Well, it is easy to say that Geet should have told him the truth but I feel it is precisely because she knows him and loves him so deeply that she did not. She knows that he is a man who is righteous. She knows that he has always stood by her and supported her in her hour of need. So I'm sure she has not doubt in her mind that if she tells him the truth, he will do the honourable thing and offer to marry her. Now this would be a solution to all her problems but she also knows that in doing so, the man she loves will have to settle for something which is not perfect. A man who sort perfection in everything, including an innocuous thing like a file, will have to marry a woman who is 'damaged goods'. Now that is something she cannot tolerate. She wants her man to have the best in life. that is why she deliberately rejected his overtures. It tore her apart to see him in pain but she steeled herself so that she does not end up huring even more with the truth. I think that requires a lot of courage, to be able to put the interests of your beloved before yours. I simply love with girl and her courage.
