okies now i have to tell you that you ff has been my friend since last week when i take breaks from my hectic studies...its awsome and i m finally with you...and very gald to reply first...you are doing a brilliant job hun...i love the way angad edited all the things kripa mentioned and that was very clever of Angad...he really is in win-win situation as far as kripa is concerned...she is going to marry her husband again...u rock it hun...cont soon

Tanya laid on the sofa with prateek on her stomach.

Tanya: come on…say it…pa-pa….

Prateek: ma-ma

Tanya: no beta…Pa-Pa…

Prateek pouted his lips to try and say what Tanya had been trying to get him to say for the past half an hour. She finally let the poor kid go when the doorbell rang. Knowing it was Angad, she rushed to the door happily and opened it. Angad didn't even wait for the whole door to open, as soon as the door opened enough for him to squeeze through; he walked in and embraced Tanya. She hugged him back with equal emotions. She wasn't the only one missing him, he was missing her back. It made her feel good to know that.

Tanya(pulling apart): how was your day?

Angad: it was sooo busy….

Tanya: aww…too many patients?

Angad(lifting prateek): no….not even a single patient…

Tanya: then what kept you so busy?

Angad: you.

Tanya(yelling as she walked into the kitchen): me??

Angad: yea…I kept wanting to come back home so I can be with you…

Tanya(coming back with a glass of water): being your PA, I'd join you at the clinic but prateek is here…don't want him around sick people all day..

Angad: I know…I was thinking of calling Aliyah and Josh here…they could take care of him and then we can be together 24/7.

Tanya: we'll be together 24/7 after marriage anyways…

Angad: I cant wait that long.

Tanya shook her head. It had been a week since the confessions and Angad had been so impatient. He craved to spend more time with her and prateek now that he could be himself around her. Tell her that he loved her, cuddle her and so on.(yea..the list can go on forever..lol..). She took a step to turn around and leave with the empty glass when he grabbed her hand and pulled her onto the couch beside him.

Angad: quit running away.

Tanya: im not running anywhere…I was just going to put the glass back in the kitchen.

Angad: whats more important? The glass or me?

Tanya: hmm…is that a trick question.

Angad(annoyed):noo…

Tanya(giggled): I know….nothing is more important than you or prateek. I'm just teasing…

Angad: you love teasing me don't you?

Tanya: its fun seeing you annoyed…see…I told you I can be really annoying…

Angad: you can annoy me later….first go and change…

Tanya: change?? Kyun? Hum kahin jaa rahe hai kya?

Angad: Tanya!! The dinner!!! Its today!!

Tanya: oh yea…oh god…Angad…do we have to tell them today??...I'm scared…how will they react??

Angad took her hand in his and intertwined their fingers.

Angad: look…even if they react negatively, is our love for each other going to decrease?

Tanya shook her head as saying no. She leaned and rested her head on his shoulder.

Angad: they are our friends Tanya…im sure they will support us completely. And about rahul. I will talk to him. Im sure if I talk to him calmly he'll understand…

Angad looked at Tanya who sat stiff as a stick beside him on the table. He could tell she was nervous because she kept shuffling her feet under the table. He slowly crept his hand up to hers under the table and held it, telling her to calm down. Mishti kept giving them side glances to try and guess what could have happened between Angad and Tanya after she had left the other day. They hadn't said anything about the day since. She was worried because so far, in front of everyone, they acted just the way they had before they confessed. Angad took a fork in one hand while Tanya's grip on his other hand tightened. He smiled at her and tapped his wine glass with it.

All heads turned to him while Tanya's heartbeat started racing.

Angad(cleared his throat): I have an announcement to make.

Eijaz: HOLD IT!! Another announcement?? Armaan…move….your not sitting in front of me for this one…

Armaan: but there are no other seats…im not moving and that's that.

Eijaz: ok well Riddhima…take away all edible items away from him until Angad's announcement is over.

Everyone laughed and diverted their attention back to Angad.

Angad: um…Tanya and I are getting married.

All the girls squealed and congratulated them both while the guys looked at Angad as if he was joking.

Eijaz: that was fast…me and Barkha have been together for almost two years now but marriage is no where in the picture.

Mishti: its called love at first sight…I still remember…after their second meeting, technically first normal meeting, Tanya had told me she..

Tanya kicked Mishti under the table signaling her to shut up.

Angad: told you what?

Tanya: oh nothing…she doesn't know what she's talking about.

Mishti: I don't know what I am talking about?? Honey…I think you forgot that you told me you thought Angad was hot…I remember…

Tanya became red out of embarrassment while others giggled. Angad laughed lightly as he put his arm around her and pulled her closer.

