EPISODE 31: THE CHALLENGE
Nayanika was sweating outside capt Ranveer's room. She hesitated and then knocked on his door. She saw Pooja's room mate Nisha standing in his room,with an evil smile.
Ranveer: Okay cadet Nisha Agarwal, you may go now, yes cadet Nayanika come in
Nayanika shot a killing glance at Nisha, 'I'll see you later,' she thought to herself.
Capt Ranveer cast a piercing look at Nayanika: so
Nayanika felt her voice drying
Ranveer: cadet Pooja was sick last night?
Nayanika: yes'yes Sir
Ranveer: and still she managed to go out her room to attend a midnight party
Nayanika couldn't answer, she fixed her glance to the floor
Ranveer: do you realize the gravity of the situation cadet? You broke rules, you lied and perhaps you are the ones who broke into the library
Nayanika: Sir it's true we had a midnight party last night but we never went near the library
Ranveer: and why should I believe you after all the lies you told me? It's a fact you were out last night, I saw you
Nayanika felt her anger rising: bahar toh aap bhi the kal raat, suspect toh aap bhi ho sakte hai
Ranveer: cadet, mind your temper
Nayanika: I am sorry Sir but you can't blame us for what we haven't done.
Ranveer looked at this stubborn girl and smiled to himself. Her eyes shone with confidence and hurt pride, and she was a burning example of a resolute soldier'.he couldn't help admiring her spirit'..😳😳😉
Nayanika noticed Cpt Ranveer was looking at her with with admiration in his eyes, somehow she felt her anger going down and felt a little shy'.😳
Cpt Ranveer: hmmm'.okay cadet I believe you, but off to your room now. You'll stay there for 3 days and go out only for classes, that's your punishment.
Nayanika heaved a breath of relief, they were indeed let off easily: okay sir
Another part of the academy:
The actors were in a celebrating mood. Malhotra had come and apologized to all and the crisis was solved'Ghazal came and hugged Priyanka first: thank you friend, thank you so much
Pri: array isme thank you mat bol, us bas***d ko toh sabak sikhana hi tha, he thinks he can take all heroines to bed?
They all congratulated each other'it was a strange sense of unity they felt'and felt secure with each other
Arjun: we must celebrate our victory over that idiot, isn't it?
Harshad: sureee, lets partyyyy
Priyanka: wait wait, we can't party today, someone has to show that the actors are better than the military men, remember the challenge
Rajeev: oh yeah, lets all to the common room, it's our turn to rock guys
All: yeaaah lets show them
Vikas was going to the guesthouse instead, Kunal asked him: you are not coming, Vikas?
Vikas: no you guys go ahead
Priyanka noticed him. He had been exceptionally quiet after they had come back from the jungle trip, Priyanka realized the pain he was in and somehow felt guilty'.though they were never in a relationship she knew they were more than just friends'.and then things happened so suddenly''..she decided to talk to him
Pri: tumlog jao, main thodi der mein aati hoon
Arjun: kyaaaa? Ab tujhe kya kaam hai? Rajeev ji ka challenge hai tu nehi chalegi matlab?
Pri: array of course main ayoongi, bas kuchh der baad, tumlog jao, abhi time bahut time baaki hai
She looked at Rajeev and signaled him that she's going to talk to Vikas, Rajeev nodded his head in consent and said: ok guys, lets proceed, Pri join us fast
As he walked away with the group, Rajeev felt a slight bite of jealousy again: come one what am I thinking, I trust Priyanka and I know how much she loves me , he though to himself ashamed of his jealousy'.
Priyanka went and knocked on Vikas's door, he was surprised to see her
P: can I come in
Vikas: yes
She stepped inside and closed the door.
P: Vikas I want to talk to you
V: about what?
P: about us, about what has happened to our relationship
Vikas looked at Pri with hurt eyes: and who's responsible for it?
P: Vikas, can't we be friends like before?? What is this? If you care about me so much why aren't you participating in my joy? Why can't I have a friend if I have a lover? Does having a boyfriend means I lose my best friend?
