The Strange Path

RECAP: This little walk to the dining hall seemed the longest journey of his life, at this moment. He again felt left out between the two but still decided to ignore this sudden feeling and continued on walking.

Chapter: 16

The cold winds shrilled outside the window. The white and grey clouds all have lined up covering the light blue sky, even hiding the sun behind them. It was making the day darker as it almost seemed evening time, hiding the fact that it was not even noon yet. All of them were seated on their respective chairs around the dining table, having a quite breakfast. Aarzo glanced at the opened window at the corner of the dining room. Heavy winds were rushing inside the room through the only opened window. Seeing the weather, one could assume that it was about to rain and this thought brought a smile at the corner of her lips. She remembered getting wet in the rain………..her dad scolding her for getting wet……then making hot soup for her daughter so that she wouldn't catch a cold— some memories are just priceless.

Now all were anxiously waiting for Bade pa, after finishing breakfast, to tell what they were all here for. "Aaru?", someone whispered, making Aarzo come out of the flashes of the good, old memories. Aarzo was puzzled as to who whispered. She looked at her right where Ali was sitting then to her left where Zohaib was sitting. Before she could think or do anything else the person elbowed her, whispering her name again. She knew in an instant who was it!!! She gave an annoyed look to Ali. "What is it?", she whispered back, with aggravation. "Why are we here?.....I mean what are we here for…….you know what I mean……right?", said a rather confused Ali. Aarzo just shrugged her shoulders in return, indicating that she doesn't know it either. "He is not going to scold us…..right?", he asked again, with nervousness. Seeing his tensed face, Aarzo started giggling with her hand on her mouth so that others wouldn't notice. "Don't laugh! I am really serious!", he said trying hard not to show any anxiousness.

"I know you all are wondering why have I called you here……so let me start without wasting anymore time…..", Bade pa announced and the rest became quite all of a sudden, creating a pin drop silence in the room. "Aarzo?", Bade pa addressed her and Aarzo quickly straightened herself……. "Yes..yess Bade pa", she replied, feeling a bit nervous. Bade pa noticed the nervousness on her face and gave her a quick but affectionate smile and this was enough to remove all the tension from Aarzo. "From the past few days, I have been thinking of something and I have even discussed it with your Badi chachi and Adeel Uncle….", Bade pa continued, grabbing everyone's attention once again. "Aarzo beta, I am really worried about you and I have a thought in my mind but the final decision will be yours only. I want you to move with us to London!", Bade pa finally said, sighing a cold breath. The only people found surprised were the youngsters; the five cousins. "But….", Aarzo said, with all the courage she could capture at that moment. Before she could continue, Bade pa cut her off in between saying, "Aarzo, bacha please try to understand that we all are really worried for you. We care about your future and this is the best decision I could make for you. I can't let you live alone in this house, in this big city. You know that London will be as good as here….may be even better. I know it will be hard for you to settle in a new city, a new country but we all are there to help you out.", Bade pa explained, putting all his thoughts at once, trying his best to agree Aarzo. "I don't know Bade pa….This all is just so sudden….I mean I never thought about it….can I have some time to think about it?", Aarzo managed to say something at last. It was all just happening so fast for her, surprisingly fast.
"I understand beta…Take your time and that is why I have told you that the final decision will be yours only. Think about it but don't stress yourself too much. I and your Badi chachi are going out for some important work. I don't know how long will it take us but in between take care of yourself, okay?", he informed, getting up from his chair, followed by Badi chachi. Aarzo just nodded her head and went straight to her room in hurry as if running away from the new situation she is caught in.

"Papa? Why didn't you tell us about this before? I mean you just surprised us all today….", Zohaib said, accompanying his parents to the door, as the two were ready to leave. "I just want to inform her about it today so that she can take it all easily, chunk by chunk, so that she won't have to digest everything at the same time. I want Aarzo to prepare her mind for this change first. Help her out in this decision okay? Just make her understand.", Bade pa said as he rushed outside, towards the car with Badi chachi. Zohaib was even more proud of his dad today.




