Kanya and Pammi both yelled out "Kya!?" at the same time. (What?!)

P- Aditya ji yeh aap kya keh rahe hai? Aaisa kaise ho sakta hai? (Aditya ji, what are you saying? How can this happen?)

By this time the rest of the family was up and had come into the living room. They saw that Aditya was there, Pammi had a hand covering her mouth and Kanya was just staring into space not paying attention to Pooja and Shanta who were calling her.

A- Pammi, kya hua? Tum roh kyun rahi ho? (Pammi was quiet) Pammi, kuch toh bolo. (What happened Pammi? Why are you crying? Pammi, say something.)

C- (cutting into the conversation) Aare, aap saab itne upset kyun hai? Aur woh Mr. Ranbir Nanda hai kahaan? Kitni raath hochuke hai. (at the mention of Ranbir's name Pammi began crying even more) (Hey, why are you all so upset? And where is that Mr. Ranbir Nanda? It's the middle of the night.)

A- Aditya ji aab aap hi boliyeh ke kya hua? Pammi aur Kanya ki yeh halat kyun hai. (Aditya ji you tell us, what happened? Why are Pammi and Kanya in this state?)

Adi- Woh, main abhi abhi hospital se aa raha hoon. (The this is, I am coming form the hospital.)

Pooja- Hospital, hospital kyun? (Hospital, why the hospital?)

S- Ghaar mein saab tik toh hai naa? Woh phate kapde ne Shanaya ko maar diya hai kya? (Is everything okay at the house? Has that torn clothes wearer killed Shanaya or what?)

A- Shanta Tai, chup rahi yeh, yeh koi mazak kaarne ke waqt nahin hai! Aditya ji aap bataiyeh naa ke kya hua.(Shanta Tai, be quiet, this isn't a time to make jokes!)

Adi- Ghaar mein toh saab tik hai lekin…Ranbir… (Everyone at the house is fine but...Ranbir...)

C- Ranbir, kya hua uss saand ko? (Ranbir, what happened to that saand?)

Adi- Ranbir hospital mein hai, uska accident hua hai. (Ranbir is in the hospital, he has had an accident.)

"Kya!?" the entire room roared. (What!?)

A- Yeh saab kaise hua? Kaab hua? (How did all this happen? When did this happen?)

Adi- Mujhe zyada kuch nahin paata, main toh yahaa aaya tha Kanya ko lene. ( I don't know much, I just came here to pick up Kanya.)

Pooja- Aapko paata kaise chala? (How did you find out?)

Adi- Main bohot der se Ranbir ko dund raha hoon. Office pe nahin tha, yahaan pe nahin tha, uska phone bhi nahin lag raha tha. Main baas usse dundne nikal raha tha ke ek phone aaya police station se. Officer ne ek license plate ka number mujhe di aur poocha ke kya main uss number ko pehchanta hoon ya nahin. Woh number Ranbir ki gadi ki thi. Taab uss officer ne bataya ke uss gadi ka accident hogaya hai. (I had been looking for Ranbir for a while. He wasn't at the office, he wasn't here, and his phone was unreachable. I was about to go search for him when I got a call from the police station. The officer read me a license plate number and asked if I recognized the number or not. That was Ranbir's car. That is when the officer told me that the car was involved in an accident.)

A- Ranbir kaise hai? Tik toh hai naa? (How is Ranbir? He is okay, right?)

Adi- Abhi kuch nahin paata. Ranbir operation theater mein hai, issi liyeh main Kanya ko lene aayaya. (I don't know anything right now. He is in surgery that is why I came to take Kanya.)

P- (she was finally getting over he initial shock) Haan, haan, Kanya beta chalo jaldi karo. Tum Aditya ji ke saath jaao, hum tumhare peeche aate hai. (Yes, yes, Kanya honye hurry up. You go with Aditya ji, we will follow behind you guys.)

Adi- Main aap saab ek saat lekar jaa sakta hoon. (I can take all of you together.)

P- Tik hai, hum saab chalte hai. Kanya? Kanya kya hua, ut naa…jaldi kaar, hume abhi nikal na chahiyeh. (Ok, then we will all go. Kanya? Kanya what happened...get up...hurry, we have to leave right now.)

(Kanya didn't move)

Pooja- Kanya?

Shanta- Eh Kanya, chal naa…ut jaa. (Hey Kanya, come on...get up.)

C- Chutki, kya hua…tu chup kyun hai? (Chutky, what happened...why are you quiet?)

Kanya could hear her family members, Aditya, and Chunnu calling out to her. However, the only thing that was ringing in her ears was the fact that Ranbir had gotten into an accident. How was that possible? No, no it wasn't true, she did not believe it.