Priyanka had tears in her eyes'indeed she missed Vikas a lot, as a friend and a friend's place is always special, there can be no substitute to it
P: Vikas please, please stop this and be normal again, it hurts to see you in pain, please apna gussa chhodo'she went and held his hand
Vikas felt his eyes welling up too'indeed he loved pri a lot, and now he felt he had been selfish'.he really couldn't afford to lose her friendship'.
He came forward and hugged her tight
The common room was teaming with people, mostly the cadets of the academy. They were all excited, it was amazing how in such a short time they had gathered whistles, made posters which said 'GO ranveer sir go' 'east or west military is the best' and they were shouting for their favorite teacher.
Arjun: array in logo ko dekh, hume bhi Rajeev ji ke support ke liye kuchh posters banana tha nehi?
Kunal: haan lekin ab kya kare, chalo we'll shout
Harshad: mujhe dar lag raha hai yaar, kya karenge Rajeev ji?
Ghazal: array I am sure he has a plan
The cadets came over to them.
Pooja: so ready for the challenge? Dekhna hamare sir kaise chhutti karte hain tumhare onscreen hero ka
Ghazal: hello competition abhi shuru bhi nehi hua hai
Iqbal: apun military log sab kuchh kar sakta hai, par tera chikna military wala kaam kar sakega kya? He chuckled
Arjun: woh toh waqt hi batayega, wait and watch
Pooja: waise aaplogo ka Naina aur Huda kahan hai?
Kunal: array haan kafi der ho chuki, abhi tak nehi ayi Priyanka
Iqbal to Pooja: aur hamare Nayanika kahan hai?
Pooja: who saza kaat rahi hai, capt Ranveer ke orders hai ki who room se na nikle
Harshad: really? So she's going to miss the show, that's bad
Rajeev's eyes looked for Priyanka'.she hadn't come yet'''she's taking too much time, the competition is about to start'.but how can he without Pri'.
Capt Ranveer came forward and shook his hands: so are we ready?
Rajeev: ummm'..just a few more minutes
Capt Ranveer smiled: waiting for someone special?
Rajeev: ummm'.actually yes, my love, I need her support 😳'what about you? Do you have a special one in the crowd cheering for you?
Ranveer: no'not really😕
Rajeev: by the way we need a judge
Ranveer: right, he turns to the crowd, who can be our judge?
All hands shot up in a loud clamor, Iqbal didn't even wait for anyone and stepped right in the middle of the two Veers: apun banega judge
There was a collective gasp of discontent but as Iqbal turned to the crowd angrily, all became silence: they were pretty scared of him.😆😆
Only Arjun stood up amidst the crowd: oye hello, you can't be the judge, we need a neutral person
Iqbal: apun sahi judging karega
Arjun: no no we don't trust you, there should be someone from our camp too
Ranveer: okay guys stop fighting, both of you can be judges. Now you guys decide what are we supposed to do in the challenge, okay?
Vikas held Priyanka tight, quietly sobbing on her shoulders, Priyanka felt bad for him but felt equally uncomfortable being in the arms of another man other than her Rajeev😉😳'she disentangled herself: Vikas, I need to go.
Vikas: noooo
Pri: no Vikas, Rajeev is waiting for me, I need to go, tum bhi ayo na
Vikas: you love him too much, hai na
Pri: yes I do
Udhar the crowd was getting restless,
Ranveer: friend, shall we start, ur special one is keeping us waiting for too long
Rajeev cast a final glance in the crowd'.no sign of Priyanka'he left out a sigh: all right we'll start
Iqbal and Arjun decided amongst themselves, each one had to do four tasks, two from each camp and while Iqbal gets to decide what Rajeev has to do, Arjun will decide for Ranveer. Excitement was building fast, though Rajeev hardly had any supporters his co actors shouted so loudly that they seemes like they were a team of 100!
Iqbal: okay first task, dono ko gun chalana padega nishane pe
Arjun: yeh kya task hai, kuchh aur bolo, gun kaise chalayenge yeh?
Iqbal: woh hum kya jaane, military yehi sabse pehle sikhta hai, nishana lagana
Rajeev: relax Arjun, remember our last training(he winked at him)
A smile came on Arjun's face. Indeed when they were shooting for the serial last time the action choreographer Sher Khan made sure Rajeev learnt how to handle a gun and shoot it. They had practiced for 3 whole days till Rajeev got the grasp. Deeya and Tony Singh had failed to convince Sher Khan that Rajeev just needed to hold the gun, not learn how to aim it!!
