RN: Destined to be together

Here is my new story about RN full of suspence, romance, relationship and much more….

Preface:

The scene starts with a funeral where almost nobody was around. For the world, a dead body was burning in flames like with the accusation of being a traitor. Mr. Kapoor had tears in his eyes as it wasn't supposed to be this way. His son didn't deserve to die as a traitor. Nobody wanted to attend a traitor's funeral or keep any kind of relation with his family. It made Mr. Kapoor worry about his family's future, and most importantly his daughter's future. His son, Captain Kunal Kapoor (played by Ankur Nayyar) had declared as a traitor on his last mission of protecting the nuclear triggers.

He was on the ground almost on verge of break down when he saw a hope in front of him. On the other side of the fire, four young people in army uniforms stood there saluting the fire. They stood there until the end in same saluting positions with tears in their eyes.

After the funeral, Mr. Kapoor went home to his wife and his daughter Neelu with those four fellows with a new hope that one day Kunal's lost pride and honor would be returned to him.

Six months later…

It was the new day and first year young cadets were coming to the KMA to prove themselves, to become soldiers to serve their own motherland. Faculty members were there to welcome these young cadets. Nothing like this happened in KMA before, and the entire academy was in gossip. The news had spread quickly and in less than an hour, every senior cadet and faculty members were discussing this news.

Kamran was one of the senior cadets and he heard this news through an orderly.

Kamran (to his friends)- Do you know guys, this time academy is welcoming some special cadets….

Sai- I think there is only one special first year cadet coming to KMA and that is sherry gehlot who is Powerful Minister Lala saheb Gehlot's daughter and our Captain Rajveer's sister. I heard that her father is sending her here in care of his brother so she won't embarrass him in front of public. Last month, she made a huge chaos in her drunken state at one minister's party. It was all over the news.

Kamran- Yeah we all know that…. But this news is better than that. You guys remember that six months ago, there was one army captain in NDA who was accused as traitor as he stole some documents and some other important things from KMA and tried to sell to our enemies.

Sai- Yeah, but he was caught and somebody killed him so what about him now?

Kamran- Not about him but he had four protges when he was posted at NDA as a teacher, and they helped him escape when he was in jail without even thinking about consequences as they thought he was not our country's enemy.

Prakash- yeah I remember about them, they were first year cadets….. And one of them was our Captain Naveen's sister.

Kamran- They had been punished for six months and now they are demoted from their previous status. They have to start all over again here as first year cadets.

Sai- I think it would be good punishment for them. They will learn something after all what could have they learned under a traitor.

Prakash- I think you are right but I must think about Captain Naveen as he is an honest & respected officer and his foolish sister helped her traitor mentor escaping.

Sai- Not only him, I also think it would be hard for Captain Rajveer as well because Sherry gehlot is famous for embarrassing her relatives anywhere.

Kamran- Whatever, but I think this semester is going to be fun as Major Niar is also anxious to meet those four cadets.

Abhimanyu, Raj, Naveen, Shalini & Nandini were in Raj's room. All five of them were KMA pass outs from the same batch and really good friends. Naveen & Shalini were in love & engaged to each other and Abhimanyu & Nandini were married.

Naveen- I don't know how I will cope up with her when she arrives.

Shalini- Don't worry, we will handle it. I am sure Naina must have understood her mistake by now and so were her friends. They didn't know better and it wasn't their fault.

Naveen- Yeah they were foolish. They broke 15 serious rules of the military and were sent in reform center for six months by their principal Brigadier Mehra.

Abhi- Don't worry, it will be ok.

Raj- I have been worried about sherry as she became more and more rebellious in past three years. When I saw her a month ago, she was totally different. I don't know where & when the sweet sherry vanished.

Naveen- I also think the same thing happened to Naina after that incident. My sweet little sister turned into a rebellious stubborn person now.

Nandini- Who are the other three Naveen?