Adi- Kanya chalo, dehr maat karo. (Kanya let's go, don't delay.)

P- (went over and touched Kanya's shoulder) Kanya? (she looked at Pammi) Chalo beta. (Let's go honey.)

K- (she began shaking her head) Nahin, main kahin nahin jaungi. Main nahin jaungi. (No, I'm not going. I'm not going.)

A- Yeh kaise baatein kaar rahe ho tum? Ranbir hospital mein hai, tumhe jaana hoga. Chalo…jaldi. (What are you saying? Ranbir is in the hospital, you have to go. Let's go...hurry.)

K- Nahin! Maine kahaa naa ke main nahin jaungi! Aap log mujh paar zabardasti nahin kar sakte. (No! I said I'm not going! You guys cannot force me like this.)

P- Kanya, aaise behki behki baatein maat kar aur chal! Ranbir ka accident hua hai, woh hospital mein hai…serious lagta hai. (Kanya don't talk crazy and let's go! Ranbir was in an accident and is in the hospital...it sounds serious.)

K- Nahin, kuch nahin hua hai usse! (she got up from the sofa) Yeh saab uska natak hai. (No, nothing happened to him! This is all his drama.)

A- Kanya…

K- Papa aap nahin jaante, mujhe tang karna usse bohot pasand hai. Humesha mere saath aaisa ghanda khel khelte hai…aap poochi yeh Shanta Tai se. Kyun Shanta Tai? (Dad you don't know, he loves to torture me. He always plays these dirty tricks with me...ask Shanta Tai. Aren't I right Shant Tai?)

S- Woh… (Errr...)

K- Yaad hai, ek baar pehle woh aaisa kar chuka hai. Yaad hai Mamma, usne ek DVD beja tha jo yeh bata raha tha ke woh margaya hai. Yeh bhi uska koi naya chal hai. Mani jaanti hoon! (Remember, he did this once before. Remember Mom, he sent a DVD that said he was dead. This is some new move of his. I know it!)

Adi- Dekho Kanya, main manta hoon ke Ranbir ne aaisa kiya tha, lekin yeh koi drama ya plan nahin hai. Uska saach mein accident hua hai. (Look Kanya I admit that he had done that, but this isn't some drama. He really was in an accident.)

K- Nahin, main nahin manti. (she began shaking her head and walking around the room) Main nahin jaungi. (No, I don't accept it. I won't go.)

P- Kanya…tu hosh mein toh hai? (Pammi grabbed her) Tu kya keh rahi hai?! (Kanya...are you in your senses? What are you saying?!)

K- Kuch nahin hua hai Mamma, kuch nahin. Yeh saab Aditya Bhaia aur Shanta Tai ki naya plan hai, main jaanti hoon. Aap dekhna, thodi dehr mein Ranbir aayega aur phir saab se 'sorry' kahega. (Nothing happened Mom, nothing. This is all Aditya Bhaia and Shanta Tai's new plan, I know it. Watch, in a little bit Ranbir will come and say 'sorry'.)

Adi- Kanya, woh nahin aayega! (Kanya, he won't come!)

K- Aayega! Woh zaroor aayega! Woh mere saath aaisa nahin kar sakta! (suddenly Kanya began yelling) Biwi hoon main uska, woh mujhe aaise nahin daara sakta! Aditya Bhaia, aap jaiyeh aur usse kahiyeh ke main usse bohot naraaz hoon. Ussne aaise drama karke tik nahin kiya. Kissiko itna pareeshan nahin karte. Aap jaake kahiyeh usse, ke main ghaar pe uska intezaar kar raha hoon. Aane doh usse, main nahin chodungi! (He will come! He can't do this to me! I am his wife, he can't scare me like this. Aditya Bhaia, go and tell him that I am mad at him. What he did was wrong. He shouldn't torture someone so much. Let him come, I won't spare him!)

Kanya began to back up while shaking her head in the negative. When she hit the wall, tears were brimming in her eyes but she didn't shed them. Instead, slowly she fell to the floor. She pulled her knees up to her chest and just began chanting.

K- Aayega, woh aayega. Ranbir laut ke aayega. Woh zaroor aayega. (He will, he will come. Ranbir will coem back. He will definitely come.)

Pooja, Adita and Pammi rushed to Kanya who was like a frozen statue while the men watched.

Adi- Dekhiyeh, main aur nahin ruksakta, mujhe vapas hospital jaana hai. (Look, I can't wait any longer, I need to get back to the hospital.)

A- Pammi tum Kanya ke saath raho, hum Aditya ji ke saath hospital jaate hai. Jaise ki kuch paata chalega main tumhe phone kardunga. (Pammi you stay with Kanya, we will go to the hospital with Aditya ji. As soon as we hear some news we will call you.)

