Many of us who have watched the recent Ramayan have grown up watching the older version, most of us must have been kids and Arun Govil who played Lord Ram was thought to have born to play the role of his lifetime. Hence to play and convince audience as Lord Ram must have been a challenging role for Gurmeet and I strongly think that he has been successful in his effort. However he became such a charm among girls only after Geet since all said and done the role Lord Ram he played associated divinity with him more than craze. To put it simpler, I liked Gurmeet after Ramayan but love and admire him in Geet.

Right you are, the Ramayan series by Ramanand Sagar is embedded into all of our minds that at first, it was hard to watch a new face in the role of Lord Ram.😳 There were so many comparisons and arguments between people taking the sides of Gurmeet and Arun Govil, and at first, I was always a die-hard supoorter of Arun Govil and could not accept Gurmeet in the role. Then one day, I wondered why we were doing all the comparisons - what was the point? Both Arunji and Guru played Ramji in different ways, and once I assessed both Ramayans as two completely DIFFERENT shows, I began to appreciate Guru as Ramji, and soon liked him a lot in the role because I realized that he was a really good actor. Like I posted above, Arun Govil in the role of Lord Ram will always hold a premium place for me as per favorites, but after him, no one else has done as great of a job at that role than Guru.😊 In Geet, he is good, but his character is kind of mild and a bit boring sometimes, at least for me, that I find his role as Ramji much more exciting and heart-touching.

Guru and Debi def did a great job as Ram and Sita, I liked their onscreen chemistry better than Guru and Drashti's to be honest.😳 Even though Ramayan had no intimate scenes between them due to the sacredness and chastity of the story, their chemistry seemed sweeter and more full than Maneet's, just my opinion.

Guru was awesome as Ramji! He brought Ramji alive for all of us. It was like watching the real Ramji come to life. What an awesome actor he is! To act as Divinity so perfectly and then to act as a regular
guy so perfectly...Guru is awesome!!!!

He is one of the most talented actors of today. Go Guru! 👏

i didnt even know that gurmeet also played ram since he looks soooo different now. and its kinda weird because now when im watching the ramayan sometimes (the tamil version is still airing so i watch it sometimes) im thinking about how hot the guy who plays ram is instead of paying attention to the story lol 😆 and i loved him in pati patni aur woh 😃

Never saw Ramayan...only the promos on NDTV Imagine inb etween watching other serials.

He never appealed to me as Ram...actually his expressions were very annoying....he was trying to look saintly but ended up looking rather constipated.....I used to think, "Yeh kya namuna hai.." especially when he sustained the same look during award shows as well!.....

But, boy oh boy!! Did everything change since GEET!! Now, I can't take my eyes off him....since his illness, I've realised one thing....I'm not watching Geet for Dhrasti or anyone else....it's .only for Gurmeet...that's saying a lot for a male actor in a wholly female-dominated telly serial scenario!
