Am I the only one who feels this?

The reviews for Fanaa are full of praise of Zain and Reem saying that Reem is highly talented and it's a treat to watch Reem as Pakhi. But I don't know when I see Pakhi O don't get connected to her as a real character. Like I know the entire time it's Reem and she's clearly acting. Even Zain, when I compare her to Jennifer Winget or Karanveer Bohra in Saubhagyavati Bhava. I don't get that unsettling feeling from him neither do I sympathize with him.

As for Reem, it seems like writers think her only role in the show is to look pretty. She's at best average in the show and there's nothing to suggest it would make any difference if she's replaced by another actress as Pakhi. Tbh, I don't get the acclaim she's getting for Paakhi.

Now coming to the only one who makes this show bearable, Ayaz Ahmed...As an actor, I feel it's Ayaz who's doing the best job amongst the cast. Like the guy is insanely good. Despite being a minor supporting character, he stole the show with style. I hope he gets a main lead role after this that justifies his acting chops.

Paakhi is an annoying character.

Zain is doing good so far as Agastya. His character is quite complex. He is a good guy but becomes a monster in love. His psycho act is a treat to watch.

Ayaz is doing a wonderful job. The way he shows that he hates his job but is forced to do it, it's brilliantly portrayed. He deserves a better supporting role. I hope soon we can see him revolting against Agastya. It will be nice to see two good actors against each other.

Zain is doing quite good as Agastya....it's a quite complex character....he is not a out and out psycho or black character....Pakhi is his trigger he only goes crazy when it comes to her....otherwise he is quite normal with others....so it's not likely to compare him with Viraj who was a total negative character is what I feel.

Pakhi is very annoying and immature.

Ayaz is fab I hope they increase his screen space.

Zain is good but I feel sometimes his madness doesn't show on screen. I remember while watching the shows Saubhagyavati Bhava and Beyhadh, I had to take breaks in between watching the show because KB and Jennifer's portrayal felt so unsettling and you could feel it in the bones. Zain was great as a gray shaded character in Tashan E Ishq but in this I'm not intrigued by his character. It maybe because the actions of all three characters are so predictable, and maybe also because the CVs are playing it safe as they don't want people to hate Agastya.

I was thinking from the perspective of acting because Viraj and Maya, despite them being negative characters, there were some points where audience could connect with them and feel sorry for them.

About Paakhi, the character is insufferable- yes, simultaneously I feel that Reem's face doesn't have the innocence to play naive Pakhi. Reem has more of a street smart, savvy aura about her and that's why she's not looking natural as dreamy Pakhi.

Pakhi ,uski boring si family aur Agastya ki dadi ka character chodke mujhe sablog pasand hai.

Ishaan, uski choti si family, Agastya,Yug,Tanya.... Yeh sab mere favourite list mein hai😊.

Mujhe toh Tanya k liye Yug chahiye but woh banda toh Agastya k tarah Grey se thoda jyada aur black se kam wala character hai. I hope woh murderer na ho🤢,abhi bhi thodi si umeed bachi hai ki mein usko Tanya k opposite dekhu. Ayaz ka on-screen character v kaafi intersting hai, uski v apni separate story honi chahiye along with leads.

I too love Yuganya and Ishaan's family. Frankly I also like Ishan's character a teeny tiny bit as at least he uses his brain sometimes and until now, he seems like a seedha saada sorted guy (which of course won't be true as this is a Gul's show). I would have loved if they let Agasthya really go full dark in his obsession.

Ayaz is the strongest actor among the cast and he's the one who's played the most diverse characters be it from a closeted gay in KYY or a good hearted mawaali in Do Dil Ek Jaan. But sadly he won't be given much space as the makers want to make the love story look the greatest.

Yug pushed that guy who had bad intention so he is a murderer. 😕

Bold-That's what I'm saying they don't want us to get creeped out by Agastya.... they are not making him completely negative...I feel it's more about characterization than acting for Agastya not looking totally creepy or negative.Plus his total backstory has not been revealed we know nothing about him being this way apart from the fact he was in hospital and faced a traumatic incident...that was done very well the bathtub scene ....baaki we can differ in our opinions as well😆

About Reem yes she is a miscast is what I feel as well

PS- I'm loving Agastya😆

I am quite liking Agastya. It gets hard to know if he is a good guy or a bad guy. I wonder what would have happened if there wasn't any Paakhi. Would he have stayed positive or he wouldn't have any reason to be positive at all ? He almost killed that kid but he also wants to create machines to save her. Unfortunately his psychopana for a character like Paakhi doesn't make it interesting.