Naveen- Cadet Ali beigh, Cadet Amardeep Huda and Cadet Aalekh Sharma.

Abhi- And Sherry and other girl Cadet Pooja ghai will join these four in one batch.

Shalini- Wow so all of them in one batch….

Abhi- It was Major Niar & Brigadier Chandok's order.

Naveen- I hope they all will come on time…. Or they have to face Major Niar's punishment on their first day. Their records aren't that good before………

At the ambala bus stop around 4:00 pm, a girl is standing with her luggage & muttering to herself.

Sherry(to herself): Well, this is it. You guys asked for it. I will be here @ KMA for two years and make your life miserable bhaiya, and I will prove to my father that even KMA can't change me who I became.

Suddenly she hears a voice calling her, so would famous Sherry Gehlot will be able to do that by herself?

She turns around and sees Naina standing behind three guys.

Sherry (surprised) - What are you doing here, naina? And who are these guys?

(Sherry & Naina both know each other as they met twice before with their brothers on holidays.)

Naina- Well we were sent here to complete our training and we were demoted after you know… Anyways, this is Aalekh, Huda & Ali.

Sherry greeted them nicely and she got returned the same gesture from them except Huda who started filtering in his usual style and Sherry looked @ Naina confusingly.

Naina(laughed)- Don't mind Huda, he behaves same with every girl who he meets.

Sherry shook her head and joined them. They were about to go to the academy when they saw another gal confused as she didn't where to go.

It was none other than Cadet Pooja Ghai. Ali asked Pooja warmly if she needed any help and her answer was shocked almost everyone as her language was totally obsessed with Mobile phones.

Ali introduced everyone to Pooja to which Pooja was initially scared as she heard about them but after talking to Ali, she thought they can be good friends and she shouldn't judge someone by rumors.

They all headed to the academy where they reached late and now the gates were closed so Aalekh & Huda came up with an idea to sneak into the academy.

Aalekh used bricks to make steps to cross the wall. Huda was first to go in and he helped sherry along with him and next Ali helped Pooja to cross the wall. Aalekh & Naina were last to cross the wall but when they all ended up on the other side, they were caught by Captain Rajveer, Naveen & Abhimanyu.

Part 1

Recap: Introduction of cadets & teachers in KMA and some past story about Naina & her friends.

Now:

All six of them were caught by their teachers. Pooja's face clearly showed fear of getting punished while Sherry looked bored. Other four didn't seem to have at least bothered at all.

Naveen- It's your first day here, and none of you can even come on time.

Huda (in his usual style)- Wo kya hai na sirji, hum ko yahan pe aane ka koi shauk pehle bhi nahi tha ye to hum ko bheja gaya hai, is liye aa gaye…

Rajveer- Shut up cadet, you should realize that you are talking to your superior officer.

Sherry- And you would know about that a lot, don't you, sir?

Raj looked a little hurt on sherry's comment but sherry didn't bother at all.

Naveen was staring at Naina for an explanation but she wasn't even looked at him once they had arrived. This was very frustrating situation for both Raj & Naveen as their sisters were there for half an hour and they both started to break rules along with her friends. How will they cope up with them for next two years?

Abhimanyu- You guys understand that you will be punished for this, don't you?

Ali- We are really sorry sir for being late and sneaking like this but we didn't have any choice.

Abhi- You should have been here earlier, and that was an obvious choice.

Pooja- But sir, we had a problem in our connection in afternoon and when I checked in the morning, it was just working fine. My call was lost in mid-way.

All three captains looked totally amused & confused at Pooja's explanation. Nobody even understood a word that she was saying.

All cadets smiled as they saw these amused faces, and Aalekh thought he better explain to them.

Aalekh- Wo punjaban ye kehna chahti hai ki, apun logo ki bus ka tire puncture ho gaya tha aur is liye apun logo ko yahan aane main dair ho gayee.

Raj- You should have notified at the academy before if something like that would have happened?

