Part hundred eleven

Parashar house was a havoc with everyone running around making the last arrangements for the sangeet function in the evening. It was the first time that a wedding was happening at such a short notice and things were happening day after day. Kamya and Abhay were really excited. Saumya was just dwelled most of the time in thoughts of Sujal and the thing he was going to do tomorrow. Pari was really excited as it was her wedding and finally she would be able to to be with Saumya for ever. Kripa was still disturbed about the dream she had about Angad and really wanted to know if he was alright. She did hate the guy but she didn't ever wish for him to die. Angad was desperate for the wedding to be over because then he'll be able to meet Kripa again in college and then this time he was going to tell her the whole truth no matter what. Akshat was enjoying seeing Kripa confiding in him so much and being a fool enough to trust him. It was a treat for him as Angad was loosing against him for the first time. Sujal was distraught by Saumya's cold behvaiour and that morning he got an even bigger shock.

Kashish: Sujal tum jaante ho ke aaj kya horaha hai?

Sujal didn't answer and just looked at Kashish. He knew very well that Saumya was getting married but he was surprised that she was telling him about it.

Kashish: I think you should look at this notice.

She hands him an envelope which has court papers in them. He browses through them in horror and can't believe his eyes. Saumya had sent him a notice putting charges against S.G enterprises for borrowing huge amounts of money from Parashar enterprises and investing it but no down payment had been made. Now the money had to be returned or else he'll be forced to gain possession of the house as well as the company and get it auctioned to get his money.

Kashish: dekhlee oskee asliyat. Tumne osko apne bhai kee tarha rakha or aakhir me to bhoke diya na osne tumhaare peet pe chura?

He still doesn't say anything to her and takes his phone out to call Saumya and ask him what is all this.

Saumya was busy in the haldi ceremony but he saw his phone ringing next to him so he picked it up without checking who called him.

Sujal: Yeh sab kya horaha hai Saumya?

Saumya: Well mere shaadi hai if you didn't know to oskee rasam to hoti hee hai

Sujal: Bakwaas band kar. Me is notice ke bare me baat karaha hu

Saumya stands up after hearing that and walks away from the crowd so no one can hear him.

Saumya: oh to tujhe wo milgaya. Ha wo notice maine hee bheja hai

Sujal: yeh kya karaha hai tu Saumya? Jaanta bhi hai iska matlab. Tune mujhe notice bheja hai or wo bhi apni company ke liye

Saumya: uh uh abhi tak wo meri company huwi nahi hai Sujal lekin agar kal tak teree company ne mujhe paise nahi deeye to phir zaroor hojaehgee. Wo saare papers parlena jisme sab kuch likha hai ke kitne or kese S.G enterprises owes money to Parshar enterprises. Maine kaha tha ke her wo ehsaan ka hisaab loonga jo maine tujhpe kiya hai.

It was as if lightening stuck Sujal as the word ehsaan was heart piercing. Up till now had he always seen Sujal as someone to do favours to and not because he wanted to do it out of love for him.

Sujal: ehsaan? Tune itne saalo se jo mere liye kiya wo sab ek ehsaan tha.

Saumya: ehsaan to me tujhpe bachpan se karta aaraha hu. Maine tujhe apne ghar me mere saath rehne diya wo mera ehsaan tha. Phir maine tujhe apna bhai or dost banaya wo bhi mera ehsaan tha warna tujh jaise looser se koun dosti karta. Phir maine tujhpe taras khaake teree beemaari me teree madad kee to wo bhi ehsaan hee huwa na. Lekin tune oske badle me mujhe kya diya huh? Apni biwi ke mooh se gaaliya or phir itnee baree badnaami. Sujal: aaj tune yeh kehkar sab kuch saaf kardiya Saumya. Aaj saaree baate mujhe saaf nazar aarahee hai or samjh me bhi aarahee hai.

Saumya: good ke tujhe jaldi se samjh me aagaya sab kuch. Ab tu janata hai ke tujhe kya karna hai. Kal tak ka waqt hai tumhaare paas Mr. Sujal Garewal.

