PART 18

The next morning, after breakfast everyone started on his or her way back to Illinois.

Everyone enjoyed the journey back as they were all together and by the time they reached their houses it was very late.

Once home Sana, ate what was there in the house and went straight to bed.

The next day was a Sunday and so everyone took their time to come out of their tiredness.

Sana enjoyed the day off and on Monday morning she was fresh and started straight to work.

She had only reached her office and sat down when she was informed that there was an important meeting the next day and Sana was to help Arhan arrange for it.

Arhan had moved into the Illinois branch and would work with them for a while.

Sana got up and started towards Arhan's office.

She entered after her knock being answered.

Sana sat in front of Arhan and took down notes as to what the project was about and in what manner the meeting would be held.

All the information collected and all doubts cleared Sana got up to leave.

" Care to join me for dinner Sana today?"

" Dinner, sir?" Sana asked a little taken aback.

" Yes, that's what I said."

" There's so much to do and I don't know whether I'll be able to finish it in time to catch you for dinner."

" Don't worry, I have some work as well and we can leave together."

Sana found no other option but to agree.

" Alright then, see you later on."

" See you." Arhan said smiling.

Sana returned the smile and started towards the door.

Sana had so much to take care of in the office and the fact that she had to go out to dinner with Arhan added on to the stress.

Sana was completely occupied with work and had no time to take her lunch.

Her heart was cursing Arhan, " If he had not asked me out for the dinner and left me with no other option but to agree I would have done my work more peacefully and at least I would not have to starve like this", her heart said.

Having no other option she finished her work before the given time and went to Arhan's cabin.

" I'm done with my work, I'll be heading home see at the restaurant in another hour." She said to him.

" You look very tired Sana, I think you should go home and freshen up."

"Alright." She said and left the cabin.

" I thought he'd let me take rest and drop the plan but no, the guy can never do that," Sana said to herself as she was driving back home.

She reached home and the first thing she did was eat. She was starving and she could not wait for another hour to fill her grumbling stomach.

She did not have her stomach full but had enough to sustain her for the moment.

Then she got ready and headed towards the place where Arhan had told her earlier that day.

She went inside sat at the nearest available table and began to wait for Arhan.

10 minutes passed… 20…30…45.

" Ok this is getting ridiculous" Sana said, " I have had enough of it, how long does he expect me to wait? Forever?"

" I would have eaten a happy dinner at home, but no, he had to invite me to dinner and make me wait for such a long time. That does it I'm out of this place."

Sana got up and left immediately towards the door, walking as fast as she could, and praying she would not bump into Arhan on the way.

Once she was inside the car and started moving she called up Arhan.

" Hi, Arhan," Sana said, trying to keep her voice as calm as possible in spite of her anger,

"Where are you?"

" Me, where do you think I am? At home having dinner."

" What? You are having dinner while I am waiting here like a fool for you. You were the one who invited me for dinner and you are eating leaving me to be malnourished."

" I'm really sorry Sana, but…"

" But nothing. Bye." Sana said in an angry tone and cut the line.

She reached home and after cursing Arhan as much as she could, had something to eat and went right to sleep.

i think she will go out for all the meals with anyone but arhan, and for us it would be kashif.😉😆

PART 19

The next day, Sana woke up and got ready and headed for work. She did not want to speak to Arhan at all till her project was completed.

Sana was then called to the conference room where the discussion would take place and after a few hours, it was over, it was finally over.

Sana was really relaxed and went back to her place to calm herself.

A few minutes later her friend passed on a message that Arhan had been intending to talk to Sana.

As soon as she got that piece of news, she knew what would be the topic of discussion; he would want to apologize for the previous night.

" What else could he do but say sorry" Sana told herself.

After having finished some of her work, Sana went up to his office and then was beckoned in by him.

They discuss some very important official matter and soon Sana got up and was about to leave, when a hand pulled her from the back.

Sana missed her balance and fell right into Arhan's arms.

