Maybe he should confront her privately; he grinned and nodded his head. This should be fun, he thought. But maybe now was not the time, he thought to himself. The Patyala trip was coming up in a weeks time, all his friends were going as well as him. 'Hmm..' he thought. Aaliyah and Harshini were both going. He smiled and thought, Harshu jaa rahi hai to Kripa bhi zaroor jayegee. Waha dekh looga use.. akele main. Par jab tak yaha hai, tab tak to usse mere tor tareeko se hi rehna pade ga. He grinned.
Just then Angad saw Kripa walking towards the table where Harshini sat. Angad's table just happened to be in a corner next to a large tree, and came before Harshini's. He sat with his gang on the table, with his legs resting on a bench, arrogantly, sipping on a can of coke.
It was a hot, sunny day so they decided to eat in the outside caf rather than the indoor one. Kripa spotted Harshini sitting with Aaliyah on a bench munching on her food as well as talking non- stop, and went to join them.
Kripa had seen Angad from far but had decided to ignore him, she had had enough of him today and wasn't going to give any attention to him otherwise she'd be stuck listening to him make random jokes on her.
Angad smiled knowingly and made a loud comment just as she passed him.
'Waisse Prithvi… aaj patah hai kyah hua?' he asked a rhetorical question.. he had already told his friends about the prank he had played but he wanted to enjoy the angry faces Kripa would give him. 'Ek ladki ko class nahi mill rahi thi.. to maine usse khud chor kar aaya… baad main pata chala ke madam jee mera peecha kar rahi thi aur ulta meri hi class main aagayi..' he mocked as he watched Kripa stop and look at him. Kripa made a disgusting face at him as he once again insulted her. She wanted to slap that smug from his lips but controlled herself. Angad winked at her and laughed holding his head back. Prithvi joined in to impress his guru, but felt sorry for Kripa. He wondered why Angad started this topic again until he saw Kripa walk past them.
Kripa stood there as she knew there was something else he wanted. She folded her arms and asked, 'koi kaam hai..'. Angad smiled.
'Nai…' he said. 'er waisse Prithvi.. bohat dinno se parathe nahi khaye,' Angad suddenly continued as Kripa turned around to leave. She stopped and looked at him as she guessed what he'd probably say next. '..wo bhi aaloo ke..' he said this slightly louder and hinted Kripa. Harshini was oblivious to this as she sat a few meters away from them.
'To.. Kripa.. ' Angad added seriously. Kripa turned towards him, 'KAL!.. SUBHA!... tumhe sab ke liye nashta bana ke laana hoga.. FIRST PERIOD SE PEHLE... main tumhara intezaar karoo ga... GOT IT?', he clicked his fingers as a flicker of mischief appeared in his eyes. Kripa could feel her anger building up, how can she cook for all of his friends.. and HIM. She barely had time to eat breakfast herself this morning, but she nodded silently. There was no point in arguing she thought and walked towards Harshini. Angad grinned and high-fived at Prithvi. Prithvi wanted to defend Kripa, tell Angad to stop bothering her, as it is it was only her first day and Angad hadn't let her live in peace since he first layed his eyes on her. Bechari.. Prithvi thought.. itni bholi hai, but he couldn't go against his 'guru' so he remained quiet.
'Hi', Kripa said as she sat down, Aaliyah and Harshini smiled back. She forgot all about her tensions as she got involved in the talks and again became her usual chirpy self, talking about nothing and everything. She had a good sense of humour, and basically laughed at all of Harshini's jokes, even the non-funny ones. As Harshini talked about her hero, 'Hrithik and Shar Rukh', Kripa smiled and thought, bilkul nahi badli. She remembered how they used to go to the cinemas to watch any new Sharukh film's when harshu came over. But she had been so busy lately that she hadn't had time to have fun.
Angad watched Kripa as she laughed and talked. He never thought Miss. Kripa was so talkative. A slight smile appeared on his lips as he saw her laugh enthusiastically. She would get impressed at the smallest things, he thought. He stared at her lips that curved up in a huge smile everytime someone cracked a joke, let it bee funny or weird. He watched her from the corner of his eyes as she moved the loose tendrils of her hair behind her ears, expertly.
Kripa felt someones gaze on her and turned her head slightly, shocked to see Angad staring at her. Their eyes met, not knowing why, neither of them wanted to look away. But Kripa came back to reality and frowned at him, for distracting her, and turned back around.
She closed her eyes as she felt the hot rays of the sun piercing through her. She shifted slightly on her seat and covered her forehead with her palms, so she could have a clear view of Aaliyah who sat opposite her. Suddenly, the rays were blocked by a shadow. She smiled and lowered her arm. She felt someone's gaze on her.. again.. and looked up to see Angad standing a few meters away, blocking the sunlight. She wanted to nod in appreciation but then remembered the morning she had with him. Angad had seen her getting irritated by the sunlight so blocked her shadow, not knowing why. But Angad being Angad, smiled and winked at her confused face. Kripa shot him a murderous look and roughly turned around and began talking.
Angad laughed mently, unknowinly, he found himself getting quite amazed at her little gestures; the murderous looks she kept giving him… her smile.. her voice... 'Woah!!!' he thought as he shuddered out of his thoughts. Suddenly, he thought of something and walked to AALIYAH as a sheepish smile planted his lips.
'Hey Aaloo..' he started, Kripa's head jolted up at the familiar sound. She looked up and saw HIM standing with Aaliyah. Quite confused, she quickly looked back at Harshini and began making a random conversation with her.. pretending she hadn't seen him.
