Manthan was looking out and was in deep thought....Laksh noticed his silence...

L:Manthan...

Manthan didn't hear...

L:(loudly)Manthan...
M:Hmmmm......(in a small voice..but not in his senses)
L:(in a loud voice)Sneha...
M:(turns around)Kahan...?
L:(laughing)Kaun?
M:(smiles)Laksh...Bataao,kahan hai woh?
L:(naughtily)Manthan....Tell me...You are in love with Sneha...right?
M:(shyly)Haan.....I love her...How did you find out...?
L:I didn't find out...Kt did..And we heard you talking to her about holding her hand in the theatre..Chakkar kya hai dosth?
M:Oh...You know..When she was sitting near me...I don't know..I couldn't control myself...Her arm was brushing mine..Her hand was placed on the arm of her seat...My hand was close to hers..and...you know....I suddenly grabbed her hand...(looks at Laksh guiltily)
L:(smiling)and what did she do?
M:(looks down)She panicked and loosened her hand from my grip...After that she didn't even talk with me or look at me...
L:But don't worry dude...Kt thinks that she also loves you...
M:(excitedly)Really....!!
L:She is not sure though...She said she will ask Sneha about it.....

Neev came with their drinks....Laksh and Manthan told Neev all these things...

N:(excited)Par kab se Manthan?
M:Pata nahin kab se...But when Laksh asked Sneha for a dance on Prachi's b'day party,I felt bad...I didn't know why...Slowly I realized that I am in love with her...

Meanwhile in the girl's hostel

Sneha and Kt reached their room......Their room mates had gone for dinner...Kt went to take a quick shower since she felt really exhausted after such a long day....After her bath,when Kt came out ,she noticed Sneha standing at the window staring outside...She hadn't even bothered to change her dress...

K:Sneha...
S:(startled)What??Oh..you finished bathing?I didn't see you coming....
K:(smiling)Sneha let me ask you something(comes closer to her)
S:(confused)What?
K:Do you love Manthan?
S:(in a surprised tone)KYA??
K:Sach bataao Sneha...Mujhse chupaane ki koshish mat karo...
S:How do you know...?(smiles and again looks outside the window unable to face Kt)
K:(turns Sneha's head to face her)Woh sab chodo...Tum bataao toh sahi...(smiles)
S:Haan...I think I am in love...Par pata nahin kab se...I've seen Manthan looking at me many times....you know...in a romantic sort of way...At first I felt really awkward...Slowly I also fell in love with him...I couldn't tell you because I didn't know what will you say..I thought you wont believe me,if I say that about him....What do you think?Does he love me..?
K:Toh ye baat hai...Haan...Mujhe bhi aisa lagta hai ki woh tumse bahut pyaar karta hai...Maine bhi aaj notice ki thi,uske aankhon mein tumhare liye pyaar..
S:(shyly turns away and smiles)Sach..??
K:Much!!(laughs)
S:(excitedly)And today at the theatre, he tried to hold my hand...I was startled and took off my hand from his grip...But he told sorry to me afterwards..said that he did it unknowingly...
K:If you love him so much,then why don't you tell it to him...Becharaa Manthan...Usse itna tadpaathi kyun ho?
S:Kehna toh hai...Par pehle usse kehna chahiye...

Sunday morning

The time was 9 am....All the first years were waiting near their two college buses..Kt,Laksh,Sneha,Manthan,Prachi and Neev were standing together away from the others....

Kt:(looking at the watch)They said that we will be leaving at 9 o clock...Where are the
teachers...?
M:What's the hurry Kt?The whole camp is going to be boring...
S:How can we say that its boring without even going...?
M:(suddenly looking at Sneha with a surprised look)Oh....!!
L:At least we are all together....We will rock the camp...Hai na Kt?(putting his arm around her shoulders)
K:(pushing him away)Go away Laksh...The teachers are coming....