He shut the phone before Sujal could say anything to him. All those words he just used against Sujal were behaving like poison and he had a sudden urge to go and barf. He quickly ran inside the house and rushed in the bathroom and threw up. Then he washed his face and saw his blood shot eyes and kept staring at himself for long his anger building up inside. He was angry at himself for saying all that. Things he had never imagined he would ever say to Sujal he had so coldly blurted out. His anger was reaching his brain and at an instance he picked up a vase lying on the basin counter and threw it violently across the bathroom against the big bathroom mirror. It shattered into pieces. The broken mirror resembled his life right then, shattered into fragments which never can be joined together again.

Sujal sat thinking about everything Saumya said to him. For some reason he had this nagging feeling that something was wrong and Saumya wasn't doing all this because he wanted to but because he had to. His gaze fell on the calendar and that's when he realised what date it was tomorrow. It was 15^th aug, the date of his wedding anniversary. He remembered what he had told Saumya a year ago that he wanted him to marry also on the same date after a year so then they'll celebrate together with Sujal and Kashish marrying again too.

Sujal: mere dost aaj ek saal ke baad wahi din agaya or tune mera waada bhi pura kiya. Bus farak itna hai ke me apna waada pura nahi karpaoonga. Ab to shayad kabhi nahi. Kabhi nahi.

Sangeet at Thaapar house

All the guests had arrived for the sangeet and the bride and groom were sitting next to each other with others singing and dancing. Pari could notice how disturbed type Saumya looked and she sensed something was defitnitely wrong with him. She put her hand over his.

Pari: kya huwa aap ko? Tabiyat to theek hai na aapki?

Saumya: me theek hu Pari bus….bus sab kuch itnee jaldi horaha hai osse bus thora thak gaya hu

Pari: yeh thakaan kee wajese pareshaani nahi hai or me jaantee hu aapko. Ab bataye kya baat hai?

Saumya: tumhe pata hai kal kya hai?

Pari: (links her hand with his and rests head on shoulder)kal hamaree shaadi hai

Saumya: kal kee date yaad hai tumhe

Pari: ha wo 15^th aug…(she pauses as she remembers its resemblance) oh my God maine aisa socha bhi nahi. Kal to…to isliye aap….

Saumya: yaad hai Pari kaise maine or Sujal ne yeh baat te kee thee ke hum dono bhi osee date pe shaadi karenge ek saal ke baad take hum chaaro hamesha saath me celebrate karsake per dekho aaj jis insaan ko mere kareeb hona chaheeye ose hee dhoore bhejne ka intezaam karaha hoo.

Pari: wo aapse dhoore kabhi jaahee nahi sakte or yeh aap bhi acchi tarhase jaante hai

Just then Adi came over and dragged both of them on the dance floor. Both of them were hesitant and plus Saumya wasn't feeling well as it is but still he went for everyone else. The music was hype and everyone were dancing and enjoying themselves. All of a sudden the room began spinning around in front of Saumya's eyes as if he was sitting on a fast rollercoaster. He stopped and began blinking once or twice to get the vision right but soon he began seeing black dots in front of him and before he knew it he passed out with a thud on the floor stunning everyone. Pari stood with her palms covering her mouth with shock whilst Adi and Rohit quickly went beside the unconscious Saumya and tried waking him up.

Kamya: kya huwa ise?

Pari: pata nahi achanak inko chakkar aaya or wo ghirgaye.

Adi and Rohit carried Saumya inside the bedroom whilst Prince called the doctor immediately. All the family members were inside the room whilst the doctor examined him and the doctor told them it was nothing serious. He was just tired and apparently hadn't eaten anything the whole day due to which he gained weakness. The doctor told him he'll gain consciousness soon after which he must be forced to eat something and take it easy.

Everyone blew a breather but Pari and Kamya both were really worried because both of them knew the real reason behind his ill health. Prince and Rani had to entertain the guests until they all left after eating, Adi and Rohit were told to go home as tomorrow they had to prepare everything. Kripa insisted on staying but Kamya forced her to go home too as she still hadn't recovered properly herself. She left with Abhay. Now the only two remaining in the room with Saumya were Pari and Kamya. Pari sat beside a sleeping Saumya brushing her fingers through his hair and trickle of tears flowing out.

