Part 59:
Angad covered her with blankets and walked out of the room silently. She had fallen asleep while they sat in each other's arms romancing. Angad walked downstairs and joined the others for dinner.
Naina: Kripa kahan hai?
Angad: she's sleeping.
Naina: Sleeping? Already? What about her dinner?
Aliyah: Bhai...she needs to eat!...
Josh: want me to go bring her?
Angad: ok everyone!! relax!! She was just sitting there and fell asleep...when she wakes up...i will make sure she eats dinner!
Dilip: Angad theek keh raha hai...woh uska pati hai....hum sabse jyada, Angad ko Kripa ki fikar hai...usse abhi khana kha lene do...woh kripa ko baad mein khila dega...aur ab ek mahine ke liye usse hi to Kripa ki dekh bhaal karni hai...
Angad: kyun? aap sab kahan jaa rahe hai?
Dilip: beta...mein, tumhari mom aur dadi calcutta jaa rahe hai...ussi surgeon ke paas jisne dadi ki surgery ki baat ki thi...dadi ke kuch tests karvane hai aur shayad treatment bhi shuru ho jayegi...
Angad: oh...agar aap chahe to mein chala jaata hoon..
Naina: Of course not...Kripa ko iss waqt tumhari sabse jyada jarurat hai...tum usse chod kar nahi jaa rahe....main jaa rahi hoon na dad aur dadi ke saath....tum chinta mat karo...
Angad: theek hai..lekin aliyah aur josh to hai na...
Josh: nahi hai!...
Aliyah: We are going to gujarat...Josh ki kisi door ki cousin ki shaadi hai..Kripa to prateek ko lekar jaa nahi sakti....to main aur Josh jaa rahe hai...mein bhi ghar mein bore ho jaati hoon..
Angad: par aliyha....aisi haalat mein travelling....
Josh: dont worry...we're not taking a long drive. We have broken up our trip into intervals...we will be staying in a hotel at each destination....dont worry....I have everything planned...
Angad(in his mind): Awesome!...so Its just me, Kripa, and Prateek....(something crept up his leg which brought him out of his thoughts)
Angad looked at Josh who kept looking at his plate while Aliyah was staring at him. Angad was sitting right beside Josh who sat across from Aliyah. Aliyah picked up her glass of water and started to drink when Angad spoke.
Angad: Aliyah....that's my leg! Move a little to the left to get a hold of Josh's.
Aliyah choked on the water she was drinking while Angad, Dilip, Naina and Dadi burst into laughter. Kripa was walking down the stairs when she heard the laughter.
Kripa: Kya hua? Kiss baat par itni hansi hai?
Angad: Aliyah started playing footsies with me thinking it was josh.
Kripa laughed while Aliyah and josh turned red.
Aliyah(whining): Bhai.......
Angad: What?? Did you think twice before telling everyone the pool incident?? It was just revenge sister!
Josh moved to the seat beside Aliyah to give Kripa the seat beside Angad. The second Kripa sat down, prateek cried. Kripa at once got up and ran up the stairs. Dadi and Naina exchanged satisfied looks and smiled. Angad noticed and questioned.
Angad: kya hua?
Naina: kuch nahi..
Angad: mom...I am not blind...I saw that...its something regarding Kripa...everything ok?
Naina: haan...everytihng is fine...me and dadi are just happy..
Angad: any specific reason..
Dadi: Angad...Kripa bahut choti si umar mein maa ban gayi hai na...to humein bas laga tha ki woh shayad itni badi responsibility nahi utha payegi..
Naina: Lekin isse dekh kar ab humein tassalli ho gayi hai...Kripa jitni acchi beti hai, jitni acchi dost, behend aur patni hai....utni hi acchi maa ban kar dikhayegi...
Angad felt proud hearing praises for her beloved wife.
A week Later:
Angad: Chalo...yeh kaam bhi ho gaya..ab kya??
Angad and Kripa just got into the car after Kripa and Prateek's check ups. Everything was fine again, Kripa had recovered from her delivery while Prateek had set into his daily routines. Khanna house never seemed quiet or empty. It was always filled with Prateek and Kripa's giggles.
Kripa: I dont know...go home I guess...
Angad(smiled): I was hoping you'd say that.
Kripa(punched his arm lightly): Angad...tum bhi na....bade badmaash ho gaye ho...
Angad: what? I dont know what you're thinking...I was saying home because prateek is sleepy..
Kripa: really? Is that so??
Angad: of course....tumhe kya laga...
Kripa(rolled her eyes): Nothing....chale?
Angad drove home while grabbing her hand every once in a while or just simply leaning on her and giving her a kiss. Ever since prateek's birth, Angad had a slight change in him. He was much more mature and romantic. He would act like a kid himself sometime and pretend angry with Kripa only to make her come and get romantic.
Angad(thinking to himself): paas ho kar bhi 9 mahino se door the hum Kripa...but tonight..all those distances get eliminated.
Kripa: Kuch kaha tumne?
Angad: nahi to...your ears are ringing.
Kripa: could be...why are you driving so slow? Can we go home quickly please??..I am sleepy...Prateek didnt let me sleep all night yesterday.
Angad(muttering under his breath): And tonight Prateek's papa wont let you sleep..
Kripa looked at him with raised eyebrows.
Kripa: I heard that!