Okay ready!!!! Go
They had sneaked out two guns, closed the common room door, put silencers on the guns and drawn the target on the cardboard screen that was lying in the common room.
BOOM! Bang on target, Ranveer is a sharp shooter!
Your turn Mr.Khandelwal, Ranveer yielded the gun to Rajeev with a smile.
Though Rajeev knew how to shoot a gun, he felt a little nervous, the gun was loaded, there was no sign of Pri still and he felt distracted.
Ranveer: come on, gun mein asli goli nehi hai, daro mat
Rajeev pulled up the gun, looked at the target and shot
BOOM!! It was off focus, way outside the central point but was at least in the target that was drawn
Celebrations followed from the cadets present there, shouting out Ranveer's name!
Iqbal: oye hoye, dekha tera chikna target se kitna dur tha
Arjun: shut up! He was in the target, if not in the bull's eye, what else do you expect of an actor! Yehi badi baat hai ki usko goli chalana aata hai
Iqbal: job hi ho iss round mein toh Ranveer sir jeete
Arjun: haan par Rajeev ji ko zero nehi mila
After a lot of debate they decided the points after the 1st round:
Ranveer: 10/10 Rajeev: 4/10
Arjun came up and changed the scoreboard again:
RANVEER :10/10 RAJEEV:4.5/10
Iqbal: yeh kya hai?
Arjun: bas half number hi toh baraya, usme kya hai?
In the meantime Priyanka had already come in with Vikas, Rajeev saw her and went running to her, and dragged her to one corner
Rajeev: uff itni der laga di, kahan thi tum?
P: array maine kahan na Vikas se baat karne gayi thi
Rajeev: abhi baat karna tha? dekho tum nehi thi toh main yeh round haar gaya
P: mujhe kya pata tha tum mere aane se pehle hi competition shuru kar doge...good for you
R: toh kya karta, mere girlfriend kisi aur ke saath zyada busy thi, mere challenge toh uske liye kuchh bhi nehi
Bachho ki taraf muh fulate hue Rajeev ne bola.😆😆
Priyanka laughed aloud seeing his funny face: tum bhi na, bahut cute ho, achha baba sorry
R: no apology granted
P: kahan na baba sorry, ab jao dusra round jitke ao
R: (looking around) no I want a kiss first😳
P: kya???????? Rajeev yahan sab ke samne!!!!!!!!!!!!!😲
R: kahan hai sab, yahan koi nehi hai
P: No way, tum jaaaaaaaao
She pushed him away as she saw Arjun approaching them
Arjun: tumlogon ka romance ho gaya hai toh hum kuchh strategy ki baat karein? Pehle hi toh ek round round haar chuke hai janab
R: main kya karoon, pri nehi thi na isliye
Arjun: okay okay ab plan suniye
Rajeev: (to Priyanka): whispering: kiss toh main le ke rahunga...😆😆😳haan bolo Arjun
Round: 2: Ranveer looked evidently pleased but was a little nervous too. He knew he would win the first round but somehow felt apprehensive about what task the other camp might set for him. They might ask him to act out something, a sad scene or act like a beggar or something like that'.that shouldn't be difficult
Arjun: all right all set for round 2? Hum filmy log bahut dance wance karte hai na, toh your task is to choose a partner and dance with her
There was a loud gasp from the audience'all knew if there is one thing Capt Ranveer dreaded to do it was dance!! The girl cadets smiled, they had all forced him to dance on their freshers welcome night and he had refused blatantly
Ranveer: ehh'.dancing?....i mean'..what partner'who?
Rajeev: woh toh aap choose kariye'mera partner hai Priyanka, jaan tum yahan ayoge zara?
Pri blushed as Rajeev called her 'jaan' in front of everyone, she came forward
Pooja stepped forward too and whispered in an extreme nervous Ranveer's ears: Sir aap Nayanika ko bula lijiye, she is the best dancer in this academy, aap ko toh dance ata nehi, at least woh rahegi toh shayad kuchh ho sakta hai''.
