Maya rarely ever called Adi bhai, because she didn't like it, but she knew that Adi loved if and whenever she used it she got whatever she wanted!

Adi: fine, Maya.

When Maya disappeared, Raj turned to look at Adi

Adi: when she tells me, I'll explain it to you; in the meantime, can we please go to sleep?

Raj: K, will talk to you in the morning, and please try to find out what's bothering Maya?

Adi: I'll try my best, anyway good night

Raj: ya good night

Raj: makes his way down to his room and Adi goes towards Maya's room

Adi: knock-knock

Maya looks up while she is reading in bed

Maya: come in Adi

Adi walks in and sits down by the foot of her bed

Maya: What d'you want?

Adi: no, ahh I wanted to ask you…. why did you want Raj to stay in the loft and not upstairs?

Maya (thinks): I can't tell u the truth Adi, but what do I say instead?

Maya: Adi, I didn't want him to stay up here because I don't trust him.

Adi: but Maya, I thought…you like….

Maya: I know Adi…. but I still can't believe you thought it was okay for him to stay here in our house?

Adi: but why? What's wrong with it?

Maya: Adi, If Raj is here; it's making it easier for me to forgive him!

Adi: don't you want to forgive him?

Maya: of course I do Adi, it's just I don't want to do it easily, I want to him to suffer!

Adi: ok, so you're just doing this for fun?

Maya: basically…

Adi: so does that mean you still like him?

Maya: Adi? Ummmm good night?

Adi: fine fine, I understand, you won't tell me, it's ok, and I'll just tell Raj that you're just playing with his head.

Adi gets up to leave and Maya stops him by grabbing his hand.

Maya: wait, wait wait!!!! I do like him, but please please don't tell him anything!!

Adi: ok, our sibling loyalty comes before my friend's loyalty.

Maya smiles: Thanx Adi!! Good night.

Adi leaves her bedroom and she turns off her light and tries to go to sleep but she can't stop thinking about "him"

Next Morning

Arushi awoke to the chirping of the birds outside her bedroom window. She stretches and lazily gets out of bed. Her arm reaches towards her glasses and she puts them on and goes downstairs to the kitchen. She pours out Frosted Flakes into a cereal bowl and tops it over with milk. Just as she is sitting down to watch her favorite morning talk show, her cell phone rings, making Arushi spill all her milk all over her satin pj's

Arushi: ewwwww cold cold cold!!! Who the hell is calling me right now???

She runs upstairs to her bedroom and finds her cell plugged in the charger, ringing away, flashing with Maya's name. In moment's all of Arushi's anger seems to evaporate.

Arushi: hello? What happened? Did it work? Tell me tell me!!!

Maya laughs: ok ok hold on! Raj is totally confused at my changed behavior and ummmm it seems to have worked, oh and ya Adi knows now!

Arushi: What?? Why did you tell Adi?

Maya: I couldn't keep it in any longer, I had to tell someone, so would you rather I told Raj?

Arushi: no! Don't ever make that mistake!!

Maya: I know, I know, calm down! Anyway when's your lunch date with Adi?

Arushi: he hasn't called yet…

Maya: awww are you eagerly awaiting his phone call??

Arushi: No Maya! Anyway what are you doing today?

Maya: today? I don't know, probably unpacking or decorating the house again….

Arushi: No way, that's too boring!! How about we both go shopping?

Maya: shopping?

Arushi: ya, it would be the first time in such a long time right?

Maya: ya, I'll ask Adi too!

Arushi: why?

Maya: three reasons; 1. You can finally meet Raj 2.Adi can meet you again without coming up with some lame excuse! And lastly so I can see Raj without acting mean to him.

Arushi laughs: fine fine! I get it, will you guys come to pick me up or should I come?

Maya: gimme a sec

Arushi hears some rustling in the background, and some voices.

Maya: Adi can I go shopping today?

Adi: today? I thought we were gong to unpack and re-decorate?

Raj comes upstairs from his room wearing sweatpants and an oversize shirt.

Maya looks at him and he heart skips a beat. She finally snaps out of it when she remembers that Arushi's still on the phone

Maya: pls Adi? Arushi wants to go and….

Adi: Arushi?

Maya smiles at Adi's reaction to Arushi's name. Arushi could hear from the phone what Adi's reaction was and she slightly smiled.

Maya: so can I please go?

Adi: where you guys going?

Maya puts the phone to her ear and she asks Arushi where she wants to go, Arushi says Waterfront Mall.

Maya: umm Arushi said she wants to go to Waterfront.

Adi: Oh ya I need to buy something from there

Maya: oh really? What do you need to get? I can get for you.

