D: Angad….go and leave Kripa at Harshini's place….Its getting late….she said sternely……Kripa felt embarrassed….If dadi would have came a moment before….it would have been a disaster……
A: Yeah dadi…..He looked at her…..and knew…dadi wants to talk to him….He told Kripa to go and sit in the car…He will come in a min….
Kripa nodded, went to dadi….touched her feet and went out…..As soon as she went out…dadi looked at Angad angrily….Angad looked down guiltily…..
D: Angad I looked at two of u for 3-4 days now….I saw the attraction …..But Angad you have made ur decision…and now u are engaged to Mishti and soon u will be married to her….Don't u think…its unfair to both Kripa and Mishti…what u are doing? Just think about it…This is ur life….make decisions…very carefully………….Come and meet me tomorrow……..she said angrily…
A: Nodded…looked down…but never said a word….
D: Now go…Kripa is waiting for u….
Angad went and drove away…They both drove in silence
K: I am sorry…
A: For what…he asked surprised…If any one he should apolozize to her…But he knew what happened in the garden when he apolozized about kissing her…She felt hurt…and he could read it clearly on her face….it was written all over…..He knew…Kripa was attracted to him as he was to her….but knew there was no fairy tale ending to it…He has to do what he had promised…That is marry Mishti…..
K: For hurting ur feelings when we were in the garden…She said taking him out of his thought….
A: No…its ok…It's true anyways….I don't have any right …
K: Angad…
A: I told its ok Kripa…..he said little angrily….
K: The tone in which he said….made Kripa shiver….she knew that it meant….. topic closed….so she sat back in silence once more….Then she looked up and was confused……….Instead of driving her to Harshini's place…he drove her some where else……She tried asking hims where they were going….but he just said they will reach there destination soon…They drove for around 45 min….Kripa getting tensed on her seat by every min….Her hands folded in tight fist….Angad stopped a car in front of a beautiful house…..It was small but…looked cozy…..He stepped out of the car…came to passenger seat and opened the door…Kripa came out and slowly walked towards the house….
K: Whose house is this Angad? And why did u bring me here…? She was angry at Angad and herself ….with Angad because he was playing with her feelings…when he knows he is engaged…..And with herself…for being happy that she was not alone but with him and for wanting to spend some more time with him……….
A: This is my house…..common let's go inside…..
K: Angad this is not right….Leave me at harshini's house…its getting late…
A:Here talk to harshini and tell her u will be late…
K: I will do no such thing…Lets go…and she started going in the car….Angad grabbed her hand……
A: Please Kripa….for me once…..
Kripa sighed and took the phone and called harshini….Then she followed Angad,,,,,
A: Opening the door….You are the 1 st person I bought here…………Kripa…
K: Why? She wishpered…why me? Mishty is your love….why not her….Angad grabbed her…and pinned her against the wall…..stunned Kripa looked at Angad……………
A: Mishty is not the love of my life……..She never was….
K: But you are marrying her…she wishpered….
A: His head dropped till it rested just near her ears, One hand was on the wall for support and the other on her arm….Then he wishpered back………She was just a friend….But Khanna enterprise suffered a huge loss last year…the shares were falling…..Aliya's future….Kartik and Dad's hard work were going down the drain……..At that time Mishti's parents came and promised 50 % shares to Dad…which were mishty's , if I marry her…because she loved me a lot…That shares will help increase the share prices and Khanna enterprise..would rise again….thats the only reason I am marrying her……..
Stunned Kripa looked at him………..She doesn't know what to speak……..Angad still had his hands around her arms……….which moved in free circles….tingling Kripa…making it impossible for her to move even a bit…she was transfixed by the sensation, he was making her feel….
Few minutes later she got her strength back ….
K: Why are u telling me all this Angad…she asked slowly…
A: I don't know …I wanted u to know….its just that…I did not want u t..to…have any misunderstandings….
K: Misunderstandings about what….Angad….I know that u are getting married to Mishti….you have made a right decision……I am proud of u….Mishty is a very nice girl…You will be happy with her…..I know you will…She wishpered…
Slowly Angad….removed his hands…..and turned around….his eyes filled with tears………He did not understand these feelings himself….how could he explain to her…..how could he make her understand….if he himself did not understand any of these…..But he did not want to hurt Kripa….And some thing was warning him and telling him that he has hurt Kripa already……
K: Can u tell me one thing Angad…..Why did u bring me here…..
