se.abb maan knows she feels for her but in hp he will sure know about her past and hope it comes in good way and he will understand every confusing anwers she gave in delhi then it will be good.

all in all ,i would just like to say he has a soft corner for geet

I think, Maan, being the kind of person he is, has never been denied of anything before.....and when, he says, he likes Geet, he expects her to like him back and no other answer....But Geet rejecting him, and asking him to stay away from her, in itself, is a big shocker to maan, and so, he probably feels that, are her excuses to leave him....

Also, this isn't the first time Geet has been staring into maan's eyes, or seeing him, with pain in her eyes.....So, it is a kinda habit for him to see her that way, so i guess it makes no difference what she says...

also another thing is ... he does know she has issues thats why he blindly supports her no matter what ... if he really thought the reason given by her was khokla as he termed it.. he wouldnt have chosen to go with her to HP ...