Adi: uhh no, you can't get it, because it's a present for you!

Maya raises her eyebrow

Maya: really for me? How sweet! K so you're coming with us?

Adi: ya definitely. Hey Raj, do you want to come too? Waterfront's a really nice mall to look at!

Maya: (thinks) WOW Adi needs a lot of help in convincing people to do things.

Raj looks at Maya, in hopes of reading her facial expression, but unfortunately for him, Maya had a blank look in her face. Taking that as an opportunity he says yes.

Maya put the phone back to her ear and went up to her room.

Maya: ok Aru; we'll come pick you up.

Arushi: we'll?

Maya: ya they both want to tag along.

Aru: ok what time should I be ready?

Maya: how about 11:30am?

Arushi: ok see you then!

Maya: bye

After Arushi hung up with Maya, she finished off her cereal, in her milk-stained pj's and then she went up to her room to make her bed. Later she got out her clothes, which were dark blue "almost black" jeans with a cream-colored tank top and a black v-neck sweater on top. She went for a shower, wore her clothes, and put in her contacts. Then she proceeded to her hair, which was presently in a wavy position because of her braids that she did in her hair last night. She attempted to put it in a ponytail, which worked exceptionally well. She checked her reflection and thought that something was missing. So she let down her hair again and pinched her bangs and brought them out in front, and then she pulled up the rest of her hair into a ponytail. "Perfect" she thought.

Over at the Sharma residence, Maya was going crazy on deciding what to wear; she finally decided on her naturally blue jeans, and green tank top, with her blue short sleeve top over the tank. For her hair, she thought back to when she and Raj were together and he had told her that her hair looked better when it was loose and straight. So she straightened some of the little kinks in her hair, then she took a small blue butterfly clip and pulled back her half of her hair and clawed it in with the clip. Adi knocked on Maya's closed door

Adi: can I come in?

Maya: one sec Adi.

She quickly gathers all the clothes on her bed and dumps them in her closet.

Maya: come in

Adi comes in, and the minute he looks at Maya….

Adi: awww my little sister looks so pretty.

Maya blushes: Adi stop it! Anyway you don't look that bad yourself!

Adi is wearing carpenter jeans with an American eagle black and white shirt.

Adi: thanks; I came to ask you if you were ready yet.

Maya: ya, I'm ready, are you and umm Raj?

Adi: Raj huh? Ya we're both ready. I came to ask you if you still had that CD.

Maya puzzled: CD? Which one?

Adi: the one with all those slow songs?

Maya: slow songs? Do you mean the romantic songs one?

Adi: ya that's the one.

Maya: why do you want it? When I made it, you hated it!!!

Adi: a person's choice and opinion can change right?

Maya: but yours? And towards romantic songs? Kind of weird, don't you think?

Adi: oh Maya, shut up anyway, it's already 11:00am, we should leave soon right?

Maya: definitely, Arushi's a real pain in the ass when you're late!

Adi: (thinks) I shall keep that in mind for the future!

Adi: k well when you're totally ready, just come down k?

Maya: ya, I'll be right down, just need some jewelry.

Adi: ok hurry.

Adi leaves her room as she puts on her heart necklace, with a pair of diamond hoops.

She makes her way downstairs to see Raj standing by the stairs, dressed in jeans and a red short sleeve shirt.
He doesn't look up at her and so she also avoids eye contact and goes and sits in the BMW in the back seat, behind the passenger seat. Raj and Adi come and Adi sits in the driver's seat while Raj makes his way to the passenger seat.

Adi: (thinks) Oh great, I wanted Arushi to sit next to me!

Adi: Maya did you find the CD?

Maya: ya here one second.

She looks around in her purse and takes out the CD. Adi takes it and puts in it. The first song plays.

Adi turned it down, when they reached Arushi's house. He honked once and she came out. She looked like an angel to Adi; he was so lost that Raj had to shake him to tell him to open the locks for her. Finally he came out of his little daydream and opened the locks.

Arushi: Hi Maya, Hi Raj, and you must Raj?

Raj: ya Hi Arushi, right?

Arushi: right, nice to finally meet you, oww

Maya had nudged Arushi with her elbow to tell her to shut up.

Maya: Adi, let's go, and please change the song.

Adi skips to the next song, which is,

Throughout the song Adi kept stealing glances at Arushi through the rearview mirror. When Waterfront Mall arrived, Adi immediately got out of the car and turned around to open the door for Arushi. Arushi smiled at Adi and got out of the car. Maya noticed their eye to eye conversation and smiled. Raj once again saw Maya smile and so he tried to take advantage of the opportunity and opened Maya's door for her, she smiled and said thanks, but then she slammed the door and poor Raj's finger got stuck in the door. Raj bit his tongue in pain and resisted from swearing in front of Maya and Arushi. Maya quickly opened the door and Raj's finger was throbbing red and bleeding like crazy. Maya quickly looked in her bag and found a scarf and so she wrapped his finger tightly in the scarf and he just kept looking at her, thinking this was the Maya he knew, not the one she was pretending to be.