T1:Goodmorning all..I am Mrs.Kalpana Kapoor...You can call me Kalpana M'am....I am the head of the Social Service club.All of you come here...Now listen to me...We are going to a village area which is at a distance of 150 km from here and will be camping there for a week...The objective of this camp is to help the villagers by cleaning their surroundings,proper disposal of wastes,conduct some awareness classes about "Enviromental pollution and keeping their surroundings clean"....I am sure you will all enjoy this camp...(to the next teacher)Explain them the rules Mrs.Varma....
T2:Goodmorning..I am Mrs.Suchitra Varma....I will explain the rules to be followed..Firstly,all of you will be seated in the bus in the alphabetical order of your names...You are all coming from various departments and you must get to know each other since you have to work together..So we decided your seating arrangements so that you will not be with your classmates...After reaching the camp also you will be divided into various groups in the order of your names....Each day,different tasks will be alloted to different groups, for which points will be given...At the end of the camp,the group with the highest point will be rewarded...Everybody should get up at 7am in the morning and should work till 7pm in the evening.....There will be breaks for breakfast from 9.30-10.30 am, for lunch from 12.30-1.30pm and for teatime from 4-5pm...Everybody should be in their beds by 10 p.m....All these rules are to be strictly followed by everyone..Now lets start our trip....I will call your names and one by one you will get inside the bus and sit according to your seat number......

The teacher began to call their names and one by one they got inside the first bus..Laksh and Kt were wondering whom they will get seated with when the teacher called Kt's name..Kt looked at the others and got inside the bus and sat in her seat which was near the window....Then the teacher called Laksh's name...Kt was delighted when Laksh came and sat near her...After two other names,Manthan's name was called and he came and sat in the seat in the next row in front of them....Another girl came and sat near Manthan...After sometime that bus got filled...Then the students began to get inside the other bus...Neev, two other boys and Prachi got their seats in the back row of that bus...Sania and Sneha got their seats together..After all of them got inside the buses,they started from their college........

{{RECAP: They are going for the camp.....Laksh,Kt and Manthan are in one bus and Neev,Prachi and Sneha in another...}}

In the bus

L:(sitting a little bit away from Kt, not looking at her) Kt, If I come close to you, you will hit me na...(making his face as if he is afraid of her in a comical way)So I am sitting a little bit away from you..for my safety...(smiles)
K:(punches him on his arms angrily)You...(and laughs seeing Laksh's smiling face)
L:Haan..Haan..Maaro mujhe...Aur maaro..
K:(laughing)Maaroongi main....Mujhe aur cheda toh main zaroor maaroongi...(and looks outside the window smiling)

Laksh looked at her for sometime and thought "How beautiful she is!!"

K:(suddenly turning to him)Tum ne kuch kaha??
L:Nahin toh...Kyun...Tum ne kuch suna...?
K:Nahin...(again looks outside the window)

Laksh looked at her long beautiful hair...He moved closer to her...He could feel the smell of her hair....He inhaled the scent of her hair and closed his eyes...and thought "Hmmmmmm.....Kya khushboo hai!!"....He was sitting there with his eyes closed, lost in the magical scent of her hair when....

K:(turning to him)Laksh....LAKSH(louder)
L:(comes to his senses)Kya??
K:Tum kahan kho gaye the..?
L:Tumhare baalon mein....Nahin, mera matlab hai, tumhaare khayalon mein...
K:(smiling)Acha?Kya soch rahe the meri baarein mein?
L:Yahin...Ki tum kitni badsoorat hai..
K:(frowns)Laksh..Kaho naa...
L:Come on Kt....Maine kaha naa...Main wohi soch raha tha...
K:(hits him)Jaao Laksh...Mujhse baat mat karo...(looks angrily outside the window)
L:(nudging her)Kt....
K:(not looking at him)Kya baat hai?
L:Idhar dekho naa...
K:(still looking out)Kyun dekhoo....
L:Dekho toh sahi....
K:(looks at him with a frown on her face)Kya baat hai?
L:You look more beautiful when you are angry....(smiles)
K:Laksh....Tum bhi naa....(looking into his eyes)

Laksh also looked back into her eyes with his usual breath taking gaze...... 😳 They sat like that for sometime..Their silence was broken by Manthan...

