Part 1
"NO!, get away from the building", Jai screams.
"My wife is in there, i have to go get her Jai", the man yells back. Though his voice does not carry all the way over the noise, rukus, fire, screams for help.
"Look at the building, its a disaster, i'm sorry she can't be alive", Jai pleads.
"If you want to come you can, i'm going to get her", the man responds and runs towards the building.
"Wait, De.." Jai tries to finish. But his voice gets buried underneath the sound of the bomb. Blasting whatever was left of the building.
"NO!", Jai screams awakening from his bed.
Suddenly the lights turn on. A woman goes and opens the windows. She turns around, her hair is tied into a bun, her face is glowing with morning happiness, along with tension from her husband's sudden awakening. She is wearing a yellow sari, that Jai had gifted her 42 years from now, on this very day. The first day they had met. But that is another story, that seems like only a dream to her.
"Mr.Walia, aap teek tho hoi", Bani walks with hesitation but love. In her hands is a cup of coffee.
"Huh?, hain mai teek hoon", Jai answers, rubbing the sweat off his forehead.
"Phir se, woh boorah sapna", Bani asks handing him the cup of tea.
"HUH? nahin, merai kaphrai baar kadhlao, mujhe office kailee dhair howrhee hai", he says getting up.
"Teek, hai aj jaldhi aajoa", Bani says.
"Kyun?", he asks back.
"Woh, kuch bhi nahin aise", she says with hurt in her voice. Bani can't believe he forgot.
"Teek hai, koshish karongah", Jai says and goes in to the washroom.
"Patha nahin, aise kyun laghtha hai kai aap khabhi es din koi nahin bhool sakthai, tho aaj kyun", bani questiones herself.