A: I don't know…I just wanted to share it with u….He sighed………I don't know any thing….Kripa…I am confused as hell……..You bring out some deep feelings…which I never felt before….some yearnings..which I don't know what they are for…..
K: Then I am honoured….But …this is not my right….This is mishty's, so u should bring her here….I am just your friend…But she …she is going to be ur soul mate…your life long partner….No women likes to share that right…….It should be her u share ur happiness and sorrow with….Lets go…saying this she started to go out….Then turned and again told him….and the feelings u feel are just because we met after a long time…and we are not kids any more…they will be gone in few days…..and she started leaving…
A: No Kripa…..Please don't go…Just spend few min with me here….I will always cherish it for the rest of my life……for our friendship sake………Please……..
Kripa could not say no….she too wanted the same thing…to spend some time with him….so that she could live with his memories rest of her life……she agreed and Angad showed her the house………They sat on the patio…there were no chairs…so they sat on the floor..….cool November air….makes Kripa shiver…..Angad took out his jacket and wrapped it around Kripa…They sat there quietly……Angad…lay down…looking at the sky one hand below his head and other just near Kripa…itching to touch her….but not daring it…and Kripa was siting with her hands around her legs…lost in thoughts….
She felt her back aching and rubbed it…There was another hand which came up to rub the muscles…..Kripa looked at Angad…and he looked at her…..Intensity in his eyes made her removed her hands…and let Angad massage her back…..after some time…..his hands fell….and she noticed him getting up…She was already missing his touch..his hands on her…she ached for him to touch her…hug her..…But then strong arms captured her shoulders again…and once again Angad started massaging her…..Kripa tensed for few seconds and then Slowly…relaxed under his touch……..After a long time…She felt him….remove her hairs from her back and then felt his wet lips there………..she shivered……….and leaned back…Her breathing heavy………..She felt his touch all the way to the side of her neck…….and then at her ears………..she leaned behind…on his chest…His hands…came to circle her waist and his face dropped to her shoulder……kissing every bare spot he could find….Kripa could take no more…she turned around………and hugged him…kissing him on his ear and neck too…Both shivered with the current they were spreading through one another…..She then raised her head and Angad kissed her lips and nibbled….her lower lips…..Then he kissed her cheeks and eyes and nose …..hugging her tightly….shivering violently…….Kripa got frightened with their intimacy………..No…this was wrong…This was so wrong…what have they done…This should never have happened….How can they face mishty now…They need to go….She slowly removed her arms from him…..feeling guilty…
Angad sensed her parting….and removed his arms…..They moved aside and sat on either corner…Angad too felt guilty for betraying Mishti….But…he never felt this attraction to her…never ached to touch like he did for Kripa….Never felt like sharing any thing with her like he felt with Kripa….Kripa got up and looked at Angad….He looked at her and got the clue for going back…He got up silently and walked inside….Angad..closed the doors and windows…then locked the main door…and they drove quietly towards harshini's house….Kripa tried to meditate….to stop thinking about what happened at Angad's house and she was asleep by the time they reached….Kripa was sleeping peacefully… Angad touched her shoulder gently and shook her…..Kripa opened her eyes…and looked at Angad and then outside….she was there…
A: Kripa, Angad said quietly before she could get down…..I looked at you tonight, and I, and I, don't know what happened over there…..but there u were beautiful, innocent…..looking so wonderful….that I …..
K: Angad..Kripa stopped him from talking any further…..
A: God, I mean, I'm sitting here with my best friend in the world, and my palms are sweating. I've known you forever, but I feel like I'm seeing you for the first time Kripa. What's happening between us?
K: I don't know, Angad…. But this is just not right .
A:Kripa I know that u are also attracted to me, as I am to u……I thought this was what you wanted. I mean...
