Hey Pallo,

Yesterday when I read your Request, I sympathized with you.

But, little did I know, that soon, you will have to feel that for me. My internet is just not working from yesterday. I tried, all the ways, but the terrible thing is not working....

I don't know, when I would update next, but I think you can possibly explain the connection....Why me, after you????😭

Hi gals I had updated part 20 earlier in terrible haste. The part was extremely short and had no substance what so ever in it. I wanted to give you some update on friendship day and so the hurry. I am sorry about earlier. I am editing the part again and making it more PALLOish this time. Do read and comment. I didn't send you all pms earlier kyunki that fellow was breathing down my neck and giving me exasperated stares. Idiot kahin ka! Neways enjoy this part. I have taken major chunks of this part from my other FF on DMG forum and tailored it according to the situation here.

Keep praying my PC hasn't recovered and I am feeling like on board of TITANIC! No JACK but :( ;)

PART 20
All the color drained out of Maan's face as he saw the pink color against his skin. If Geet had been born second world war
time she could have easily got Hitler to suicide. She was so innovative. Those cartooned flowers on the fabric were harassing
his mental state even more.

Maan didn't have a choice....his clothes were drenched and he had to wear that horrendous kurta. He struggled to gather his
equanimity before opening the door.

Geet was already there in a divine blue chudidaar. He face was fresh and their was pure delight masking her features.

"What is this?" he growled into her ears from behind causing her to jump.

She wheeled around and broke into an irritating giggle that added to Maan's rising fury.

"Your powers of deduction astound me, Mogambo! Those are clothes...." she infuriatingly laughed.

His eyes were ablaze with hostility. He decided to stay tight lipped. Everything that he said and did went against him. He was fed up of being the clown.

Geet admired him secretly...That pink was enough to make any man look like a clown...But surprisingly this colour contrasted so
sharply with his masculinity that Geet found it harder to stop being aware of him.

"Mujhe toh bahut bhook lagi hain....Chalo wahaan pe ek dhaaba hain."

She pointed cheerily to the dhaaba that stood at a small walk's distance. Maan had sheilded himself with an icy demeanour. He made a face at Geet and raised his hand carelessly to signal that she lead the way.

Geet frowned. She seriously didn't like this. Maybe things had gone overboard but this chilly disposition of Maan was getting under her skin.

"Maan...Look I am sorry about this pink overdose. I have absolutely no other clothes to give you at the moment. Let us reach the Army Base I am sure someone will lend you a pair till we buy you some decent clothes. And you should thank your stars i had this with me...it was XL size and is fitting you. All my other clothes are fitted according to my frame....."

"You mean these are your clothes..." He looked at her in horror.

She merely nodded. Maan clenched his jaw..... the idea that her weird brother wore such crazy clothes had been the only comforting thought but now even that was snatched away from him.

So the synopsis of the situation was- He was in a female's XL sized dress, pink coloured with flowers.

They both began walking towards the dhaaba in an unbreakable silence. Geet's heart was churning with guilt that she had put him through such a lot of unwanted embarrassment when he had come to help her in the first place. Maan's mind was raging with humiliation and anger. This girl was the limit. He could not barge into the Amry Base in Pink. He had lived in Ambala for a span of six months taking training from the reputed Air Force unit here. People ...dignitaries would recognize him. It would be the worst nightmare....GROUP CAPTAIN MAAN SINGH KHURANA greeting his acquaintances, colleagues and superiors in a pink calamity.

"Aa gaye..." Geet intruded his thoughts.

Maan glared at her. She looked sorry.

But he was in no mood to succumb to the apology in her never-to-be forgotten black eyes.

The dhaaba was a very pretty place and was surrounded by lush greenery. The thatch had a different warmth in here...even the furniture..mere wood felt exrta ordinary...something special. The very atmosphere here was charged with a fervor ...something that the Geet had seen in the movies.
The place was homely and friendliness was dispersed in the air...cute couples sat there sharing a glass of lassi...feeding each other...snuggled together under a shawl taking warmth 4m each other against the chill...
A fast track punjabi beat song was playing...and people were tapping their feet and shaking their shoulders slightly accompanying the beat and tempo...

"Aare...aaye jee...aaye!" a pleasant looking Sardar came forward and swept them both into the Dhaaba.