Angad(whispering): we don't have to pretend friends now that everyone knows…and don't worry…you're hot too.

Oh man. That didn't help. That didn't help at all. She just got more redder at his comment.

Riddhima: so when do we get to hear the wedding bells?

Angad: um don't know exactly…but I want to hear them myself as soon as possible.

Mishti: we all know that but whenever the wedding…the engagement is going to happen ASAP!

Angad: aw man….do we have to?

Mishti: yes we do.

Angad: alright then…I'll inform my parents after the engagement.

Tanya: you parents??

Armaan: obviously he has parents…he didn't just drop down to earth from the sky you know…

Tanya kept her questions to herself for that moment and continued to go with the flow. Suddenly, Mishti springs up.

Mishti: I have an idea!!! Okay….um..guys….shopping!! we need to go shopping.

Kartik: oh come on!!! Stop with the shopping already!

Mishti: no stupid! Listen to me!! There is a nice jewelry store across the street…we can go and get the rings right now and get these two love birds engaged tomorrow!!!

Riddhima: Oh my god! That is an awesome idea!

Rahul: I don't think so. I don't think Tanya marrying Angad is a good idea in the first place.

Everyone looked at him quite surprised while Kripa looked at Angad fearfully.

Riddhima: why rahul?

Rahul: well…what if tanya's husband comes back asking for her? Then what?

Tanya: me and Angad already had this talk rahul! You don't need to interfere. And no matter what you try…you'll never get what you want…understand?

She got up and left leaving everyone a bit surprised. No one, except for Angad, had ever seen her that angry before. Angad shook his head.

Angad: rahul…I request you to stay away from her. I know what your problem is but you know…she was right…you cant make someone fall in love with you…and I love her from the bottom of my heart. If you hurt her in any way, I'll forget that we used to be friends.

Angad got up, picked up prateek, and followed Tanya out of the restaurant.

Rahul: did you see that? He is just using her.

Mishti(pounded her fist on the table): That's it! You know what rahul?....you disgust me! Don't think we don't know what your problem is. Angad told us everything. We all knew you were going to try and create problems between the two but guess what…its not going to happen! Kya kaha tha tumne? What if her husband comes looking for her? He wont…because her husband is..

Kartik(interrupting her): DON'T MISHTI….dont say a word to him…he will take advantage of knowing the truth. And I'll second what Angad said rahul. If you hurt her, I'll forget that you are my friend.

Everyone left him there. They couldn't believe it was the same rahul they used to know. The sweet, shy, and caring person had turned into a selfish, evil, and a desperate *******.

On the other hand, mishti caught up to Angad and Kripa in the parking lot where Angad was reassuring Tanya that nothing would go wrong.

Mishti: guys…ignore him. Lets go!

Tanya: where Mishti?

Mishti: uffo…just listen to me alright?...lets go!

Mishti took Tanya's hand and pulled her away. Kartik stepped up to Angad and patted his shoulder as if giving him the encouragement he needed. Soon they realized that Mishti was dragging them towards the jewelry store she was talking about. Soon they bought rings for the two and left the store.

Mishti: Angad, Kripa…lets go…you two are coming with me.

Angad: ab kahan Mishti?

Mishti: both of you ask too many questions…just do as I say okay? Get in the car!...kartik!...im driving.

They all listened as Mishti bossed them around. She got in behind the wheel and drove away. Ignoring the questions asked by the three, she drove directly to the temple. She hastily got out of the car, opened tanya's door and pulled her out once again.

Tanya: Mishti yahan kyun le kar ayi ho tum?

Mishti quietly walked up to the idle and waited for Angad to catch up. As soon as he came, she handed him Kripa's ring and handed Kripa Angad's solitaire.

Mishti: exchange rings!

Everyone: WHAT?

Mishti(rolled her eyes): Exchange-rings. Get-engaged. I know you all think this is weird but I saw the rage and jealousy in rahul's eyes. He'll do anything to get Tanya in his life…agar ek baar engagement ho gayi to who kuch nahi kar sakega…that's why im telling you two to get engaged.

Kartik: she has a point. Pyaar mein chot khaya hua insaan kuch bhi kar sakta hai…

Armaan: aur waise bhi…jab tum dono ne shaadi kar lene ka faisla kar hi liya hai…to phir kal kya aur aaj kya?

Riddhima: main to kehti hoon ki tum dono abhi isi waqt shaadi kar lo…

Angad: no…not like this. If you guys want, I don't mind the engagement right now but no wedding right now. Tanya ko main puri rasm aur rivaazon ke saath apni biwi banaunga…my parents will be present, Aliyah, Josh and the rest of the family…

Mishti: accha theek hai baba…shaadi mat karo…engagement to kar lo…Im sure Tanya doesn't have an objection…Tanya?