Huda- Agar notified kiya hota to kya aap hamare liye wahan pe gadi bhejte… Nahi na to phir….. Hum ko yahan tak aana tha to aa gaye ab wo 6:00 baje ho ya 11:00 kya fark padta hai.

Naveen- It should matter that you all should be punctual & disciplined in army.

Naina finally spoke with annoyance.

Naina- Then why don't you just announce our punishment and get this over with…. Anyways, you are just wasting our time for last half an hour.

There was so much hate & sarcasm in her voice that anybody could have noticed. Raj just looked at Naina for the first time properly since they had arrived. He was just shocked that how much she was changed in last three years. All of her sweetness, mischief, smiles, everything was gone. She still had those beautiful eyes but there seems to be a lot of sadness in them. He never imagined that when he would meet her again, she will be all together a total new person than what she used to be. Naveen was also shocked to see the sarcasm & anger in her voice.

Abhi thought it would be better if they talked about these things in the morning instead of at middle of night so he ordered everyone to go to their rooms and they will talk later tomorrow.

Everyone just walked off leaving three captains behind.

Abhi (after looking naveen & raj's faces) - Don't worry guys, everything will be all right. They just need some time.

Naveen (sighed)- I hope, it will. Did you see how much hate was there in her voice?

Raj didn't even bother to comment as he was in deep thoughts.

On the other morning, all six of them were at the mess for breakfast when suriji welcomed them warmly as he did with other first year cadets. All cadets liked suriji instantly as he cared for them without judging anything.

They all were eating breakfast when Dr. Shalini & Cap. Nandini walked in. As soon as they both saw Naina & Sherry, they walked over to them.

Shalini (cheerfully)- Hi, Naina, sherry, how are you guys?

Naina- Hi bha…., and then she realized that shalini was now one of her teacher here so she shouldn't call her 'bhabhi'. Hello ma'am, how are you?

Shalini- It's ok, you can call me what you used to call me….

Naina- Well this is academy and you are my teacher....... Anyways, this is aalekh, huda, pooja & ali. And guys this is Dr. Shalini & Cap. Nandini, and well you both know sherry…

Everyone greeted them warmly and sherry definitely was happy to see both of them here as they were two nice ladies.

Sherry was about say something nice to them but when she saw Raj coming in she changed her tone to sarcasm.

Sherry- Nice to meet you ma'am and eventually we have to show some respects as you are our teachers and we can't talk to our superior officers like they were our friends as some teachers pointed out yesterday.

Shalini & Nandini were confused but Raj knew that Sherry was talking about him. He just shook his head and went to get some breakfast which was noticed by others too.

Naina didn't know why but she didn't like to see disappointment or hurt in Raj's eyes, but she didn't say anything as it was between him & sherry and she was here only to finish her training.

The first day was mainly taken by administrative duties. After the breakfast, BC gave everyone welcome lecture which explained many disciplinary actions, rules and punishments if they were broken. MC also gave a short speech about how training would be and all first year cadets thought he was trying to scare cadets instead of welcoming them.

In the afternoon, all six cadets were called in BC's office where MC was present along with Naveen, Rajveer & Abhimanyu.

BC- Cadets, we have come to know that you broke one rule of the academy last night, is that true?

Ali- Yes sir and we are really very sorry about that.

MC- Sorry doesn't replace your every mistake, cadet beigh.

Nobody liked his comment as they all knew what he was referring to.

BC (sternly) - All six of you have to jog on mountain for three hours in evening and that's your punishment. This time it's only a small punishment, but if this happens again, I will have to take some hard disciplinary actions on you.

After coming out of the room, Pooja & sherry's faces were pale as they got such punishments on their first day. But for other four, it was nothing new.

Pooja- Oy, wo muchchad, hamare connection main gadbad kyon kar raha hai? Aisa humne kaunsa us ko miss call de diya jo hamari battery gul karne ko peeche pada hai…..