K: Well, I was wrong. I mean, I can't do this….You are engaged to some one else….I can't just step in and dress up and play princess with u. You and I both know this isn't me.I can't betray some one else trust…..and I know neither can u…Your parents ur family are all counting on u…..
A:Yeah u are right… Of course
K: Its true that I am attracted to u….she wishpered slowly….. I thought this was what I wanted today….for you to see me as beautiful. But the truth is, I don't want that at all Angad. I want you to look at me and see the person you've always known and realize that what we have is so much more incredible than some passing physical attraction because you know what Angad? We are best friends Angad…..But the reality is that u are going to get married soon and you can't betray ur soul mate this way……..and ur duty towards ur family should be ur first concern…..
A: Kripa this is all new and we should talk about it. No matter what happens. We can't go back to the way things were.
K:Angad, you've had a lifetime to process your feelings for me. And now u have choosed ur partner…. And I can't spend the rest of my life trying to figure my feelings for u….(she lied…telling him this….because she did not want him to know…..how deep her feelings go for him)….knowing that I was the reason for Mishti's broken heart…or ur family's failure…..What uncle has decided must be for you all only…….
A: Kripa don't walk away from this.
K: Angad, I have to…..Please let me go………she whispered…..
A: Ok….Kripa…you win…go…..i won't stop u…..you are right…..you always are right……and I will fulfil my duty as a son…..he said slowly…..Kripa looked at him with tears in her eyes….Angad did not look at her…but the opposite side outside the window…..far away in his own thoughts…..She mumbled a quick bye .and without any more words she ran inside………….
It was mid night….Kripa opened the gift wrap…and saw the small beautiful Album….It was so thoughtful of Prithvi…to bring it….Then She opened the Album….The date of the engagement written….on the first page…with Angad's and Mishti's photo… She touched Angad's face…and then moved to other page….There was their group photo…she, harshini, prithvi, angad and mishti…together….when she got introduced to Mishti….then there were family photos of Khanna…and Bose….Then one of Mishti and Angad as well as All the siblings…..including kartik, aliyah and Prithvi….and last but not least….Angad and Mishti exchanging rings…..Kripa's eyes filled with tears……when Harshini came back …she saw light in Kripa's room and went inside…Kripa was looking outside the window….Harshini came and stood by her…and saw the Album in Kripa's hands….she took it from her and looked at the album….
H: Can I tell u some thing Kripa…
K: Sure…go ahead….
H: Angad loves u….
Startled Kripa looked at her…
K: No he dosen't
H: Yes he does…
K: Yeah may be…after all I am his best friend….
H: U know what I am talking about Kripa
K: Yeah ….I know….
They were quite…for some time….
K: May be u are right…..Then she tells Harshini why he is marrying Mishti….
H; Then its good time for u to tell him that u love him and u loved him since you were 14…..
K: No Harshini…He is doing it for his family….I am his friend..and his family cared for me as their own…I can't do that…not now not ever….
H: What about u? What about ur love?
K: It will be there in my heart for ever…..
H: But Angad doesn't love Mishty…..he loves u…
K: If he does he will forget about me soon enough…..Mishty is a nice girl and loves Angad…Her love will make him forget me….She said this with tears in her eyes….
H: And if he doesn't…
K: He is engaged to her and getting married in a week Harshini….he has already choosen his path…long before…now he has to go with it…He can't betray Mishty and his family now…….
H: But Kripa this is not right…
K: Life doesn't give us everything we want ….right…If we would have made for eachother…then he would have come to me…..he would have loved me and married me…But he is not…
H: But we can try….
K: No…we can't change the way life takes us always…...let it be Harshini….I will always cherish his love in my heart…..
Harshini has tears in her eyes….She hugged Kripa….said good night and went away….