First thoughts on the big announcement:

AARZO:
This unexpected news has startled her the most. "How can I move from here? This is my home town, my birth place. All the memories of my dad and my mom are present in this house. They have made it a 'home' from a house.", she thought sitting in her cold room, shivering. The hot tears of fury rolled down her eyes. "How can they ask me to leave my home? It's my only home. How can they even think about moving me away from my only shelter? The only memories I have with my dad? The only memory I have of my parents together is THIS HOUSE!!!! MY HOME!!!!", she shouted in her mind. It was the first time she was angry on her Bade pa. The only thing mattered to her as of now was that how can that person insist her on leaving her home. How heartless is that person? She was in rage with that person, not caring that it was her own Bade pa……. It was just a cruel individual for her.

ALI:
It seemed that Ali was the happiest person on this earth, at this moment. He jumped with joy in his room but quickly sat on his bed as he saw Zohaib staring strangely at him. "Wow!! I can't believe Aaru is going to move to London with us. It would be so fun with her. She is my closest friend…..no, she is my best friend….. Aaru please say 'yes' quickly. I can't wait!!! I will show you around the whole London, all places. Aarzo you will love London! Bade pa you are the best!", he thanked Bade pa in his heart for giving such an enlightening news. His heart was also jumping with joy, filled with excitement and enthusiasm.

ZOHAIB:
He quietly sat on his bed, with the laptop in his lap. But only he knew how hard it was for him to even keep his eyes on the screen. He was equally happy with the sudden news. "Aarzo, you should be thankful to papa for making such a decision. It is truly the best for you. My papa cares so much for everyone." He was sure that whatever his Papa has decided has to be right!! Because it IS always right! "I know Aarzo that your future will be brightened if you come with us to London…..there are more and better opportunities available……" His thoughts trailed down his mind. However, he quickly preserved himself and tried his best to focus on the computer screen infront of him.

SHIZA:
Well you can say that she was on cloud nine as she danced and jumped with joy like a free bird fleeing away towards the world of happiness. She just wanted this news to be the gateway to all their happiness after the death of their beloved, "Minhal Chachu". "I am so happy Aaru!! I am so happy that I can't even describe it in words…… Thanks Papa for taking such a decision. If you wouldn't have discussed it today than I would surely have done it because I also want Aarzo to move to London with us and live in our home. I will always take care of her. She will never feel lonely in London…..", with that Shiza was lost in the future plans……

AFIA:
Afia was quietly sitting at one corner of the dining hall, beside the opened window, lost in a deep thought, "I don't know if this is the right decision for Aaru. She has been through a lot in the past few weeks. It's an almost perfect decision according to me…..but I don't know if Aaru wants to move to London? If she is ready to leave this house?" She fixed her glasses; the cold wind was brushing hardly on her face. Afia was shivering but for some reason her heart argued with her mind to stay in the same place. This current spot was providing a sudden feel of relaxation to her heart and soul, in this mystifying situation.



A storm was on its way………one in the sky and the other in the hearts of these five cousins cum friends………

Phew!!! The part ended!😆 I wanted to post it on the weekend but it wasn't complete ……..Anyways, how did you all find this part? As you can see the little surprise is out. Bade pa wants Aarzo to move with them to London and then you saw everyone's reaction on this……now the real question is what will be Aarzo's answer? Will she ever agree to this decision? Will anyone be able to change her mind and make her think the other way? Until then……keep reading/suggesting etc😛…..and most of all COMMENT Please!! 😳

the part is really beautiful. the thaughts of all the four were beautifully potrayed and every one had taken anouncement in his own way. i know arzoo was feeling bad on occasion. but her bade pa is not at fault he was just concerened but the point is he couldnt explain it properly. any way it was abrilliant part. 😳 and please dont stop writing. i love ur fiction. 😳

i liked the part very much 😃 👏 i was out of town due to some important work and i read it today itself its really good part. i hope arzoo should go with them. cont soon

aww...nature thanks so much for the wonderful comments.....am very glad u liked the part.😳..i know that her bade pa isn't at fault but i just wanted to show the first reactions of all of them and as u can see aarzo wasn't happy with this decision but don't worry it's just her first reaction....things might change😉..u neva know.....don't worry i won't stop writing 😃 but for that i need everyone's comments to encourage me to write further.😛....lol i think the comment got too long.....hehe....