"Toh kya lenge aap??? Aur aapki yeh soni biwi kya legi?" the man continued while steering them to the bench...

Maan stopped in his tracks. "BIWI!!!" He was surely not the one destined to tame this uncontrollable tornado. He couldn't understand how his father had imagined that they made a pair.

Geet looked at him.."Woh...main inki biwi nahin hoon jee..." she softly told him. Her voice was shaky with suppressed tears but Maan remained unmoved.

"Ki fark painda jee..jald toh ho jaogi..."

"Lagta toh nahi hain..."Geet murmured more to herself than to the voluble Sardar. Maan however caught the words...her words rang with a hurt so deep that he wished to pull her into his arms and hug away her cares.

"Hum sirf dost hain..." she smiled with a conscious effort at the Sardar.

Maan realized that he was being too hard on her. She had just tried to get even with him for teasing her about going pink at his touch.

"Oye Sardarjee....aap apne sabse meethi lassi layiye....." He looked at Geet giving her a sudden smile. Geet blinked hard...from ICE KNIGHT he was her Maan again. What caused the change?

"Aap sirf lassi lenge?" the Sardar asked.

"Haan lassi kafi hain....itna saara PINK digest karna hain. Kuch aur nahi kha sakta..."

"Aur kudiye?"

"Inke liye jo bhi laa rahe ho mere liye bhi wohi lao."

"Abi lata hoon jee...." with that he left them.

"Geet you don't need to look as if I forced you to drink a toilet cleaning solution. Forget that we fought. I have followed you all the way to Ambala to take care of you...not jump at your throat with a knife. So friends again?"

Geet let out an audible sigh of relief and grabbed his hand in a shake.

"Waise you look cute in pink...." she smirked.

"Yah and I would look even better with blush on my cheeks and pink lip gloss right?" he scoffed.

"I shapat! You are the only man I have seen who manages to look dashing and irresistible even in Pink!!!" she blurted out.

As soon as the words left her mouth she went the darkest shade of the colour in discussion. Maan grinned.

"You think I am irresistible?" he drawled.

"Lies are sweet!" she retorted. Maan couldn't help smiling. Geet played aimlessly with her fingers and sealed her lips. Too much had been said already.

The Sardar appeared before them holding a big tumbler of chilled lassi. But only one tumbler...

"Jee...aap sirf ek kyun laye hain?" Maan asked him.

"Putarjee yahaan pe sab ek hi glass se peetein hain ....sharmao mat jee.....peelo peelo..." he marched off before Maan could say anything. Geet grinned sheepishly at Maan "Tum peelo. Waise bhi yeh meri taraf se apology treat hain" she politely said.

He shot her one last look asking if she was sure she would share the glass with him...She frowned at him.

"Koi zaroorat nahi hain.Tum peelo...Main theek hoon."

He gulped down half the contents of the glass. He then slowly put the glass to her lips. Geet looked at him surprised.

"I assure you it hasn't been poisoned"

Geet smiled and drank the remaining lassi touched to the core by Maan's gesture.

She looked at him and began howling with laughter. "Tumhare mucche lag gaye hain....." She pointed to the lassi mustache Maan had developed. Maan falteringly wiped it off on his sleeve.

Her crystal clear laughter was striking chords in his heart and the picture of her...laughing happily without any restraint was alleviating. He smiled...and bent closer to her. One of her fringes was troubling her eye while she was continued to laugh in pure mirth. His fingers trembled and she stilled. He found the unruly fringe and softly pushed it off her face....her eyes were pools of suspended rapture.

He gently drew back and stood up. His action icily cutting the tension of the moment. Geet stood up too....her face was flushed and her eyes sought the comfort of the ground.

"Hame chalna chahiye...." he quietly told her. He was puzzled at his own behaviour. He had intended to push off her hair in a friendly way. The moment had coagulated on another note.

They paid the Sardar and exited the dhaaba.

"Geet let's take a taxi. Yahaan se Army Base kaafi door hain"

Geet agreed and called a passing cab.

They got into the cab.

"Ambala Cantt. chalo"

🤗🤗🤗Happy Friendships Day to you too.......... and thank you for the update, it was the perfect gift😆 loved Maan's reaction and felt really bad for Geet and how just the mere thought of Maan loving someone else hurt her so much... you were great as usual... Can't wait to read more..
