Episode 3

Lakshya reaches home after work, and is talking to Ganga-Sahil, about the marrige.

Lakshya: mai shaadi sirf 2 shart pe karunga...

Ganga: kya?

Lakshya: hum dono mere appartment mein rahenge, aur shaadi simple hogi, 2-4 guests aur humaari aur KT ki family, very simply, that's it..

Sahil: theek hai beta. toh pandit ji ko aaj shaam bulakar date fix kara dete hai.

Lakshya: okay! i'll go get something to eat...

He leaves.

Ganga: pata nahi KT ne kya kaha hai Lakshya ko, par shukar hai, raazi to hua. Tum dekhna Sahil, shaadi ke bad, yeh bohot ghul-mil jayenge.

Sahil: tum theek keh rahi ho Ganga. ab to bas intzaar hai.. shaadi jald se jald ho jaye ab bas.

Ganga: hmm...

Raj: KT.. beta Lakshya se baat hui?

KT: jee dad.

Raj: maan gaya na woh?

KT: jee.

Raj: theek hai, to mai Sahil se kuch shaadi ki baat karta hoon..

He picks up the phone, and dials the number.

Raj: Hello.

Sahil: Raj?

Raj: haan, bhai, date fix ho gayi?

Sahil: pandit jee ko abhi bulaya hai, woh aate hi honge, mai phone karke date batata hoon, okay?

Raj: okay, bye.

Sahil: bye.

They hang up.

The preist comes and decides the date, by doing the rituals..

Preist: shaadi ka shub mahurat 3 din mein hai. uske aage, karib 1 saal taq koi shub mahurat nahi hai.

Sahil: jee, thank you!

The preist leaves.

Sahil notifies Raj.

The preparations start from the next day.

NEXT DAY...

Lakshya's cellphone rings, while he is in his appartment.

Lakshya: Hello?

KT: Laksh?

Lakshya: tumhe mera number kaise mila?

KT: shaadi hone wali hai, to number ka kya hai, huh? ab suno, mai abhi aa rahi hoon tumhare appartment mein, wahi rehna, baat karni hai.

Lakshya: eeh par suno to--

Kt disconnets the phone.

SHE REACHES HIS APPARTMENT IN 15 MINUTES, HE INVITES HER INSIDE, AND THEY CHAT ABOUT THE MARRIGE.

KT: okay, ab dhyaan se sunno.. since humaari shaadi arranged hai, tumhe kuch rules follow karne padenge, aur in rules ke baare mein kisi ko pata nahi chalna chahiye, sirf humaare beech mein hai yeh sab, samjhe?

Lakshya stares at her with a serene look on his face.

KT: okay, to shaadi ke baad, hum yaha rahenge, tumhare appartment mein, tumhare paas 1 bedroom appartment hai, so you'll have to adjust couch pe.. hum tab taq ek dusre ko chuenge nahi, jabtaq mai aur tum pakke dost nahi ban jate, aur ek dusre ke baare mein sab kuch jaan nahi lete toh. yeh sab to bohot zaroori hai.. aur phir---

She continues, and continues.. as Lakshya stares at her wide-eyed!

On the other side, at Sahil-Ganga's house, they were decorating along with Raj helping them all.

They had gotten everything ready for the mehendi ceremony, and the sangeet ceremony (for the next day).

They had the flower decorating about finished, they had decorated the house with lights all around, etc.

Everyone was roaming around, there was a huge rush in the house, due to the preparations.

Lakshya: bas, bas, bas! 10 minute ho gaye hai, bolti hi jaa rahi ho, bolti hi jaa rahi ho.

KT: toh phir tum agree karoge rules ko, ki mai aur bolu.

Lakshya *joins hands*: theek hai meri maa, tumhe jo rules kahe hai, manzoor hai mujhe!

Lakshya says sarcastically, as a joke.

KT: good! okay, toh yeh hai tumhara appartment..

She says looking around.

Lakshya: haan. Tour chahiye?

He says sarcastically.

KT: nahi, mai khud hi dekh loongi.

She gets up and roams around.

Lakshya sits there confused, looking at her.

She comes back after exploring each and every corner of the appartment.

KT: shaadi ke baad, yaha kuch changes aayenge.

Lakshya: jo tum kaho. mai to phassa hua hoon.. (sighs) kyyuunn...

KT: ohh Mr. Virani, phasi to mai bhi hoon, samjhe! But, i'm not complaining..

Lakshya *mutters*: woh isiliye, kyunki tum ziddi kitni ho. mera poora lifestyle chahnge kar diya ek second mein hi.

KT: KYA KAHA?

Lakshya: nahi.. kuch nahi... tum karo jo bhi karna hai...

Lakshya's phone rings again, he answers the call.

Lakshya: Hello...

Lakshya: WHAT?!
He says standing up, shocked!