M:(standing at his place and looking at them)Laksh....Kt....Kahan kho gaye tum dono...?(laughs)
K:(comes out of her dreamworld)Oh...Manthan...(smiles)
M:(sitting back and turns to them)I am also there in this bus...Bhool gaye kya..?
L:Manthan...Mujhe iss Kt ke saath nahin baithna...Yeh mujhe bahut tang karti hai....
K:(widening her eyes)Haa....What are you telling Laksh??I am the one who doesn't want to sit with you...Manthan, he is irritating me...
M:I know who is irritating whom....I know Laksh.....Woh hi tumhe tang karega...
L:Kya Manthan...Kabhi toh mera side liya karo yaar....

Manthan and Kt laughed seeing Laksh's face......Someone went and put the music player on...The song "Jab se tere naina" from Saawariya began to play.....Kt imagined Laksh dancing like Ranbir Kapoor...She could see Laksh's mascular body only wearing a towel....She smiled shyly at the thought...After sometime she felt really sleepy...She leaned on to Laksh's shoulders and slept peacefully....Laksh also didn't disturb her till they reached the village....The buses stopped and everybody began to get down.....

L:Kt....
K:(not opening her eyes)Hmmmm....
L:Kt.....If you don't take your head from my shoulders then I wouldn't be able to get down...
K:(opens her eyes)Kya?
L:Come on Kt....Get up....Good morning...How much will you sleep...?Everybody is getting down....
K:(looks around)Oh....We already reached there?
L:Aur nahin toh kya....?(gets up)

Both of them also got down and went to Manthan,Neev,Prachi and Sneha who were standing with the other students......The Teachers came to them and divided them into groups and each group had group leaders....Laksh,Kt and Manthan were put in one group with 7 other students whose leader was Laksh, where as Neev,Prachi were in a group with 8 other students whose leader was Neev, and Sneha,Sania, and 8 other students were in another group whose leader was a boy named Shreyas Khanna.Altogether there were 12 groups......

They were given a tour around the village...It was a beautiful village with lots of greenery...They felt the pleasant breeze which they couldn't feel in the city....There was a beautiful river...There were fields and farmers were very busy ploughing the fields...But a lot of places were not very tidy...All the waste materials were accumulated here and there...There was a pond which required to be cleaned..It was filled with plastic bags and lot of weeds.....The villagers only bothered to clean just the area surrounding their homes and disposed the wastes just outside their boundaries..There was a school which required to be white washed..They also decided to make a small garden in front of the school..Then they reached an old house where no one stayed..They all stood there watching the huge house..It was surrounded with lots of trees...

N:This must have been a beautiful bungalow in the olden days...
S:Hmm...I wonder who lived in here...

Mrs.Kalpana: We all will be staying here for the camp ..But since this place is not fit to live in our fist job is to clean this place and make it livable ..The villagers have also agreed to help us do our jobs......We have to cook our own food ..The cooking job will be given to two of the groups per day for the lunch and dinner respectively ..Breakfast will be prepared by us (looks at the other teacher)..There is no need to prepare the lunch for today since we have brought it along with us...Now the time is 12.30 pm...Come on we shall all go and have our lunch....

They all went and sat at the river side....All of them sat under the shades of some trees which stood at the bank of the river..Neev,Prachi,Laksh,Kt and Sneha were sitting under one of the trees..

K:This camp is really going to be exciting.....
M:I agree with you Kt..Hai na Sneha...(looks at Sneha)
S:(smiling)You were saying before that this camp is going to be boring....
M:Now it seems really interesting...
P:But its bad that we all are in different groups...
S:At least some of you are together..But I am alone in my group and that Sania is also there with me...I didn't like her at all....
L:I would love to come to your group if I could, Sneha..I don't want to be with this Kt...She hits me all the time without any reason...(laughing)
K:No one should believe him...He keeps irritating me all the time....I would rather come to your group Sneha....
N:We believe you Kt...Agar yeh Laksh tumhe aur tang kiya toh humse aake kehna Kt...We will handle him...(smiles to Laksh and winks at him)
K:(smiling at Laksh)Sure Neev.....

