Part 10
The next morning greeted a sleeping Zaib with a chirpy tune…he groaned unhappily and reached for Tannu…only to find cold air. He opened his eyes and saw Tannu no where…he listened for sound in the bathroom…but the familiar sound Tannu was not heard. He picked up his phone and sent her a message—"where r u Tannu?" Her reply came only a second later. "im in the living room…with pari and krish…get ready and come down ill make breakfast 4 u". He smiled as he thought about Pari…his pari she was so beautiful and perfect…the result of his and tannu's love…and Krish…his new son he learned from Kavya everything about him and was glad that Tannu adopted him…he was so cute and like an angel. He went up to the bathroom and got ready. 15 minutes later he came down wearing blue jeans and a white sleeveless shirt. He saw Krish looking after Pari with an overprotective gaze, his arms crossed over his small chest and standing there looking around for any sign of danger…just like a bodyguard. Zaib smiled and went to the kitchen to see Tannu dressed in a white sari with the pallu wrapped tightly around her waist and her hair clipped back…she was making omelets and toast. She turned off the gas and placed the toast and omelets on a plate and turned around to see Zaib leaning against the fridge…watching her with a smile. She walked to him and handed the plate to him…he didn't take it…still smiling and looking her up and down. She frowned and shook her head. She placed it on the table and walked back to the living room…him following her with the plate. She sat down and picked Pari up…playing with her. She looked up and saw him still not eating.
T- uff zaib will u eat already?
Z- no
K- why not dad?
Z- simple ur mom is not feeding me
T- zaib ur not a kid eat it urself…im gonna put pari in her bed.
She went upstairs and laid the sleeping the baby in her and Zaib's room. She made sure there were pillows around her so Pari wouldn't fall out of the bed. After kissing Pari's forehead she went downstairs to find only Zaib there.
T- where did Krish go?
Z- he's playing with the others in the backyard
T- oh ok then
She sees the food still untouched and glares at him.
T- what is this zaib? Please eat
Z- not until u tell me what's wrong with u
T- what r u talking about?
Z- u've been acting weird…and I noticed you not looking in my eyes for more than a second
T-…uhhh…I don't know what ur talking about
Z- yes u do now tell me
T- woh…what mishti said in the hospital…about u and her…is it…is it true?
Z- what did she say?
T- u and her together…in a physical way
Z- hell no like I would ever touch her in that way
T- oh…well ok then
Z- wait…that's what been on ur mind?
T-………….yea
Z- idiot…I admit I dated her but the farthest I've been with her is kissing and that wasn't pleasant either.
He pulls her in his lap and hugs her close to him…she rests her head on his chest and smiled happily…yes he was hers…and only hers.
~~15 years later~~
We see a woman's back as she opens a door…messy and definitely a guys. There were posters of cars, girls, sports, and singers on the walls…a plasma 21 hanging off the wall, a desk with an apple laptop. There were clothes everywhere on the floor, the chairs, and table. She shakes her head…her black hair falling down her back in layers. She was wearing a red sari…her eyes are shown…green. She goes to the guy lying on the bed. His face is hidden in his pillow…his black hair messy and long. She goes to him and starts shaking him. Her whole face is shown…its Tannu she looks older but still her beautiful self.
T- wake up Krish…u have college remember
K- ugghhh…let me sleep mom…im soooooo tired
T- im not surprised…u were partying yesterday now get up don't make me get your father…u know he'll pour cold water on u
K- no don't call him…im up im up
He sits up and shows his face…his hair falling on his forehead and his blue eyes were innocent and naughty at the same time. He looked sleepy yet his sleep seemed to vanish after his mom mentioning his dad and cold water. He gets up and hugs her…towering over her small frame. He was now 6'2 taller than his dad by one inch. He was wearing loose jeans and no shirt…showing his six pack and muscles to the world. She walks out of the room as he goes to the bathroom he comes out 15 minutes later with a towel wrapped around his waist…daring to fall…his hair wet and sticking to his neck and forehead. He opens his closet and takes out blue loose jeans and a sleeveless green shirt. He puts them on…combs his hair…messes it up by running his hand through it. He gets his black sunglasses and put it in the pocket of his jeans. He gets his keys…wallet and walks down the stairs. He sits down and starts eating. He looks up as Zaib comes down…still the same but older. He was wearing jeans and a white shirt. He sits down and greets everyone. 5 minutes the three looked up as a girl came down. She was wearing a black churidar and looked beautiful. She looked just like Tannu but her smile and eyes were Zaib's…this was the beautiful and innocent Pari Khanna. She sits down and eats…after their done the two kids leave in Krish's sports car. The parents watched smiling softly…their little babies were grown up. Tears came in Tannu's eyes as memories of the kids growing up flashed in front of her eyes. Zaib wiped them and kissed her forehead as they stand at the doorstep…watching silently…happily…lovingly…their two kids drove away in the sun. 😃😃
