Chapter One
Journal Entry
February 14th 2008
It's been two years since my divorce, and although, I'm happy that I'm free from that dirt-bag-scoundrel, I still feel lonely. But, seriously Kanya, doesn't need a man to survive. I have three best friends and they are my family. But, I wish I could be loved again, I wish I could be in someone's arms and be safe from this world. But, noway! Kanya Nanda, opps! I mean KANYA KAPOOR will not make the mistake of the getting the "disease" love. But, how do I get away from it when I'm in a career helping people express their love?! Err.!! Why ?? I have just read books, it's not like when I was married I ever had a physical relationship with Aayan. Wat did I see in that jerk face! And....
Woman: Dr. Kapoor!
Kanya Kapoor jolts up when her intercom comes on. She presses the button and speaks.
K: Naina, what's with the formalities? We've known each other since we were in diapers.
N: Kanya, there's a couple here. You might not want to say ....
K is a little embarrassed: I told you to use the headphones... It is Mr. and Mrs. Nanda right? (Kanya thinking, I hate that last name) Send them in.
Mr. and Mrs. Ranbir Nanda walk in. Kanya looks up and sees a well-built man, long black hair, hazel brown eyes, with a nice dark black armani suit on.
K: Have a seat Mr. and Mrs.Nanda.. (she looks up and finally sees Mrs. Nanda's face) Juoty?!
Kanya and Naina both give each other a friendly hug and stay in each other's arms for a full two minutes.
R: Ahem! I'm missing something.
J: Ranbir, this is Kanya N-nand... I mean Kanya Kapoor my best friend who I have not seen in ages. Ok, now I feel uncomfortable coming here.
K: It' ok Juoty, you know my professional life will never interfere with our friendship, but happy to know that your married! But, now a little upset because you are here. And I will be glad to help. Ok then, Well, you guys have come here because you have been married for three years and still have not consummated your marriage. And ... (she looks through their file) Wait, your mother sent you here, Juoty?
JN smilingly: Mom and I discussed that Ranbir and I should start our family.... and
K annoyed: But, why Mom, you two are the couple you should be the ones deciding. Anyways have a seat first.
Both Ranbir and Juoty sit down
K: So, what's up you guys? Is your marriage love or .......
Juoty looks down upset and then looks toward Ranbir in disgust: It was never love, it was just..... I don't even know.
Ranbir looks at her with a gulity face yet not as upset as Juoty
K smiles: As a s*x therapist and a couples therapist, I not only help couple with their physical relationship, but their emotional relationship as well. Now I understand that your mother sent you here. But, your the married couple. We don't need a third wheel here. I will be asking some questions, first separately then both of you together. First Mr. Nanda. Juoty you may wait in the waiting room, I will call you when we are done.
Juoty annoyed: I don't trust Ranbir with any woman...... and
Ranbir frustrated: Trust!! D*mn IT!! Juoty you never TRUST ME!!!
J: How can I trust you, you are always ....... Errr!! But, I trust Kanya with my heart and soul.
Dr. K smiles: Well, you can trust me Juoty, this is apart of my job, and if he attempts anything, well, just to let you know I'm a black belt in karate and Taekwondo. (she gives a reassuring smile)
J: Fine, I will leave. (Juoty leaves as her bangles chime when she is walking out)
K: Ok, Ranbir... I'm going to be asking you several questions here. First when did you meet Juoty.
R gives a flirter smile than before: Hmmm.. First of all how did I not meet you before Juoty. (he winks)
K: Ranbir, why did you marry Juoty, if you are into every woman you see?
R annoyed: I just wanted my mom to cut the cr*p about marriage. And Juoty is one of my best friend. But, she loves me and I don't love her. I mean.... I hate myself for putting Juoty in this position. She knew before we got married that it was a compromise and she was fine. But, then she fell in love with my family and me. But, I don't have the same feelings for her.......
K: This sounds like a balaji soap. I really don't know what to do? I mean have you talked to Juoty about this?
R: Kanya to tell you the truth, I really don't know what Juoty wants. She was a good friend, but now I feel like we are the worst enemies. And I just don't understand. So, that's why I flirt with women..... I just don't believe I'm in a marriage. In fact, Juoty and I just went to court, we never did the saat pheres or anything. She never wanted too (looks upset)
Dr. K who is writing this all down looks up with a smile: Ranbir you believe in saat pheres?
R smiles: I might be a modern guy, but I do believe in those promises one makes with their loved one.
Kanya goes into FLASHBACK...
Ayan: Kanya ewww... I don't want too go into all that bullcr*p! Let's just go to court.... and get it all done and then.... (he grabs Kanya from the back) Honeymoon time!!! I'm only excited about that!!
K: But, Ayan, we only get married once, I want to make all the promises with you and go around the holy fire.....
Ayan angry grabs Kanya: Do you not trust me?! Then why do we have to make all these d*mn promises!??
K: You are hurting me! Ouch! Fine we can go on the honeymoon!
Ayan satisfied: Good! get packing! and please don't wear those down market saris! Ew!
End of Flashback
Kanya tears up a little.
R: Hello Ms. Kanya where are you of too lalala land?! (he laughs)
K: It's nice that you think, about those things. Ranbir, please lemme look through your file, and I will meet you both tommorow.
R: You don't wanna meet Juoty today.....
K: I'm not feeling well.... Not right now.. I'm sorry I just want to review your case, can we meet Tuesday 1:00pm.
R: Sure, you sure you fine Kanya? (Ranbir gets up but with a little concerned face)
K: Yeah, I'm just going to gather up my own personal experiences to help you both out. (Kanya fake smiles)
Ranbir leaves and Kanya bursts out crying trying to relieve all the pain she has in heart😭😭.... if only Aayan respected my wishes like Ranbir would........ How can I help Juoty and Ranbir?
Ok I know this first update is a little dull! But, watch soon as you see a little romance, mischief (yea u heard it)😉, comedy and suspense......
And if I don't get at least some nice, critical comments, I shall not be updating.. And don't worry I will update Tudwa Pyar soon!
