😆 I Just replied to this on facebook!

Geet has definetly showed her selflessness! After all she has been through.. having to leave her family for Dev & start a new life being a single mother.. & yet she doesn't judge men 👏
It just shows how strong our geet is! Maan should defo take some tips from her 😉

@ Sweet Coco, Yeah Maan will learn from her definitely what a mental stability is all about and that day is very soon.

@Sanaya:- Yeah I posts my take on every episode on FB. Thats applaudable of Geet that even though her condition is worst than Maan, still she believes in humanity and humans. Maan doesn't even know her conditions and am damn sure that when he'll come to know he'll adore her.

Here this one thing is bugging me since the epi today that there will some link between Sameera and Geet's status quo.

When Maan and Dadi confrontation happened, she said its not Maan's fault and Sameera's.

If am not wrong then I think Sameera did leave her child for a better life but here Maan will see Geet left her world, her home for her child.

Somewhere both the bases are linked. So that the comparison can be easier.

We just need to wait and watch who Sameera is. Maan's Mom or ex.

For a woman, her dignity, self respect, her abhushan, her izzat matters the most in her life.

I think this should be applicable for everyone no? self respect must matter to men also.
but yes Geet's take on life and people is definitely positive, commendable👏. Maan appears negative and bitter.

I do agree that the way Sameera has been presented, she can still be his mom or ex-girlfriend. I have always felt that maybe it is his mom and she did leave him. Earlier I thought it was suicide but it could well be her leaving him for another man and a better life. I too feel that the contrast between Geet and this woman will then be too stark as Geet has left everything for her baby. I have a feeling that by the time Maan finds the entire truth, Geet would have left him but I am sure the guy will hunt her down to the ends of the earth and win her over.

Coming back to the topic, yes, Geet is a strong woman but the two characters (Maan and Geet) are not strictly comparable. Here is why:

I think Maan may have led a sheltered life and may have been loved by one and all. In Indian families, boys are treated pretty royally. So when the woman close to him (a mother or a girlfriend) left him, he felt betrayed and disappointed and stretched it to all women. He failed to understand that one cant generalise from one individual. After all his dadi is a woman too. Maybe he thought all young women are untrustworthy.

Geet's life has been totally different. She was always made to feel women were inferior. Her grandfather and her brother never hesitated to put her down. She grew up expecting no better from men. So although Dev's betrayal hurt her, she has become sort of immune to the injustices meted out to her, being primed up for them all her life.

Ironically it is Maan who gave her the strength to fight back and go against her own family for what is right. If Geet is strong today, Maan had a large role to play in it, not to forget the fact that she is alive today because of him. That is why I did not enjoy the boisterous Geet they were showing for the past week, although it evoked some laughs. It showed Geet in poor light because she appeared pretty insensitive. Thankfully a few scenes were added in the last couple of episodes to show that deep down she does appreciate what Maan has done for her but personally I would rather see a sensitive and compassionate Geet rather than this boisterous and loud one. She needs to take this loud avatar only when she confronts Dev or Naintara as they are more deserving of it.

Definitely I agree Geet has a heart of gold & is a very simple, straight forward, uncomplicated character. For her to harness a bad feeling for Dev is in itself a big step so I can't see her hating the entire mankind. She was born & brought up in a village in a male dominated society where it was very normal to listen & abide by the rules laid by the men of the house. Not only that it was also ok to undergo physical abuse in the hands of men so it is not that odd to Geet. To her men r like that. Infact today the inner strength that she has got is all courtesy to Maan, he has instilled that in her, to fight for her life, to follow her own mind & pursue the goal of her life........safety of her baby! I actually can't see her behaving like hating men in general because that will not even occur to her because her upbringing never taught her that. She has been taught to follow the men of the house. But definitely its commendable & admirable to see the inner strength that she has achieved now to keep going on with her life after so much of hassles & hurdles, to blossom into what she is today from that timid shy girl of that village. I like the fact that her character is constantly growing in the show & that too due to Maan.
On the other hand Maan is a city bred man of today's world who has seen life to the full & seen very closely with all its complications & meanness. Moreover other than his dadi he didn't have any woman in his life so that softness was missing from his personality & finally when he thought he has someone of the opposite sex to offer his heart to he got betrayed & cheated & that completely shattered him made him close his heart & go into a shell. So today we see the angry young man who is rough, tough & ruthless. He is a product of this modern society & with him we don't see any guiding force like Geet has in Maan. So he is completely a self made man, what we see is what we get! We don't see any growth in his character except for the fact that involuntarily he has fallen for Geet. So to change his viewpoint on women it will take a lot of time & convincing because he is stubborn & egoistic & is accustomed to be looked upto & heard & listened to rather than the other way round. With him what he says goes, compromise is not a word in his vocabulary. He is very habituated with women falling for him, mind u women of Sasha & Sameera's calibre. So for him respect or love for women will take a lot of time because he always equates them with Sameera.
I really commend the CV's to come up with such beautiful characters with such distinct & different characteristics which becomes so clear to understand & comprehend. I simply hope they continue to keep them in their characters & don't make them juvenile or too hyper like we saw Monday & Tuesday. So far I can relate to them so well & can understand why they r doing what they r doing including the manhandling of Maan(I am not saying its ok but simply that I can understand where he is coming from) & Geet's reasoning today about her own actions & it is because of the beautiful characterisation the creatives have come up with. I also applaud the storyline, script & direction. Keep up the good work CV's.
Lana.