Adi: oh god Raj, it's really bleeding, we should get you to the hospital.

Maya: Adi I'll take him in a taxi.

Arushi: are you sure?

Maya: trust me, its not that serious.

They both go to the entrance of the mall where there are taxi's lined up. They quickly get in one and head to the hospital.

Adi: so we're all alone!

Arushi: ya we are…. why are you scared?

Adi: oh yes…definitely………I'm soooo scared….

Arushi: Shut up Adi anyway let's go in the mall okay?

Adi: let's go

They both go into the mall, and pass the Fashion Fiesta store, and Arushi goes inside and Adi follows her like a little puppy. Arushi goes around and looks through each rack, while Adi just keeps staring at her, when he thinks she's not looking.

Arushi: oh wow this is so nice.

Adi snaps out of his dream world, hearing Arushi speak.

Arushi selected a deep blue knee length summer dress that is printed with Hawaiian print. Adi goes near Arushi with her back facing him.

Adi: you should try it on.

Arushi looks up at Adi, who is looking at her with a look that Arushi cannot read. She goes into a fitting room and comes out a few minutes later wearing the dress.

Adi: wow the dress looks like, it's made for you.

Arushi: really? I don't think it looks that great.

Arushi walks towards her right to the big mirror while Adi walks towards Arushi's fitting room. Arushi keeps checking her reflection in the mirror.

Arushi: should i?

Adi: should you what?

Arushi: ADI!!! Should I buy the dress?

Adi: def, and if you don't then I will!

Arushi turns around: why would you buy it?

Adi shrugs his shoulders.

Arushi: ok anyway move I need to change…

Adi: first I want a kiss….

Arushi: what are you crazy?

Adi shakes his head in the negative.

Arushi: (thinks) he's mental if he thinks I'm going to give him a kiss.

Arushi puts a smile on her face and walks towards Adi in an alluring way.

Adi: (thinks) is she actually going to do it?? YAY!!!

Adi closes his eyes and leans forward. Arushi's smile quickly changes in a scowl; she grabs his jacket's collar and pulls him away from her fitting room. Adi widens his eyes as he sees what Arushi did.

Adi: U cheated!

Arushi: I know, and I won!!

Arushi quickly slams shut the fitting room door!

Adi laughs and glances around the store, something catches his eye, and so he goes towards it.

When Arushi comes out of the fitting room she expected to see Adi waiting there, but to her surprise, Adi was nowhere near the fitting rooms.

Arushi: (thinks) what the hell? Where did he go? He can't have been that pissed off.

She keeps looking all around the store. Finally totally fed up, she goes to the checkout and buys her blue dress. But she can't help but worry about where Adi might be, so she calls Maya, right as Maya is about to turn her phone off as she is entering the hospital.

Maya: hello?

Arushi: Hi how's Raj?

Maya: We're just going into the hospital now…

Arushi: ok well, I hope it's nothing serious, anyway listen. I called you for a reason; can I have Adi's cell #?

Maya: Adi's?? But isn't he with you??

Arushi: I think I kinda lost him…. anyway please the number?

Maya: ya its 493-1423

Arushi: ok thanx…

Maya: no problem, bye have fun in the mall!! And make Adi buy me something!!

Arushi: I'll tell him if and when I find him. Bye!!

They both hang up and Arushi dials Adi's number

Adi: hello?

Arushi: Hey it's Arushi! Where are you?

Adi: I'm in…uhhh where are you?

Arushi: I'm still in Fashion Fiesta. I'll come meet you.

Adi: no no, I'm coming there, wait two minutes

Arushi: ok fine, anyway Maya told me to tell you to buy her something.

Adi: you talked to her?

Arushi: ya I had to call her to get your cell number.

Adi: oh ok well, I was thinking…

Arushi: really you actually were??

Adi: very funny! Anyway I was thinking that since we're alone today, why don't you and I go on that little lunch date?

Arushi: Adi? Isn't it kind of sudden? I mean we just met yesterday and….

Adi: no we met more than 10 years ago, so it's not that sudden

Arushi: ok

Adi: what was that? Say it again.

By then Adi got to Fashion Fiesta and he saw her and vice versa.

Adi hung up the phone and walked towards Arushi, who looked around for a place to hide.
