I squirmed in my seat, a little uncomfortable at the close proximity and his grin widened as he realized the reason for my discomfort. He leaned a bit closer his arms brushing against mine. Part 4

The next day, I was awoken from my sleep by the insistent licking of my Yorkshire terrier, Snuffles, (totally copied the name from Harry Potter) who was gifted to me on my 18th birthday by Aaliya. Sweet gift right...NOT! Considering the fact that I 'was' terrified of dogs. But what can I say, the little guy grew on me. But sometimes, I simply hate him. Like right now. Why'd he have to go and ruin my sleep? And CRAP! Is that my diary he's running away with?

I got up and chased after him. That's my diary you creep! I yelled after him. Honestly speaking, sometimes I think Aaliya gifted him to me to make my life miserable. I ran after him as he went out the front door. Now who is stupid enough to leave the front door open? As I chased him, I received several amused glares from my neighbors but then again, I was wearing my sleeping suit which happens to be a silk tank top and brief shorts.

I dashed all the way past my front yard all the way to Samantha's place, (remember she's my neighbor) and stopped in mid step. For standing in front of me, holding Snuffles in one hand and my diary in another was Angad Khanna. And that's not all, he was shirtless too. My Oh My! What a sight. The perfectly sculptured body with those abs and *sigh* those biceps. I would have swooned but dignity and self respect kept me upright. Meanwhile Mr. Cool stood there checking me out. It was then that I realized my scantily clothed state and I blushed. Yes people I am human therefore I do blush…Sometimes.

I moved forward to take my diary and Snuffles from his arms and the mere brush of his arm against mine set me shivering. I never did believe in all the romantic stuff I read in books and magazines but this was very much like that. I mean the stuff you read about an electric current passing through your body, it totally happened…but then again, it could be static. However, I backed away from him and he smirked.

Angad: Hey! He grinned at me, flashing those perfect white teeth. I smiled back a bit hesitantly.

Me: Hi! What are you doing here?

Angad: I'm here for the pool party. I must say, interesting choice of clothes to go out for a jog. He said eyeing my lilac silk tank top and shorts. I blushed again.

Me: Snuffles here, I said pointing to my dog, ran off with my diary. Somehow both of us got here she ended. Angad smiled at me.

Angad: What do you write in the diary that is so important that you came here to get it? He asked flipping the pages and I snatched it from him.

Me: Haven't you heard of PRIVACY?

Angad: Nope! Now that you are here, do me a favor and stay for the party! It's a big bore and I need some amusement.

Me: Do I look like an entertainment package to you? Oops! Wrong question. His lazy smirk answered my question perfectly. As fate would have it, my jerk of an ex-boyfriend came striding outside with Samantha clinging on his arm (clingy much?)

Samantha: OHH...What do we have her? A gate crasher! Kripa honey, I don't remember inviting you to my party. It's for cool people only.

Me: Yeah I was just dying to be here. I remarked sarcastically.

Samantha: And what on earth are you wearing? I know you want to impress Angad and all but this is the rather too much don't you think? She sneered. Oh how I wanted to slap that beautiful face of hers. Me wearing my sleeping suit to impress Angad. Atleast it covers more skin than her semi transparent bikini. I clenched my fist, stepping forward to hit her.

Angad: Actually Sam, I took the liberty of inviting Kripa here. I hope you don't mind? He questioned, slipping an arm around my shoulder. Oh the look on her face and that of Prithvi's was priceless. I wish I had a camera it was truly a picture perfect moment.

Me: Thanks! I whispered to Angad. He wasn't so bad after all. Well I'm off now. I don't think this party is cool enough for the likes of me anyway. I winked at Angad who winked back and walked away with as much dignity a girl in my position could muster. I spent the rest of my day dreaming about Angad…my knight in shining amour…correction swimming trunks...did I mention he looked HOT!!

I went out with Nishant and Kanan who somehow were aware of all that happened and couldn't stop ragging on me but it was way better than the curious looks I kept getting from people I don't even know. It seems as if everyone was aware about the whole confrontation.

The next day, baba asked me and Aaliya to be at home since we had guest coming over. Apparently he had just met his long lost best friend and baba being the man he is, invited the whole family over with no prior notice. It really messed up my plans cause I had one hell of a party to attend. But then again, I could sneak out later.

I went out to get the groceries for our cook and was going upstairs to change when I bumped into Josh. My God the mere sight of him scared me out of my wits. What was he doing here? Especially when baba was home.

Me: WTH are you doing here? Do you have a death wish or something?

Josh: Kripa chill! I came here to see my baby! You know I can't stay a day without seeing her.

Me: how much of her will you be seeing if baba sees you here? He'll probably kill you then marry her off to someone else.

Josh: That will never happen. Now be a good soon to be sister- in- law and help me sneak out the front door. If I climb down the pipe, I most certainly will get caught.

Me: Fine hurry up. I think the guests are here. I walked down the stairs with Josh hiding behind me. It was actually quite comical but luck for him; we made it all the way to the front door without getting caught. The raised voices coming from the hall indicated that the guest were already here.

Josh: Thanks Kripa! I owe you one.

Me: Yeah you do.

Josh: Have I told you that you are the best? No doubt about that. He winked at me and gave me a friendly hug.
At the very moment, who should come walking through my front door, none other than Angad Khanna? He stood there gaping at me and Josh like I was some alien from another planet and weirdly, Josh bore a similar expression.

Me + Josh + Angad: AT ARE YOU DOING HERE?time out! All this is too confusing.

Me: I live here!

Josh:My girlfriend lives here

Angad: I'm a guest here! Wait WHAT? Kripa is your girlfiend? He asked shocked.

Josh: No bhai, Aaliya is.

Me: BHAI! Did you just say bhai? Oh boy do I need an aspirin

this ff is turning out to be better and more exciting then i thought it could be!! angad and kripa's interaction is just so hooking i can't get enough of it!! 😉
