Is Geet Really Married To Dev?

After my topic on whether Geet ever loved Dev, I was thinking if they are actually married.

According to the law, Dev and Geet are not married as Naintara is his first wife. Dev would be viewed as a culprit in the eyes of the law.

This wedding would not be accepted in the eyes of Islam, because it was done on the basis of lies and cheating. However, Geet and Dev's wedding was a Hindu one, and since I am a muslim I don't know if it would be accepted from a Hindu POV.

So can ya'll help me out, and tell me whether Geet and Dev are actually married.

1st there was a fake priest to conduct the wedding-> so fake wedding

2nd Hindu law recognizes the first marriage-> Dev is going to be jailed for fraud, bigamy, and playing with the honor of an Indian girl. And his family will be jailed as well as they were consipirators in this.

So from neither religious nore legal point of view Geet is considered married.

i am wondering the same, besides....if I remember....the pandit was also fake, so does the wedding count then???

but did the pandit conduct a fake wedding? like he didn't do the rituals properly?

wen the pundit himself was a fake I dnt see how the marriage was solemnized....since Dev is already married anyway the law doesn't recognize his second marriage and he's guilty of bigamy

Yup only the first is the legal marriage.

If someone does marry a second time with the first wife living (I mean with proper rituals and all, like for example Dharmendra-Hema Malini), then if the first wife takes the hubby to court, the husband will be behind bars as he has committed bigamy which is against the Hindu Marriage Act.

So yes, the law recognizes the first marriage as the legal marriage, and only the first wife is considered the official wife in the eyes of law and society.

Legally though, I thought that if the first wife approves and gives consent for the marriage, then it isn't considered as against the law? Is that not true? I don't know..I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.
Like everyone said,the pundit was fake..so the wedding wouldn't count anyways. :P

The marriage is full on fake.. everything was planned.. the preist was even ffake.. the only reality behind all this is that Geet is pregnant with Devs child.

You're going to have ask a lawyer on that, because I'm pretty sure that the law prohibits.