" Acting too funny were you last night?" He said in an angry and arrogant voice.

Sana was feeling uncomfortable and Arhan was getting out of control.

With Sana pressed against the wall, Arhan tried to kiss her and harass her.

Sana tried to move and get herself free but his hold was too tight.

She finally kicked him, due to which he lost his balance a little and she was successful in getting away.

Sana, crying hard, ran out the door. People were stunned to see her that way, and Rakhiya followed her.

Once outside she asked Sana what was going on.

Sana was hostile at the beginning but then told her what had happened.

Sana did not wait for a reply and started to drive away at once.

Rakhiya stood where she was and watched Sana drive away.

" Sana," called a voice behind her. " What was wrong? Why did you act like that?"

Rakhiya turned back, " I'm not Sana," she said, " and I don't know what made her behave the way she did."

" Woow it was quite impossible to recognize you Rakhiya, you look so much like Sana." Said Sadaf.

" It's a shame that you were not able to recognize the one you love." Rakhiya said as she walked away. She had kept her word that she had given to Sana.

PART 20

Sana had reached home and was thinking about what had happened.

" I'm not going to work there anymore," she said, " and I'm not going to make any delay in giving up my resignation." She said to herself as she took out a paper and a pen and started on a resignation letter.

Once she was done, she sat back into her car, and drove like a maniac towards Arhan's house.

She reached there about 9:55 and she knew it was a little late but she did not want to face him the office before all her colleagues.

She walked past the watchman standing guard and entered his house around 10.

She went in waited for a few minutes as the maid went in to fetch him and handed over the letter and told him that she did not wish to continue.

Arhan tried to protest but Sana showed him down and walked out of the house.

" So this is it," Arhan said at the door, " This is good bye."

The watchman eyed them in distrust.

This irritated Sana even more. She decided not to answer and started walking. She saw her watch and it read 10:15.

Sana went back home and after a hot shower bath she was about to sleep when she heard her phone ring.

PART 21

She picked up the phone thinking that it had to be Arhan. She answered the call and heard Rakhiya's voice from the other end.

" Sana I am really sorry for disturbing you, but I want to see you quickly."

" What's wrong Rakhiya you seem really upset?"

" Sana my mother has met with an accident and she needs to be given medical treatment at once and I don't have the money with me to start it out. If you can lend me some I will surely repay it the first thing in the morning."

" Sure Rakhiya, but where do you want me to meet you?"

Rakhiya gave her the address and the amount she required and ended the call.

Sana got up at once and headed towards the place where Rakhiya had beckoned her.

Sana reached the place in about 15 minutes and waited for a few minutes for Rakhiya to find her.

" Are you waiting for a young lady named Rakhiya?" Asked the guard nearby.

On replying with a yes, he said, " she was waiting for you over there ma'am have a look over there."

Sana went forward and sure enough Rakhiya was standing there breathing heavily and crying.

" Calm down" Sana said as she handed her the money, " everything will be alright."

Sana after calming her down and after asking to meet her mother and being refused, as she would not be allowed to left for her house.

Sana went home and tried to get some sleep, but the events of the day did not allow her to do so.

The next day Sana woke up and after having taken her bath, sat down to read the newspaper, but before she could do so her phone rang.

Sana answered it.

" Hello"

" Sana, Kashif here."

" Hi how are you?"

" I'm fine but I am sure you won't be?"

" What do you mean?" Sana's thoughts ran over the possibility of Kashif coming into light of what had happened at work the other day.

" You have not read the paper?"

" No."

" Let me read it for you. " Murder of Mr. Arhan Khan, the chairman of the AK industry and his employee Sana Ashfaq has been charged for the crime."

i'll be unable to continue this ff for a couple of weeks and thus i have posted three parts together, I'll be posting the next part in teh first week if june.

Omgg...Who killed him?? But im glad he's dead anyway...And im sure Kashif will help Sana out of this mess!! 😊