'Main yahan bhait sakta hoo', he asked Aaliyah and sat down without waiting for an answer. Aaliyah knew why he had come, for Kripa, but she also knew he had come to tease her as she noticed his grin. She could guess what Angad was up to without a doubt, as she had known him since childhood. But she still felt quite confused, Angad was't the type of guy going after one girl, she thought. OK he came to annoy her... but he was always the flirt types, she thought, so why was he always looking for a chance to annoy Kripa.
Angad himself didn't know why, but he thought it was quite ammusing to see her make weird faces at him behind his back, or give him angry looks from time to time. And anyways, she never says anything, he smiled mentaly..
Before Aaliyah could say anything her phone rang. She quickly got up and excused herself, 'Excuse me.. main abhi aayi..' and left.
Kripa saw Aaliyah leave and thought, ab to main gaayi.. she knew Aalyah would have defended her against Angad. Ab koi aur khane ki list dene aaya ho ga.. bara aaya sahab zaada.. apne aap ko raja samajhta hai.. mujhe apna nokar samjh kar rakha hai… shakal dekhi hai kabhi aayine main.. bilkul bandar lagta hai, bandar', she thought and looked up, atually.. dekhne main itna bhi bura nahi hai, she blushed as she saw him grin knowingly. Angad watched her face turn different shades of red not knowing whether she was angry… or blushing, but he grinned anyways.
Kripa quickly looked away to Harshini, 'hamme jaana chahiya Harshu..main PHIR late ho jaoogee,' she exagerated on Phir, hinting at Angad, who ofcourse grinned shamelessly and nodded his head sideways, this was just to easy.
'thehro Kripa.. itni jaldi kya hai.. To.. Harshu.. apni dost se nahi milaogee mujhe..' Angad mocked as a smirk came across his lips, Kripa narrowed he eyes at him.
'erm.. waisse to subha hi mulakaat ho gayi thi na Kripa se.. kyun Angad..' Harshini laughed as she remembered what had happened earlier. He grinned shamelessly as he saw Kripa's face turn crimson red. Kripa looked at Harshini as if saying, who's side are you on?.
'Haan.. wo main kaisse bhool sakta hoo,' He said as a wide smile appeared on his face and he eyed Kripa up and down who shifted slightly at his pericing gaze and looked away.
Angad wanted to say something, but he knew he couldn't as long as Harshini was there. Luckily, for him, Prithvi soon walked towards them, 'Hey.. Harshu.. mujhe tum se koi kaam hai.. do minute Zara mere saath aao'. He made an excuse as Angad had told him to take Harshini away.
Harhshini got up, 'Acha chalo…', and started following Prithvi.
'Main bhi aati hoo tumhare saath..' Kripa quickly got up as she noticed Angad smile naughtily at Prithvi. She had thought it would be the end of ragging, but she didn't know Angad yet.
Angad quickly interrupted, 'Come on Kripa..Prithvi ko Harshu se kaam hai… akele main.. do you know what I mean?' and winked at her. Angad of course was joking as he himself knew Prithvi never felt any strong feelings for Harshini. Then he added mischievously, 'Kya tum mujh se darti ho?' and smiled.
Kripa sat back down hesitantly and muttered, 'Nahi to'.
'Good!', he smiled back. Her heart did a little somersault as their eyes met, he was looking very handsome in that leather jacket, she thought and turned away again. She flushed at his constant, bold gaze on her. Angad felt her tremor and smiled slightly. The lose strands of her hair were blowing all over as the wind hit her face. He felt a sudden urge to tuck back the lose wavy strands behind her small ears. She really was very pretty, rather HOT as he liked to phrase it..
Finally, Kripa couldn't stand his looks anymore, she held her waist with her right hand and said angrily, 'Kuch kehna tha kya,' He smiled and thought, to isse jawab dena bhi aata hai.
'Haan.. actually main tumhe kuch batane aaya tha,' he started, '..batane aaya tha ke kitne parathe chahiya.. kai kam na par jaaye,' he continued with a mocking tone and suppressed himself from laughing.
Kripa remembered Harshini's words, he really was a self- centred and an arrogant person.
He leaned against the table and began counting on his fingers, taking his sweet little time as he saw most the students had left for their next class. 'hmm… sab ke liye do (2).. aur mere liye… teen(3),'.
'KYA? TEEN?… tum sab kha loge?' she questioned as she saw his buff body. Angad smiled, 'yeah.. I know… kum hai na.. waisse to main chaar khata hoon.. par phir maine socha ke tumhe itne zyaada banane padhe ge… so I took pity on you, ……..so………. only 17 altogether' he winked.
Uff… kitna khta hai… pity my foot!!... subha se tang kar raha hai aur ab yaad aayi hai meri, she thought as he talked. 'Ok… theek hai… main kal le aoogee', her face reddened with anger as she said with clenched teeth.
'But don't worry, I work out,' he said as he slapped his right arm. Kripa' jaw slightly opened, how did he read my mind? He winked at her as he saw her in confusion.
'waisse.. mujhe lagta hai tumhe ab jaana chahiye… warna phir kaho gee ke maine late kardiya,' he got up and smirked at her. Actually, he was the one being late for his class. 'aur yaad rakhna… First period se pehle.. I don't like having my breakfast late… GOT IT?', he added and left with his hands in his pockets, whistling to himself. Kripa watched him leave and made faces at him behind his back and mimicked him, mere liye teen.. par phir maine socha ke tumhe itna zyaada banane padhe ge…

Kripa reached home and Gayitri questioned her, ' aao beti.. college kaissa raha.. dost shost bane ya nahi'.
She thought to herself: acha tha my foot!!... shuruaat hi galat hui to aage jaa ke kya hoga… par shukar hai this is the end for this.. waisse bhi kal subha parathe doogee usse aur aur phir tang nahi karega.
But aloud she said, 'haan mom… bohat acha tha… college bhi aur college ke log bhi,' she added softly.