P- Ji (Ok)

As the girls stayed with Kanya and tried to get her up onto the sofa the guys went with Aditya. Harpal, Suhaas and Anand went while Chunnu decided to stay back with the girls and Kanya. At home, Kanya was not listening to anything that her family was telling her; she kept repeating that Ranbir would come home; nothing else went in at all.

Once the guys reached the hospital they ran up to the floor where Ranbir was. Once they got there they realized just how severe Ranbir was. In the all waiting for news was Malika, Aayan and Siddhart. The guys were trying to hold it together but Malika was crying like any mother would. Siddhart was the first to see Aditya and the Godbole's.

Sid- Aditya, tum aagaye? (Aditya, you are here?)

M- Aditya (she looked up and then looked around) Kanya kahaan hai? (Aditya, where is Kanya?)

Adi- Chaachi, woh…Kanya humare saath nahin aaye. (Cachi umm...Kanya didn't come with us.)

M- Kya? Kyun? (What? Why?)

H- Aunty woh, Kanya nahin mante ke Ranbir Jiju ka accident hua hai. (Aunty, Kanya doesn't accept that Ranbir Jiju was in an accident.)

Aayan- Kya matlab? (What do you mean?)

Adi- Kanya ka kehna hai ke yeh saab Ranbir ka koi naya natak hai. Usska kehna hai ke Ranbir yeh saab usse satane ke liyeh kaar raha hai. (Kanya says that this is all part of Ranbir's new plan. She says that he is doing all this just to mess with her.)

M- Kya? Pagal hai kya? Yeh koi mazak nahin hai! Tum ne kahaa naa uss se ke yeh koi mazak nahin hai? (What? Has she gone mad? This is no joke! Did you tell her that this isn't a joke?)

A- Ji Aditya saab ne kahaa tha lekin paata nahin Kanya ko kya hogaya, woh aane se mana kar diya hai. (Yes, Aditya did say that but who knows what happened to Kanya, she just refused to come.)

Suhaas- Woh pagaloon ki tarha ek hi baat baar baar keh rahi hai. Baar Baar keh rahi hai ke Ranbir ghaar vapas aayega, issi liyeh woh hospital nahin aayi. (She just keeps mumbling the same thing over and over again like a mad person. She keeps saying that Ranbir will come back home, that is why she didn't come to the hospital.)

M- Lekin Kanya ko yahaan hona chahiyeh. Ranbir ko uski zarurat hai. Aditya, jaao…phirse jaao aur usse lekar aao, mujhe koi bahana nahin chahiyeh! (But Kanya should be here. Ranbir needs her. Aditya go...go again and bring her here, I don't want any excuses!)

Adi- Lekin Cachi… (But Cachi...)

Aditya's sentence was cut off mid way when the light to the OT went off and the doctors stepped out.

M- Doctor, mera beta kaise hai? (Doctor, how is my son?)

Dr- Dekhiyeh, Ranbir ki case complicated hai. Accident ke vaje se hume uska spleen nikal naa pada. Uske pair ke hadiyaan toot gaya, left clavicle mein fracture hai, aur theen broken ribs. Inn saab ke saath saath thoda bohot cut's aur burises bhi hai. Humne ek CT scan kiya hai, abhi toh saab kuch normal hai. Agli 24hrs bohot critical hai. Ranbir ko ICU mein shift ki gaya hai take hum usse monitor kar sakte. (Ranbir's case is complicated. Due to the accident we had to remove his slpeen. He had broken leg bones, left clavicle is fractured, and three broken ribs. In addition to these he had various cuts and bruises. We have done a CT scan, for now everything is normal. The next 24hrs are critical. Ranbir has been moved to the ICU so we can monitor him closely.)

Adi- Kya hum Ranbir ko dekh sakte hai? (Can we go see Ranbir?)

Dr- Filhal nahin, jaab tak woh stable naa hojaye tab tak koi andar nahin jayega. Aab main chalta hoo, aagar koi problem ho ya phir question ho toh mujhe page kardena. (Not right now, until he has stabalized no one can go inside to meet him. I must go now, but if you have any problem or any questions have me paged. )

The doctor left and the whole family was reeling from what the news that they had just received. They knew that Ranbir's injuries were serious but thankfully nothing was life threatening. Now they just had to pray for him to wake up and be okay.

M- Baas, aab main kuch nahin jaanti, mujhe Kanya yahaan chahiyeh toh baas chahiyeh. (That's it, I want Kanya here no matter what.)

Adi- Cachi woh nahin aayegi. (Cachi, she won't come.)

M- Usse aana padega! Main bhi dekthi hoon, woh kaise nahin aayegi! (She has to come! I will see how she stays away.)