Huda- Oy punjaban, tu kya mobile kha ke paida hui thi. Normal insaan ki tarah baat nahi kar sakti kya.

Sherry- She will talk normal if you would have been…..

Everyone laughed at sherry's comments and Huda started to flirt with her in his usual style and everyone left to start their punishment.

On the other side, Naveen & Raj were worried as cadets got such tough exercise on their first day and it was all due to some stupid orderly who informed Major Niar about the incident. They were sure that four of them would easily finish their exercise but for Pooja & Sherry it was first time and they weren't used to that.

Naveen & Abhi left to work on his report and Raj decided to go on the mountain to check on cadets.

Part 2

Recap: Raj, Naveen & Abhimanyu catch cadets and try to reason with them but none of them are affected by that. Sherry's cold behavior towards Raj and Naina's cold behavior toward Naveen. BC & MC give punishment to cadets for being late and breaking academy's rule.

Now:

Pooja & Sherry had difficulty of jogging on the mountain as they weren't used to exercise like that. All of them were jogging but Pooja & Sherry seem to be fallen behind so Huda & Ali went slow to keep up with Sherry & Pooja. On the other hand, Aalekh took out Huda's mobile and called Neelu to talk to her so he can wait for others as he was way ahead of those four cadets. Naina decided to go ahead as she didn't want to invade Aalekh's privacy and needed to clear her mind & relax, and jogging was the best option to do that for her.

Naina reached the mountain in only one hour and she knew that she at least has to wait two more hours for her friends, so she moved up to sit somewhere to catch her breath. After few minutes, she heard someone from other direction coming there and she turned around and was surprised to see the person.

She was surprised to see Raj standing there looking at her. Raj smiled at her and sat on the same bench at some distance where she was sitting. They both were quiet for moment as none of them knew what they should talk about or where to start? Naina finally broke her silence.

"So that muchchad sent you to keep an eye on us; or was it some one else?" Naina asked Raj sarcastically.

"So how has your first day at KMA been so far?" Raj asked her with smile ignoring her comment.

"Well, let's see. I had to see you guys and that BC and MC. We got punishment on our first day and forgot to mention some comments about our past when we met some of the senior cadets. Just meeting sherry, pooja, suriji, Shalini & Nandini was good feeling despite of all." Naina answered him .

"So you guys had a very busy day huh……" Raj commented still with the same smile he had earlier.

Naina was surprised and bit annoyed as none of her comments seemed to work on Raj.

"Why exactly are you here? What do you want?" Naina finally asked him very annoyed.

"Nothing; I just thought I should catch up with you and that's why I am here." Raj answered coolly with the same smile.

"Stop smiling, and tell me what do you want or I will punch you because you are making me angry with that cute smile." Naina fumed at him.

"So you still think that my smile is cute and enough to annoy you." Raj asked her, "Well, at least you remember something about me good…"

Naina just bit her lips at his comment and she was amazed at still today, Raj's smile can make her all tension go away and annoy her just like before when they were friends.

"Actually I am here because I want to know why you are here at KMA? And I very well know that something is up…." Raj told her very calmly….

Naina was almost shocked at his answer and looked uncomfortable…

Raj- Well, I will go as your friends will be here soon but I need my answer and soon………

Raj left from there smiling and Naina knew that she had to tell Raj the truth or he will find out some other way…

She was in her thoughts when all other made their way at the mountain. Sherry & Pooja were complaining how unfair that punishment was. Huda tried to flirt with Sherry again and Sherry was annoyed at him. Aalekh took Huda away from her before she starts beating him up. Naina smiled at them and suddenly she looked at Ali and she was bit surprised.

Ali was looking at Pooja with such an affectionate look while Pooja was stretching her self on the bench to relax. Naina never saw Ali looking at any girl before and that with such affection. He was always shy around girls. Naina remembered when she first joined NDA, and it took Ali three months to talk to Naina comfortably as friend.