Pari: pata nahi kya karungee inka. Yeh baat itnee aage bar chukee hai ke ab pata nahi Saumya kee zindagee kabhi pehle jesee hogi bhi ke nahi

Kamya: tum fikar mat karo Pari sab theek hojaaehga. Mujhe pura vishawaas hai ke tum apne pyaar se Saumya ko sambhaalo gee.

Kamya patted Pari's head and then both just sat there waiting for Saumya to gain consciousness.

After an hour or so he did gain consciousness and felt his heavy head. Then he saw Pari sleeping with her head rested on the bed next to her. He put his hand over her head which made her stir and she woke up surprised to see him awake. Then she gave a smile.

Saumya: I'm sorry Pari aaj ke function me to khushiya honee chaheeye thee per mere wajese

Pari: doctor ne aapko aaraam karne ke liye kaha hai to koi baat mat kijye.

Then she extends her hand out towards the tray of food she had brought for him.

Pari: yeh lijye ab thora sa khana khaalijye kyu ke me jaantee hu aap ne subhe se kuch nahi khaaya

She helps him sit up and then feeds him some food with her own hands. He just simply stares at her amazed at how calm she was about everything. Even though she should be upset she was only concerned about him. He held her hand midway.

Saumya: Pari tum itnee acchi kyu ho? I don't deserve you at all

Pari: kis bewacoof ne kaha yeh aapse huh? Agar koi khush naseeb hai to wo mein hu jo mujhe aap jaisa jeevan saathee mila hai.

Saumya: Me tumhaare pyaar ke kaabil nahi Pari. Dekho na aaj bhi jab hamaree shaadi hone waali hai me tumhe dukh ke ilawa…

Pari: (covers his mouth with her hand) bus or kuch mat bolye. Mujhe aapse koi shiyakat nahi Saumya to please apne aapko kos na band kijye. Isme aapkee koi galati nahi or me acchi tarhaase jaantee hu ke aap pe kya beet rahee hai. Me bus khush hu is baat se ke aap mere saath apna dukh baate hai.

she continued feeding him and he ate without a word this time. Howe ver he couldn't stop the tears coming out his eyes. Pari wiped them away and then hugged him to console him.

Pari: aap jaante hai aap rote huwe bilkul acche nahi lagte

That brought a smile on his face and then he pulled out from her and wiped his tears.

Pari: dekha kitna asaan hai muskuraana. Dekhye me yeh nahi kehtee ke apna ghum bhulaadijye bus ose aise chupaadeejye. Mama aapko lekar bohat pareshaan hai jaante hai aap? Kehrahee thee ke naajaane dono bhai behen ko kya huwa hai ek jaisee harkate karahe hai. Waha Kripa na to khaatee hai na to peetee hai or naahi kush rehtee hai or aap yaha nato khaate peetee hai or naahi khush rehte hai. Aise zindagee to nahi chaltee na Saumya.

Saumya: theek kehrahee ho tum Pari. Maine mama ko kasam dee thee ke me har tarha se khush rehnee kee koshish karunga or ab me yeh kasam zaroor nibhaoonga, zaroor nibhaaoonga.

Pari was glad to hear that and then she finished feeding him the last morsel and then she put the tray away.

Saumya: ek minute Pari, me jaanta hu ke tumne bhi abhi tak kuch nahi khaaya or saara khaana mujhe hee khilaadaala?

Pari: aap ko khaana khilaanese hee mera pait bhar gaya

Saumya: yeh theek baat nahi Pari. Me abhi jaake tumhaare liye khaana laata hu

Pari: kaha jaarahe hai aap, doctor ne aapko utne se mana kiya hai. Dekhye ma khaana khaa chukee hu aap meri fikar na kare

Saumya knew she was lying just to make him feel better but he couldn't do anything further so she had to leave it for then.

