Hmm....nice theory! That never occurred to me, but it might be very much possible.

Maybe when Naintara and Maan meet accidentally in Amritsar, they receive the shock of a lifetime seeing each other?

I don't think it is Naintara he was in love with but she may have something to do with breakup and maybe something to do with having a stepmom maybe his mother is alive betrayed father and then maybe he just does not trust women because of this.

More than one woman has hurt him.