Angad just laughed at her "angry" sounding tone. Prateek was on the verge of sobs when they reached Khanna house. Kripa quickly took him out of the car seat and rushed up to his room. She put him in the crib, got out his nursing bag, and took out a new diaper. Just when she was doing that, she spilled a bottle of baby lotion which was left open by none other than Angad. She groaned and went into the washroom to wash her hands. Angad made his way up to the room in no rush. He picked up prateek and held him up at his level playing with him, making faces, making prateek laugh. All Kripa heard was "KKRRIIPPAA". She ran out of the washroom and burst into laughter when she saw Angad standing there awkwardly with prateek in his hands and soaked t-shirt.
Kripa: Angad...mein uska diapar hi change kar rahi thi...tum bhi na......waise...mere bete ne theek to kiya hai...papa ko mama ko sataane ki saza dedi...
Angad: its not funny Kripa...here! Take him from me!
Kripa: kyun?? Superdad ban ne ka bahut shaukh hai na?....to bano..
Angad(naughtily): waise...superhusband ban ne ka bhi bahut shaukh hai...
Kripa: baatein banane mein tumse to koi nahi jeet sakta....lao usse.......jao....change kar lo.
Kripa took prateek from Angad and Angad left to shower and change after giving a quick kiss to his wife and son. Kripa nursed prateek. He fell asleep in no time.
Kripa: wah...kya farak hai baap bete mein.....ek yeh hai...jo sone ke alawa kuch karta hi nahi....aur sona Angad ki "to-do" list mein sabse last aayega...
Angad(from the shower): Kripa!!!
Kripa(standing at the bathroom door and hissing): Chhilao mat!! Prateek so raha hai...
Angad: sorry! Um...Can you paas me the towel please...i forgot it outside...
Kripa shook her head and walked to the closet. She picked a towel and walked to the bathroom door. Angad opened the door a bit and crept his hand out for the towel. When Kripa was handing him the towel, he grabbed her hand and pulled her inside instead. He pressed her tiny frame against the door, leaning on her. She noticed he was shirtless but he sure didnt need a towel. he was still wearing his jeans which indicated he hadnt taken a shower.
Kripa: Angad....yeh....kya kar rahe ho.......chodo na.....prateek bahar hai...
Angad: jaanta hoon..
Kripa: Angad woh akela hai....agar jaag gaya to?
Angad: Nahi jagega...
Kripa: Angad...
Angad(putting his finger on her lips): Shhhh...kuch mat bolo...
Kripa trembled slightly at the touch and moved her and to his bare chest. He pressed her hand to his heart to show her his heavy, unsteady beats. She moved her fingers as she noticed the beats. Kripa tried hard to control her breath. Angad turned her face to him while Kripa's face bacame pink. She looked at their hands entangled at his chest. He kissed her eyelid, then moved to the next one and kissed it as well. Kripa heaved warm breath at his touch. Her warm breath brushed Angad's neck which awakned the passions in him. He stared into her face and moved down to nose tip and kissed her lips. Kripa moved her face before he kissed her again and lost his senses.
Kripa(with trembling voice): Abhi nahi Angad...
Angad didnt listen to her and kissed her again. She gasped and put her head on his shoulder. angad put his hand around her and tightened his grip on both of of her hands. Kripa felt angad losing his senses and tried to release her hand but he didn't allow her. Angad touched his lips with hers. Kripa lighty bit his lip and suceeded in releasing her hands. She quickly pushed him back and rushed out of the bathroom. She walked into the kitchen to prepare their dinner.
Kripa carried their dinner to their bedroom in a tray. She knew Angad would be there with prateek right now. Their life had an everday scehdule now which revolved around prateek's activities. He sat there on the bed looking at an album. She put the tray on the side table and sat snugly beside him, staring at their wedding pictures as he looked through each and every detail.
Kripa: Pictures baad mein dekh lena...pehle khaana kha lo...thanda ho jayega!
Kripa reached for the tray but Angad stopped her. He pulled her into his lap, and placed the tray in her lap. Both took turns feeding each other morsels. After they were done, Kripa tried getting up but who was she kidding? as usual, Angad stopped her.
Angad: mat jao na...
Kripa(giggled): bas yeh tray kithcem mein rakh kar aati hoon...
Angad mouthed "i'll be waiting". He waited impatiently and walked over to Prateek's crib. He bent and gently kissed prateek's chubby cheeks. He drifted into a dream world as he continued staring at Prateek. The click of the door knob brought him back to reality. Kripa slipped in in front of him and gave him a tight hug. She didnt know why she did that but she was missing him for some reason. Eventhough he was there, her heart wanted to spend every second together. Kripa looked at angad and he smiled as tightening his embrace. he kissed her lips strongly. She reciprocated with the same passion for a few moments. Both slowly moved away from each other. kripa caressed his forehead and stroked his hair back properly.
Angad stared into her eyes and kissed her cheeks. He pressed his lips to hers. Both were immersed in savouring each other's kiss. He moved away from her after a few seconds and stared into her face. he lifted her and carried her to the bed. he rolled her on the bed and lay beside her pulling her on him. she rested her head on his chest. he cuddled her with one hand and caressed her arms with another. She was silently scribbling on his chest. Both were enjoying each other's presence silently. Their minds became empty with relief. All the tensions they had had gone away. They didn't know what they were thiking about. They were just enjoying each other's touch and listening to each other's steady heart beat. Angad took kripa's hand stopping her from scribbling and touched it with his lips. He kissed her palm and fingers one by one. he pressed her palm to his cheek closing his eyes mesmerisingly. She pinched his cheek lovingly and looked at his face. She lowered her eyes to see his love filled eyes.
Angad(huskilty): I love you!
She looked into his eyes passionately, moved up, and kissed his lips and cheeks indicating him to possess her. he pressed her close and rolled on top of her kissing her neck, throat, jawline, and lips. both slowly relaxed in passionate reunion after their long tough wait.