Next day Angad went to the outhouse to meet dadi…as she asked him to….Dadi was having her breakfast….When he came…he asked him to sit…and served him breakfast as well…They were both silent for long time……
D: Angad if u ever hurt Kripa, then u will have to answer to me……..I have always thought her as my grand daughter…..What u are doing to her……..is not correct……choose ur path before it is too late Angad…I will not tell u with whom u should spend ur life…But remember one thing…this will affect ur whole life…..I never thought that the reason for u to marry Mishti is good enough….but today u are engaged to her and in a week u will be married…You choose the path Angad…and one thing in the relation is must……trust….If u loose some one's trust….then u loose ur respect and where there is no trust and respect there is no love…….So don't do some thing u will regret ur whole life…Chiise ur path care fully…even if it is hardest one…Because if u believe that ur decision is right one then no one can stop u from reaching the destination….No obstacle can come ur way…because u would not give up with out a fight….to reach ur goal…..But by doing that don't hurt anyone…..Keep their feelings in ur mind…..and go forward…. …..Kripa is a grand daughter of my and ur grand dad's friend who have helped us in every possible way they could…..when we were in need…..and I don't want her to get hurt……due to us….not now ….not ever…..do u get it…..
Angad just looked down and nodded…He did not have any words to say….Life has bought him to a cross road…where he is simply unable to make a right decision as which path he should go……..
Kripa went to meet Prithvi next day in a coffee shop where they decided to meet……….
Kripa told him about she going back……..Prithvi is stunned…..Then his eyes widen……
P: You love him……..You love Angad……..
Kripa looked stunned at him…….She never thought any one would know………
P: Kripa….does Angad know….
K: Shook her head…My love is one sided…..she said firmly…..and I have to go…..
P: I am sorry Kripa….You are a good person….I hope some day u find some one who will love u as much as u desrve…..
Kripa smiled sadly at him……..
P: Hey I would love u…but the problem is I don't want to settle just yet….he said with a wink…to lighten her mood….
Kripa laughed……they left the subject of Angad and had a nice hour together…then left……
Two days pass by…Kripa avoided…being with Angad….all the time….She told Naina about her going to Nainital….Naina wanted her to stay till wedding…but then told her to go taking a promise from Kripa………Kripa promiseds to come for the wedding, keeping her fingers crossed…..she asked for forgiveness to Naina in her mind……….She bid good bye to Mishty, Prithvi and Khanna's……Then she went to Dadi…….
Dadi had tears in her eyes….She knew that when she will go away today….she would not ever come back……..It would be a long wait…..She kissed her forehead and hugged her…..She loved Kripa very much…..Her wish to make her Angad's bride would remain a dream for ever…..She closed her eyes and asked for forgiveness to Kripa from every one's behalf……..in her mind…..She was sure….that Kripa loves Angad….and has come to meet only him…and now she was even sure that she knew about the marriage promise too……..She could see Kripa's pain…she was hurting badly…..Dadi had tried to talk to Dilip about it a lot…They had lots of arguments…and then she had moved to out house…..Dadi could do nothing till Angad himself agreed to it…without being stubborn…..It was his life….and he has to solve his own problems…interfering would result into nothing but more heart ache she thought….. Dadi…knew..her turmoil…and did not stop her…She gave her blessings when Kripa touched her feet and then she went away…..with out a word….because….they had said every thing they had to with there tears…..
Angad…asked if he can come to drop her at airport and Kripa could not say no…She had no intention of ever returning to his Marriage or any time else…So this would be the last time she would see him… and Next morning…..Kripa was all set to go…Angad came at 7 sharp…as their flights were at 8.30….He loaded hers and Harshini's luggage in silence…..He was also in a bad shape…It hurt to see Kripa leaving…And this will be for ever..…..She was so dear to him…..They drove in silence,,,,.At the airport,,,Harshini…went to check in….leaving Kripa and Angad….alone for few min……
A: Call once u reach there….
K: Nodded…she could not meet his eyes…so she never looked up…
A: Kripa …I will miss u…………..
K: No you won't …u will have a wonderful life partner in ur life….
A: But it won't be u……..
K: hmmmm…I need to go….she said weakly…...Angad wanted to hug Kripa once again…but she never looked up….So he asked…
A: Can I have one hug please……..
Kripa looked up….her eyes full of tears..and his full of pain….She hugged him and he hugged her back…..
A: Take care of ur self for me…….ok….And don't be careless on the road….he wishpered in her ear……
Kripa nodded and then she was gone……..leaving Angad standing there with teary eyes…………….He was about to go…when he saw Harshini running towards him….
She came…gasping for breathe…..gave him a gift package….