She just smiled at him and looked away to join Aalekh & Huda to stop their arguing about something.

After half an hour, they went back to their hostels and on the way, they chatted away laughing and joking with each other. All of them went straight to sleep after dinner and fortunately nobody was around when they ate as they were the last at dinner due to their punishment.

The other morning, Naina woke up early due to her habit and got ready. She saw that Pooja and Sherry were still sleeping. (Naina, Pooja & sherry are room mates and Aalekh, Huda and Ali are room mates) She checked her watch as there was only half an hour left before breakfast so she woke both sherry and pooja up. They both reluctantly got out of their beds to get ready for the day.

Naina told them to meet her & boys in the mess in half an hour and she went to get some fresh air as she still had half an hour. She saw that Aalekh was also heading out from boy's hostel as their hostel were opposite from each other.

Aalekh- Good morning naina, ready for left right left?

Naina- Good morning, always… It's nothing new… Where is Huda & Ali?

Aalekh- Ali is doing his prayers and Huda is as usual late… I just woke him up… what about sherry and Pooja…

Naina- Looks like Huda has some company… I just woke them up… Going for a walk as usual?

Aalekh- Yeah, let's go…

They both went started walking toward the lake as it was their routine. Besides all other exercises, they usually jogged alternate days and walk for half an hour alternate days every morning to keep themselves fit and fresh.

Naina- How is Neelu? And uncle & aunty?

Aalekh- They are doing well… Now they are all settled in Delhi comfortably for time being and Neelu is busy with her medical studies. But I think they still need time to get over their grief… I think it will take a lot time before they…… (he didn't finish his sentence as he knew Naina would understand)

Naina- We all need time Aalekh, and we will get the truth out….

Aalekh- Sometimes I dream, that nothing happened and when I will wake up everyone will around me happy including Kunal sir…

They were both by the lake now and Naina's eyes were moist as Aalekh said that to her.

Naina (with tears in her eyes) - I sometimes think that too… He was the best teacher anyone could have. We were lucky to have him as our mentor & teacher…

Aalekh saw that now naina was crying and he hugged her lightly in brotherly way to calm her down.

Aalekh- Don't worry, we will bring his honor back.

After few minutes, they parted and sat there for another five minutes before going back to the mess. But they didn't know that two people were looking at them when they were having conversation.

It was Raj & Naveen who observed Aalekh & Naina earlier.

Naveen (sighed)- Raj, why was she crying?

Raj- I don't know but Cadet Aalekh was a bit emotional too, so I think it had to do with something…… he didn't finish the sentence as he knew Naveen would understand.

Naveen- You know sometimes I am jealous of Aalekh & Ali.

Raj (surprised & little shocked)- Why? What did they do to you?

Naveen- Nothing yaar, I should be happy that they both take care of Naina as their sister. They both are protective of her since she started at NDA. She always used to tell me how both of them scared the boys who asked Naina on a date in the academy.

Raj- Then you should be more relaxed as you don't have to look after her all the time…

Naveen- I know but sometimes, I think Naina grew apart from me when she joined NDA. She has grown up and now she doesn't come to me for little advices for things like she used to.

Raj- She had to grown up one day… And she doesn't come to you for little things, it doesn't mean she doesn't love you. You are still her elder brother and she knows she can come to you whenever she is in problem… I know that she is angry at you but she still loves you just like you do.

Naveen- I guess you are right well but I still worry you know… And I don't have to explain to you as you are always worried about sherry too.

Raj – well sherry is not mature as Naina and she is two years younger than Naina too.

Naveen- Great defense, so if she was same age naina then you wouldn't worry about her.

Raj- It's not like that yaar… Ok I will not give you any advice any more.

Naveen – Ok let's go, I have to eat my breakfast with shalu and then I have class in half an hour with senior cadets. What about you?

Raj- I have only one class with first year cadets at last in the evening after shalini's class, but I have to go to the airport to pick up Dr. Mishra who is appointed here as psychiatrist.