Tanya: I don't mind but Angad…are you sure? I don't want you to rush through anything if you don't want to.

He took her hand in his and slipped on the ring with a big smile on his face.

Angad: does that answer your question?

She looked down at the ring and smiled while her cheeks burned red. All others awed and clapped. Following mishti's gesture, Tanya slipped on the solitaire on his finger as well.

Angad: yea Aliyah…im very happy…don't tell them though…I'll come back in a week for a day or two and bring you all along.

Aliyah: are you bringing Kripa as well?

Angad: no…because then they will react just like you did…I will come there explain everything to them and then bring them here…anyways…I'll call you later…I should hang up right now…if Tanya comes out of the bathroom, she'll hear me…okay?....take care….bye…love you too.

Tanya(coming out of the room): who else do you love Angad..

Angad(smiled as Tanya took a seat beside him): don't burn in jealously…it was Aliyah…I called her to let her know that im going back to Mumbai in a week for a day or two to tell my parents about us.

Tanya: Angad…humne engagement to kar li…but what if they don't approve of us?...or me should I say.

Angad: its not possible…you can never get disapproved…jo tumhe ek baar dekhle who tumhe approve hi karega….aur agar kisine nahi kiya…to samajh lena woh insaan paagal hai…

Tanya: hmm…baatein banana chodo aur mujhe jaane do…prateek ko check karna hai..

Angad: check karna kaam to mera hai na…..surgeon to main hoon…

Tanya: prateek ko surgeon ki nahi meri jarurat hai…samjhe?

Angad: jarurat to mujhe bhi hai na tumhari…

Tanya: kab nahi hoti yeh batao…

Angad: kya yaar…hamari engagement ko ek hafta ho gaya…do hafte mein hamari shaadi hai…mera haq banata hai ki main tumhare saath time spend karu..

Tanya: what if I say I don't want to spend time with you.

Angad: question isn't that…the question is…WOULD you say no?

He looked at her with those mischief filled eyes of his making her blush.

Angad: I know jab tak tum prateek ko check nahi kar leti…tumhara mann mere paas bhi nahi lagega…tum jao…check kar lo prateek ko…until then….i'll just freshen up.

Tanya beamed and kissed his cheek before hoping away to prateek's room. Angad waited until she left and then he went into his bedroom, which was now dotted with pictures of him, Kripa, and prateek, along with the Angad-tanya pictures from various events.

On the other hand, Tanya checked on prateek. He was sleeping peacefully. She felt the chilliness in his room so she went to cover him up with a blanket. Her finger brushed against his cheek which made her realize that Prateek's body was burning with high fever. She checked to make sure what she felt was reality and not her imagination. Her eyes filled tears of worry while her mind overflowed with tension. She ran out of the room and headed for Angad's room when she didn't see him in the living room. Forgetting that she wasn't supposed to go in there, or to knock before she entered, she flung the door open, taking Angad by surprise.

Tanya: Angad!! Angad…prateek ko…prateek ko bahut tez bukhaar hai…kuch karo please..

Hearing that even Angad ran out of the room, completely oblivious to the fact that Tanya/Kripa had entered the room which gave away their past. Tanya was about to follow Angad out of the room when it struck to her. She turned her head to the side to take a look at something that caught her attention.

Angad checked prateek's pulse and breathing. He was breathing fine, his pulse was normal, just his fever was extremely high. This wasn't his type of case so he immediately called up prateek's family doctor. The doctor arrived in matter of minutes. Angad moved impatiently while his son was being checked by a complete stranger. He himself was a doctor but couldn't do anything in this case. The fact stung him.

Doctor: koi serious baat nahi hai…seems like regular flu…just give him this flu syrup and he should be fine in a couple of days.

Angad: thank you so much doctor.

Doctor: anytime mr.Khanna…I will never forget that you saved my wife's life…that's why I came here as soon as you phoned me. He will be fine. Don't worry. Take care.

Angad: you too doctor.

Angad dropped the doctor to the door and went back to prateek.

Angad: Tanya pra…

He suddenly realized she never followed him out of his room. All this time he was thinking she was standing with him in prateek's room. He swore roughly and ran to his room where he saw……

Yep...i know you all hate me for this cliffhanger...but cant continue from this point and on...its a different sequence...if i write it with this part, the part will become too long...and i dont have the time right now. hope you guys understand as always. Feel free to comment and criticize.