After having their lunch they all rested for sometime....Then the time was 1.30 pm..It was time to start their work.Suchitra M'am called them all and asked them to assemble in front of the old house.

Su:It will take a lot of work to clean this place...But if you all work hard it will be done by this evening...Two groups can do the sweeping and cleaning of the surroundings..Aditya Varma's group will clean the front courtyard when Aseem Khan's group can clean the back yard...Bhargav Dutta's group and Deepak Dev's group bring water from the river in buckets and fill the huge tank which is there at the back side...There is no water supply in this house and it can be used by everyone..Farhan Mirza's group and Gautham Shankar's group can sweep the rooms and remove the cobwebs, upstairs.Laksh Virani's group shall go to the kitchen, clean it, bring the necessary ingredients from the market, collect the firewood from the trees around this house and todays dinner should also be prepared by your group in the evening. Don't worry, we have brought a cook and he will give you the instructions for preparing different dishes. The necessary utensils are there in the bus..Neev Shergill's group can go to the bus and get the mattresses and air pillows for everyone and make everyone's beds in the bedrooms..The girls will be sleeping in the upstairs bedrooms and the boys in the downstairs bedrooms..Praveen Mishra's group and Shreyas Khanna's group can do the sweeping and cleaning of the rooms downstairs...Those who clean inside the house have to clean the bedrooms first for allowing Neev Shergill's group to make the beds..Sukhdev Singh and group should take the necessay water and fill the huge barrels in each of the bathrooms upstairs.Williams John and group can take the water to the bath rooms downstairs.

Ka:Now everybody understood what should be done..Now the leaders, you can take your groups and start your work..We shall see which group does their job better..

Laksh called his group members together..He took all of them to the kitchen..The kitchen was big..There were built in stoves which could be burned with firewood.There was a small store room too...There was a chimmeney above..Kt and the 4 girls in the group said that they will sweep and wipe the kitchen clean.Laksh asked 3 of the boys to go and collect the firewood for igniting the stoves.

L:Manthan,Lets go and meet the cook and ask him which all ingredients should we buy and then we shall go to the market and get them.
M:But there will be lot of quantity needed na...We have to prepare food for over hundred people..How will we carry it inside?
L:Don't worry, we shall do some thing about that..

Laksh and Manthan left the kitchen..After some time Kt and the girls finished cleaning the kitchen.The boys had brought the firewood by that time.There was no sign of Laksh and Manthan..So the boys said that they will go and get the utensils from the bus so that they can boil the water for drinking and other cooking purposes..

After some time Laksh and Manthan came back..Both Laksh and Manthan were carrying huge sacks on their back..There were some other men also carrying the other sacks..The men went after Laksh paid them..Laksh and Manthan were really tired after carrying those sacks inside..They were panting hard...They sat down in the kitchen.Kt gave them both water to drink.

L:(after drinking)Thank you Kt..(still panting hard)
K:(sitting beside them)Did you guys carry them all along from the market?
M:(handing the glass to her)No Kt...We called a bullock cart and loaded those sacks in it..We walked along side the cart till it reached the gate...Then we carried those inside from the gate..
K:But where did you get those men?
L:They were standing at the gate..They told that they will help if we paid them...
K:Ok..Now you both rest for sometime....

She went to the other girls and started to open the sacks. They segregated the contents and kept them in the store rooms..The cook came in at that time..He asked them to cut some vegetables for the curry and to make the wheat dough for making rotis..They all started to cut the vegatables as they were told..Laksh and Manthan were cutting the onions..Kt and a girl named Jyothi were preparing the dough with the wheat flour....The others were also peeling or cutting some or other vegetables..Kt looked at Laksh while doing her work..She noticed that his eyes had become watery....Manthan's condition was also the same..She felt pity for them...Laksh's face was fully red and he was wiping his eyes now and then...

K:Laksh ,Manthan should we do the cutting for some time....?
L:(Not looking at her)No..No...We will manage it....(continued to cut)
K:If you want you can mix the dough...Me and Jyothi will do your work...
M:Laksh,Lets do that...
L:No,Manthan if you want you do it....I will do this..
K:Ok Manthan you do my work with Jyothi..I will do yours....

