Opti,
I want the VM 😆.. Look at me demanding instead of appreciating ur efforts in writing this wonderful concept 😡😡...
I love ur out of box thinking.. I think Geet CVs have realized the importance of subtly weaving the social messages (look at the TRP soaring now ).... I loved Maan's HP diags which gave Geet her backbone back.. I am sure umpteen girls would have been influenced by those diags and got their self confidence up!
U have brought valid points about difficulties women employees face.. In the masti of the Maaneet moments, we should not forget to see the underlying concepts that they are trying so hard to fuse 😊... Work-home balance is a theoretical concept that is yet to become a reality ...
The serial has brought an uninterested in soaps personality to become an ardent fan just because of the concept.. A journey every woman undertakes - maybe not in such drastic terms- but dont all of us fight against some or the other pre-conceived notions the society has for us 🤢🤢...
God , my piece is mouldering 😳😳

Actually I hate cooking and fail miserably to learn that.... and I always wonder, why not keep ready to eat foods and snacks in kitchen...

It can considerably reduce the work😉😉😉

Actually, I completely get your point, there are many things that women are still deprived of while working. I personally know many girls that end up quitting jobs due to these very same reasons, and whose parents can't rest even for a moment when their daughters are out for work. It's really a tough job for 'em to keep up with their daughter's dreams and the wrong-eyed soceity, that just needs an excuse to speak.....

Here's the link to my VM thread. Check out the one titled 'The Ma(a)n behind Geet'.

Yes, it is good that they are weaving the messages subtly. Otherwise it will look like a documentary. Although there are a few issues I may have in some of the portrayals, by and large they have maintained the essence of the story, which is why I am prepared to overlook the trps-targetted scenes.

Yes, we all face a lot of stereotypes right through our lives. The scenes on insensitivity about how the female employees will get back home after working late and literally having to work late without food, I could well relate to.

I am like you, just hate cooking. Yes, ready to eat food is fine for a day or two but cannot be a regular feature, isn't it?

Beautifully said opti. I liked your thought pattern a lot. Its really an exceptional show full of messages. The beauty of the show geet is, if you give a deep thought you'll find lots of inner messages and even if you dont, you still end up having a great time. Applaud to the team.👏

Yes, there are a lot of messages. Thought I'll highlight the ones relating to working women. and as you said, it appeals to ones looking for a meaningful show and also the ones who are looking for pure entertainment. Striking that balance is difficult and good that the creatives have managed to do that. I also love the fact that they include a few comic scenes to lighten up the air from time to time.