Malika took off followed by Aditya close behind. The Godbole's, as well as Siddhart and Aayan stayed behind to keep watch on Ranbir. They were all praying for him to be well.

By this time it was already past 3 in the morning. At the Godbole residence everyone was worried about what was happening in the hospital. Pammi had gotten the call from Anand updating them on Ranbir's status. When she tried to tell Kanya, Kanya refused to listen. She kept shaking her head and rocking her body as she repeated the line that Ranbir would be home. Chunnu went up to Pooja who was pacing.

C- Pooja Di, aab lagta hai ke aap ko kuch nahin karna padega Kanya aur Ranbir ko alag karne ke liyeh. Woh saand saab kuch aapne aap kar diya. (Pooja Di, looks like we don't have to do anything now to split up Kanya and Ranbir. That saand did everything himself.)

Pooja and everyone else, including Kanya, looked at Chunnu; how could he say such a thing. Pooja and Shanta wanted Ranbir and Kanya to split because they had a contract marriage but they would never wish for this to happen. Everyone slowly turned their attention to the main door because there was a knock.

P-Malika ji aap? (Malika ji, you?)

Malika didn't say anything but just walked right in. Hearing her name Kanya got to her feet and went to her.

K- Mummy-ji yeh saab kya hai? Saab keh raha hai ke Ranbir ka accident hogaya hai, lekin main nahin manti. (Mummu-ji what is all this? Everyone is saying that Ranbir was in an accident, but I don't accept that.)

M- Kanya beta… (Kanya honey...)

K- Nahin, aap…aap usse phone kijiyeh aur kahiyeh ke woh ghaar aajaye. Woh mujhe saatane ke liyeh ye natak kaar raha hai, hai naa? Usse kahiyeh ke yeh tik nahin hai. (seeing Malika standing still Kanya grabbed her hand) Mummy-ji please aap phone kijiyeh naa. Main jaanti hoon ke woh aap ki baath khabi nahin tal sakte. Mujeh bohot gabrahat ho raha hai. (No, you...you call him and tell him to come home. He is doing this drama to mess with me right? Tell him that this isn't right. Please call him. I know that he can't refuse you. I am really getting worried now.)

M- Kanya, woh ghaar nahin aayega…woh hospital mein hai. (Kanya he won't come home...he is in the hospital.)

K- Mummy-ji yeh aap kaise keh sakte hai. (she moved back) Aap uske Maa hai, aap aaise kaise keh sakte hai. Main nahin manti…aap bhi iss kehl mein shamil hai. Main nahin manti. Woh ghaar aayega, woh ghaar aayega…(she kept repeating) (Mummy-ji how can you say that? You are his mother, how can you say something like that? I don't believe it...you are part of this plan too. I don't believe it. He will come home...he will come home...)

Malika couldn't take it any more, enough was enough, she needed to get back to the hospital with Kanya. Malika walked up to Kanya and the next thing you heard was the reverberating sound of the slap that landed on Kanya's cheek. Malika grabbed her by her shoulders and shook her.

M- Kanya woh nahin aayega kyun ke woh hospital mein pada hai! (Kanya was shaking her head) Woh behosh hai, uska surgery hua hai…woh bohot critical hai. (Kanya he won't come because he is lying in a hospital! He is unconscious, he has had surgery...he is very critical.)

K- Nahin (she whispered) (No)

M- Tujhe mere saath jaana hoga. (You have to go with me.)

K- Nahin (still whispering) Main nahin jaungi. Woh ghaar aayega…mujhe paata hai…woh ghaar aayega. (No. I won't go. He will come home...I know it...he will come home.)

M- Kanya, baas! Chal mere saath! (Kanya stop it! Come with me!)

Kanya was still whispering to herself about Ranbir but didn't pull back when Malika dragged her by the arm out to the car. They were followed by Pammi and Adita. Pooja, Shanta and Chunnu were going to follow them in a taxi.

The entire ride to the hospital Kanya was dazed just looking out of the window and repeating "Ranbir ko kuch nahin hua hai. Woh ghaar aayega…main jaanti hoon." (Nothing happened to Ranbir. He will come home...I know it.)

That's it?? Tune bechara ko itne ahsani se chod di?? Itne saare hadiyan tode thora aur bhi karleti. Like brain se saare memory jaa chuki hai! Liver aur kidney's ka bharta ho gaya!! Ek hand paralyzed ho gaya. Ek aankh andha ho gaya.

Enough joke. That was a awesome update. I loved the Kanya denial part. I hope she suffers ALOT. She cries till she can't cry anymore. Then she kills shanta and chuunu for all the time they were mean to him. Awesome update. Can't wait for the next part!!