Manthan went to Jyothi and and started doing Kt's work..Kt washed her hands from the tank outside and started to work with Laksh...She started to cut the onions..Kt looked at Laksh..He was looking more cute with his red face and watery eyes...Suddenly...

K:Aah...(closing her eyes)
L:(with a shocked face)What happened Kt?
K:My eyes....Something went inside my eyes..Oooh...
L:Wait let me see...(stops cutting)

Laksh opened her eyes with his hands and blew air into her eyes with his mouth...

Kt:Aah....Laksh you filled my eyes with all those onion juice in your hands...Now my eyes are burning....(tears fell from her eyes)
L:Oh no!! I am so sorry Kt...Come on...I will lead you to the tank..

Laksh led her to the tank which was at the backside of the house....He washed his hands quickly and washed her eyes with his hands....After pouring much water on her eyes she became alright....Laksh was relieved to see her alright....

L:(smiling)Are you fine now?
K:(smiling)Yeah..a little bit....
L:Sorry sweetheart...Now lets go inside..
K:You also wash your face..Its all red and your eyes are watery..

Then Laksh also washed his face...They went inside and resumed their work...After sometime they finished all the cutting work and the cook came to them....The time was 3.30 pm..He said that they could all have some rest till he and the teachers prepared tea for them all.....Every body came out of the kitchen after washing their hands...When Laksh,Kt and Manthan went into the living room, they saw Sneha standing on a stool alone in that room and removing the cobwebs from the walls...She didn't see them..They went to her...

K:Sneha...

Sneha turned on the stool and she slipped and fell right into Manthan's arms who caught her in time...Sneha was looking into Manthan's eyes with a shocked expression on her face...He was smiling to her with his eyes full of love...They remained like that for sometime and Laksh and Kt began to laugh..

M:(looking at Sneha)I love you...
S:What??
M:I love you Sneha....
S:Put me down....

Manthan let her down..He then looked into Sneha's eyes searching for an answer....

S:(still looking into his eyes and smiled )I love you tooo......(and she looked down)

Manthan excitedly scooped her up with his hands and Sneha laughed happily...

Kt and Laksh left them alone and came out of the room...They walked to the river side...They saw their friends collecting water from the river and going back to fill the tank.They began to walk along the bank of the river....They walked a lot of distance and reached among the group of trees which surrounded the old bungalow...There was nobody there...They stopped walking..

L:Oh!So this river also pass through the backside of this house...
K:It is very beautiful...Isn't it Laksh...See the sun's rays which come through the tree tops reflecting in the water...
L:(looks at Kt)But not as beautiful as you....(in a low voice)

Kt who was looking at the river didn't hear him..Laksh went behind her and closed her eyes with one of his hands...

K:(smiling)What is this Laksh?
Laksh took a small packet from his pocket with the other hand and put that hand in front of Kt..He then took his other hand off her eyes....

L:For you Kt.....
K:(looks at Laksh in surprise)What is it Laksh?
L:Open and see...

Kt took the packet from him and opened it...It was a set of green colour glass bangles...It was the same colour of her salwar kameez....She felt so happy and tears came down from her eyes....

L:(feeling bad)What happened Kt?You didn't like it?
K:(turning to him and hugging him tightly)Ohh Laksh....I loved it....Thank you.....
L:(hugging her)I bought it at the market today...I thought that you might like it when I saw them...

Kt raised her face and looked into his eyes with lot of love and passion...He looked into her eyes, and then to her rosy lips....She was still in his arms....He moved his face forward and kissed her lips gently...She didn't resist this time...She also kissed him back with lot of love....He placed one of his hands at the back of her head and his other hand around her waist and kissed even harder....Kt was completely melted in his kiss....

After some time Laksh drew back from the kiss and they looked into each other's eyes......They hugged each other again..... Kt thought that it was the most wonderful feeling in the world as she stood there feeling his heartbeats closer to her chest....