Naveen- Why do we need a psychiatrist in the academy?

Raj- I don't know, and I asked BC about that too when he requested me to pick her up, and he was unsure about this too. But it's higher order from defense ministry so we have to follow.

Naveen- ok then I will see you in the evening.

They both left from there to their routine work.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile, in the mess, first year cadets finished their breakfast and headed toward their first class which was music class of Abhimanyu's.

Abhi knew that it would be a huge task to teach these cadets as he already met a bunch of them but he had his style to make them his friends and that's what he exactly going to do.

He decided to become their friend instead of teacher and may be this way; he can connect to them better.

The class was set with music instruments and he was waiting for cadets to arrive. Soon all cadets started to come in the class and he saw that six of them were at last to come as they had no interest what so ever to come to the class.

Abhi introduced himself and then he told everyone to call by his name if they want him to be their friend and others can call him "Captain" Or "Sir" whatever they liked.

He told some cadets to play instrument and in a minute he was fed up how bad the cadets were at this. Huda and sherry were seated next to each other.

Huda- ye geet gata banjara, yahan academy main kya kar raha hai aur music class main nahi padai jati wo to bahar khulle aasmaan ke neeche hota hai hawaon ke saath; hai na beautiful?

Sherry- well at some point you are right that music should play outside but this is academy and I don't think yahan pe aisa kuch hoga!!!

Huda- So at least you think, I am right well Huda ka charm hi hai aisa….

Sherry glared at him and Aalekh & Pooja laughed as they are near enough to hear his comments.

Aalekh- Nautanki sala, kabhi nahi sudhrega ye…

Abhi saw Huda passing comments and he asked him to play some instrument.

Huda came forward and picked up a clarinet and played it so efficiently and beautifully that every one was impressed. Abhi was really impressed at his talent and all girls were looking at him dreamily.

After he was done, Abhi clapped and so did the others to admire Huda's talent.

Abhi- I didn't know you could play this well, cadet huda?

Huda- I had a great teacher who taught me that if you focus your all concentration to achieve something, you will surely achieve it.

Abhi- Great advice, who gave it to you?

Huda- My mentor, Captain Kunal Kapoor…

Everyone was silent at his comment and Ali, Naina & Aalekh looked at Huda proudly. Abhi told others to try on the instruments and he was amazed at how Aalekh, Ali, Naina, Pooja & Sherry were great at different instruments. He realized that this team of six cadets was his team of the band he was looking for. They all were great at music.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Raj was at the airport waiting for Dr. Mishra to come and he was shocked when he saw that Dr. Mishra was a lady and very beautiful one…

Dr. Mishra- Are you from KMA?

Raj- Captain Rajveer singh shekawat.

Dr. Mishra- Nice to meet you, My name is Ritu Mishra…

Raj- I didn't know Dr. Mishra was a lady doctor.

Ritu- Sorry to disappoint you…

Raj- Oh no not at all, it's just I was thinking how such a beautiful lady like you decided to join psychiatry, you should be a model. You are really beautiful.

Ritu- Thanks for compliment captain, but I am good at being psychiatrist. Shall we go?

Raj- You are welcome and yeah sure as I have a class in the evening.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~They both arrived at KMA and surely enough all male cadets were looking at Ritu as she was really beautiful in sari and light make-up. Ritu went to meet BC and Raj went to his room to finish up his lecture material for the day.

At lunch, everyone was eating their lunch quietly after Lolitaji's boring lecture. Aalekh & Ali were eating their lunch and other four went to their rooms for some work. Some senior cadets, Kamran, sai & Prakash came to the mess, and they saw Aalekh & Ali sitting there.

Kamran pulled a chair at next table and Sai & Prakash sat opposite to him.

Kamran- Kya zamana aa gaya hai, pehle KMA India ki best military academy hua karti thi ab ye traitor ki madad karne wale cadets ka reform center ban gaya hai.
