Chp 3- A Short insight into our mystery stranger's life

Office hours are over but the light in the boss's cabin is still on, a timid looking secretary tiptoes into the room and waits for her boss to react. When he remains silent and ignores her presence she mutters '' Excusme sir but arent you going home''

It looks like Mr. stranger has been aroused from his thoughts as he looks up at her and laugh because she's literally shaking because of him. He orders her to leave and then dials a number.He is directly connected to Mr.Walias secretary and is told to call on later because Mr.Walia's in a meeting. He smiles again and returns to his thoughts. Something unusual has occupied his mind, its those eyes those innocent yet piercing eyes he had seen earlier.The face had left an everlasting impression on his mind because for the first time since the last two years he had found depth in someones eyes

He had seen her at the bus stop. It had been raining lightly and she had her hand held out to capture those rain drops. Her bangles tinkled together as she played with the rain, the simplicity with which she did it all captured his heart. He was sitting in his car but managed to get a glimpse of her face which strangely reminded him of someone in his past they were so similar yet so different. What was it so special about her that had even made him forget for a second that love was a forbidden thought

Perhaps this was not the night to be absorbed in deep thoughts as his cell phone rang. It was the same person he had been trying to reach earlier Mr. Walia. With some reluctance he answered the call with the caller bombarding him with sudden questions. ''Have you finalised the site? are the builders ready? why couldnt you call me earlier?'' Such interrogation wasnt anything new and after answering them all he said it last with such subtlelty ''Dad i just called to say that you once said you always wanted to be the first to wish me on my birthday well you havent wished me so far so i'll oblige myself''

Before Mr.Walia had a chance to respond to this Rajeev(yes its finally him) ended the call got up locked his cabin and headed for a lonely night at home with no one to celebrate his birthday just as he liked it.