Pari: jaante hai aaj aap ke bina sangeet me koi maza hee nahi tha. Adi or Rohit bhi chup the

Saumya: kamaal hai, Rohit ka me samajh sakta hu lekin Adi or koi dhamaal masti na kare hairaani kee baat hai

Pari: aapko yaad hai Sujal ke sangeet me kya huwa tha. Hum logo ne kya milke hungama kiya tha…

FLASHBACK

It was Sujal's sangeet function and all the guests had arrived at the Khanna house. CG, Veena and Akshat had just arrived as a formality as they weren't really happy with this alliance as the Khanna's were below in the status structure. It didn't really make a difference to Sujal if they were there or not as his family was already there – Abhay, Kamya and Saumya.

Kripa was unable to attend Sujal's wedding because she had gone on vacation with her friends. She had tried to come but the flights were heavily booked.

Kashish was brought down by Pari and Mahek and as soon as Sujal saw her he was mesmerized by her beauty. She looked like an angel come down from heaven just for him. Saumya was sitting next to him and he was going through the same reactions for Pari. She was wearing a white silk lengha choli dress, embellished in silver/red sequins all over the front which made her look like the bride instead. He couldn't help but notice how the whole wedding atmosphere had brought this glow over her face making her stand out from everyone. He couldn't keep his desires in control and really had an urge to snipe her away from everyone and just spend the night loving her. But he had to control it, thwy weren't even engaged yet.

The women came and sat down on the dias opposite the men and they also couldn't stop admiring the men who looked extremely handsome that night. Sujal in a light cream colour kurta, gap collar, potli buttons with embroidery all over the front in resham, zari and abla work. Saumya in a maroon colour kurta with self printed fabric. Chinese collar with embroidery on button panel, small booties on front using zardozi, resham and tikki work. For the first few mintues they just kept giving each other glances and stealing a laugh here and there. Adi noticed it was awfully quiet around and it was meant to be a sangeet function so he went and next to Saumya and whispered somethings in his ear. After he finished Saumya gave an evil grin and then walked off with him.

After a while Ishaana came over to Pari and whispered some things to her which alarmed her but then she also giggled and walked off with her. Sujal and Kashish were just too involved in staring in each other's eyes to notice their friends walking off mysteriously.

All of a sudden there was this drum roll which got everyone's attention as well as Sujal and Kashish. They all turned towards where it was coming from and were not surprised to find Adi and Rohit doing the honours.

Adi: ladies and gentlemen may we have your attention. Aaj do aise logo ka Milan hone jaarahahe jo log naahi sirf ek dujhe ke bina rehnahi sakte balke ek dujhe ke bina koi bhi kaam nahi karsakte. Inka pyaar itna gehra hai ke wo zamaane ke saare Romeo Juliet, Heer Ranjha or Laila majnu ko peeche chorde. Aaj is moke pe hum sab ne socha ke kyu na in do pyaar karne waalo kee kahani puree dunya ko sunai jai.

Sujal glared at Adi in astonishment as he couldn't believe what they were doing. Knowing them he knew they were up to some mischief and he couldn't bare to see them do that especially in front of his in laws. He tried to stop them but they didn't realy listen.

Adi: so peich hai Sujal or Kashish kee kahani hum kee zubaani.

The lights went dim and soon the spot lights were shone on the stage and smoke was thrown around. Then Khushi walked out dressed in the same clothes as Kashish had done the first day Sujal had seen her in college. Then Rohit, Saumya and Pari sat on a bench looking over and as soon as Rohit saw Khushi he began drooling over her. Then he began wolf whistling and dancing around like a fool in front of her. Then he advanced towards her and handed her a white rose. She took it and walked on further. Then he gave her a yellow rose. She took it and walked on further. Then he licked his lips and gave her a red rose then stood there with a goofy smile when she took it out of his hands. Then she scrunched the rose and threw it on his face. Gave him a list of insults, pulled his hair like a child and then walked off leaving him with mouth half opened.

