Tangled Tango
Geet moved back in a shock. She was about to take his finger in her mouth and suck on the sweet and sour taste of the juice and Maan. She had felt her inside squeeze when she had touched his finger. She quickly ran out of the room and into the office.
Maan followed her unhurriedly and found her near the window. He had brought the bowl of grapes with him, eating one by one. He was in a happy mood to see that Geet had started reacting to him. But needed to tread carefully. He did not want her running away.
He went up to his desk and started working on some paper when she came up and tried to take a file from the table. He held he wrist and got up. Kya karogi is file ka? He asked. Uh! Woh mein kaam kar leti hoon, she said. Nahi, pehle woh upar se mere kamre mein se file hai Chopra waali accounts ki who lekar aao. Geet was not happy with the order but did as she was told. She needed to keep this job.
She then came down to the office with the said file to find him standing near the window with the sheer curtains blowing around him blocking her view of him. She tried to get his attention by slamming the file on the table but he seemed in some deep contemplation. Going up to him, trying to push the curtains aside but getting tangled in them and trapping both of them, she said, Sir who mein file le aayee..
He said, Maan, whispering to her. Obliquely not understanding what he was saying she said Sir, Maan to aap hai par file wahan hai. he then held her hand as she was trying to turn away. She halted and looked into his eyes and said, Sir choriye. He said, Pehle Maan kaho. Maan hai mera naam. Kaho Maan. Pehle to tum kehti thi looking into her eyes with a sultry look in his as if he was in a trance. She tried to twist which got them more tangled in the curtains and she said, Sir, pls you are hurting me, choriye! Meine kaha na pehle Maan kaho again in a low sexy baritone. Geet was getting agitated and said, Kya zid hai? Pehle choriye phir kahoongi, Sir!
Maan pulled her closer, twisting her arm around her back and she lifted on her feet to ease the twist and he pulled her closer still. He growled, Maan Singh Khurna ko kuch chahiye to chahiye. Pehle Maan bulao mujhe phir mein chorunga.
She barked back Nahi kahoongi to kya karoge? He brought his head closer to her, near her lips. Inch by slow inch and said, Geet tum mujhe challenge mat karo, pacchtaogi. Geet kept moving back every inch Maan came forward. She, maan and curtain were in a tangled mess and suddenly she tried to pull back with one mighty shove and the pull on the curtain gave the rod away and she fell backwards losing her footing and took Maan with her and the curtain along with them. At the very last moment, maan turned and switched places, hold Geet close to him and took the fall and broke Geet's and took her on him.
His head banged on the floor with a thud and he screamed Ow! And Geet's breath knocked in her lungs as she felt herself hit a wall named Maan who was infinitely better than the floor. Sher breath came out in a hoooff and she collapsed on him and asked in a strangled voice when she realized, maan was not moving.
She said, Maan, Maan! Uthiye..aap theek to hain? She was still on him but started to pat him on his cheeks to wake him and willing him to open his eyes.
Slowly Maan opened one eye, smiled at her and said, kaha tha na, Tum Maan bulaogi! And then opened the other eye and smiled at her. Maan Singh Khurana jo chahe woh paa kar dum leta hai. Par lagta hai aaj to dum niklne waala..hai..
Geet frowns, and he replies, Tumne meri saans jo atka di hai, Utho mujh par se, ya yahin ghar karne ka iradaa hai?
Geet flustered got up in a hurry but fell again as the curtains were all around them. Maan said, Rukko, ek minute, Mein karta hoon and got busy trying to get them free…