A nervous Ranveer called for Nayanika, hoping she could pull him out

Pri: tumne mujhe sab ke samne 'jaan' kyon bulaya?
Raj: kyon ki tum ho meri jaan😳😳
P: chhii sab log kaise has rahe the
R: hasne do, maine apne girlfriend ko bulaya hai, kisi gyar ko toh nehi, ab jab sabke samne main tumhe kiss karunga toh log kya karenge?
P: whaat? Tum bilkul aisa kuchh nehi karoge
R: bilkul karoonga
P: main tumhe karne doon tab na?
R: tum dekhna, main karke rahoonga
P: okay main bhi dekhungi
R: agar maine kar liya toh tum aaj mere room mein rahogi
P: okay, bet. Main bhi dekhti hoon tum kaise karte ho, kitna badmash ho gaye ho tum Rajeev.
Rajeev smiles mischievously: dekh lo, aaj kiss karne nehi dogi toh pachtayogi
In the meanwhile Nayanika comes with an angry face.
Nayanika: kya hai, mujhe kyon bulaya?
Ranveer: dekho cadet, I need your help, nehi toh main yeh challenge haar jayoonga
Nayanika: karna kya hai?
Ranveer: umm'.dance'mere saath
Naynika: KYA????? AAP KE SAATH?
Ranveer: haan please, help me out, tum toh janti ho mujhe bilkul nehi ata'
Nayanika: okay okay, let me do the moves, aap sirf mujhe follow karna thik hai?
The music started.

Rajeev and Priyanka were scorching the dance floor, they were moving in unison as if they knew what the other one is going to do, their legs moved together, their hands moved together and they were thoroughly enjoying the dance'.they did look like a hot couple!
Udhar Ranveer and Nayanika were a complete mismatch. Nayanika was no doubt the best dancer of the academy, but Ranveer was a complete comedy to watch!!! 😆😆He desperately tried to follow Nayanika's moves but in vain, he looked like a child vainly trying to imitate his mother with no control over his limbs!! Twice he stepped on Nayanika's foot, slipped once and got his head banged into hers, 😆😆finally he stopped completely and stood by the side as Nayanika went on to finish the dance.
It was the turn of the actors' team to cheer: Ghazal and Harshad shouted at the top of their voices, Kunal did a little jig and Aliya went on whistling loudly. Even Vikas was so excited he shouted out 'Rajeev-Priyanka zindabad'
Arjun: kyon be baj gaya na band tere captain ka?
Iqbal: okay okay hisaab barabar, lekin Nayanika kya nachi yaar
Arjun: haan par challenge toh captain ka tha na? uske liye zero points
Iqbal: aur Nayanika ke liye 5
Arjun: nehi 4
Iqbal: okay 4.5, ab hisaab barabar
End of round 2: ab scores
Ranveer: 4.5/10 Rajeev: 10/10
Ranveer sat down all sweating, Pooja got water for him.
Nayanika: aapne itna achha dance kahan se sikha?
R: please cadet
Iqbal: oye captain sir ko tease mat kar, sir ab hume unhe bahut difficult kuchh dena padega
Ranveer: haan cadet, this is our last chance, pata nehi next round mein yeh log kya karne ko bole
Ranveer was evidently scared now, the actors are a dangerous group.
Pooja: main kuchh idea dun?
Iqbal: tu chup reh, main ladkiyon se koi idea nehi leta
Pooja: oye, jaban sambhalke, main mast idea dungi
Nayanika: Iqbal, tera woman bashing fir se shuru?
Iqbal: last time tumlogo ne fasaya tha, ab koi gadbad nehi. Sir aap mera idea suniye, woh log kabhi nehi kar payenge.
Iqbal: ok ab third round, hamari baari. This is what you need to do.
Seeing the task Iqbal had set them to do, the whole actors' team let out a cry of joy, hitting high fives with each other. Rajeev couldn't stop smiling, Arjun was virtually dancing'..
Pooja let out a sharp cry of shock: marwa diya na, main janti thi!! Aap ka ho gaya captain Ranveer, the actors are going to win now