The audience laughed whilst Sujal slapped his forehead in embarrassment. The guys as feared had manipulated the real situation to make it more entertaining.

Then the music began and a group of boys came out with Rohit and Saumya leading and a group of girls came out against them with Khushi and Pari leading.

Chorus: jaha wo jaaenge, wahi hum jaaenge

the guys kept teasing the girls and then they stood opposite each other.

Rohit: khud ko kya samjhti hai

They continued teasing the girls making them really annoyed. They pulled their hair and threw stuff at them. Then Khushi really came into form and stepped forward making Rohit go back.

Hamse hogaya, ab iska saamna

Aao chakhaade maza

Khud ko kya samjhta hai itna akar ta hai

The girls had an upper hand and were paying back the guys.

Khushi: humko deta hai ghulaab

The girls began beating the guys up who ran to save their lives.

Khushi: kya isko yeh hosh hai

Now the guys had had enough especially Rohit. He convinced all the guys to step forward and take charge. They kept advancing towards the girls and had a change in attitude.

Rohit: humse aakhe chaar karo

Choro jhagra pyaar karo

Hey yaaro ke hum yaar hai

Larna bekaar hai

Khushi: eh uljhan me yeh par gaye

Shayad humse darr gaye

daave karte pyaar ke dekho dil haar ke

Rohit: pyaar kee yeh reet hai

Haar bhi jeet hai

Sabse barke preet hai

Lagjaa gale dilruba.

It seemed to work as those words melted Khushi and she was impressed by Rohit's charm and then she accepted the red rose from him and gave a shy smile. Rohit didn't hesitate and pulled her in his embrace and gave her a big and loud smooch receiving whistles from the rest of the gang. Then the curtain came down with the audience clapping a Sujal pouting with anger.

Adi: to yeh tha Sujal aur Kashish ka pehla takraana. Pehlee hee mulaqaat me izhaar huwa, inkaar huwa or phir aakhir me ikraar bhi ho hee gaya. Ab jab yeh do is had tak pohoch to gaye lekin abhi bhi Sujal soch me tha ke kahi Kashish ne ose apna dost maana ke nahi.

Saumya came out with Pari on the otherside. He was drooling over her again.

Adi: wo Kashish ke ird gird ghoomta rehta tha yahi umeed me ke kahi ose phirse wo chance miljaaye or wo phirse Kashish ko kiss karsake. Phir ek din…

Saumya jumped up in front of Pari and stared at her as if she was an antique piece.

Saumya: kehdo ke tum mere dil me rahoge

Kehdo ke tum mujhse dosti karoge

Pari: dekhungee,sochungee kal parso kuch kahoongee

Saumya: kehdo ke tum mere dil me rahoge

Kehdo ke tum mujhse dosti karoge

She agrees in the end and Saumya pulls Pari in his tight embrace and gives her a loud smooch just like Rohit had done before. The curtain again went down leaving the audience pretty entertained. Sujal felt like killing all of them for making fun of him but he had to refrain himself from doing so.

Adi: to aakhir khaar dono kee dosti ho hee gayee per apne Sujal se kaha intezaar hota tha. Wo to kashish ko patane ke naye naye tarkeibe sochta tha din bhar din. Kabhi oskee saheliyo ko bhej deta tha ya kabhi oske apno dosto ko bhagaadeta tha.

They replayed the scene of their Khandala trip where Sujal had tried to talk to Kashish but his friends had teased him so much that he didn't get a chance.

Saumya: kyu aaj kal neend kam khwaab ziada

Lagta khuda ka koi naik iraada hai

Kal tha fakir aaj dil shezaada hai

Lagta khuda ka koi naik irada hai

He began dancing around Pari

Saumya: kya mujhe pyaar hai ya, kaisa khumaar hai ya

Kya mujhe pyaar hai ya, kaisa khumaar hai ya…

He continued trying to get her attention and finally he managed to get her away and again he held her tight and gave her a loud smooch. Now Sujal had become really embarrassed and cursed under his breath that he'll catch each one of them and kill them all. At the moment he sat with his face coverd with his hand…
