A - everyone lets congratulate Karan and Roshni!
Everyone claps except for KK, Aryan and Ria. Ria looks to the side to see how Tia is but sees her running outside
Ri - Aryan...handle this, I'm going after Tia
Ar - ok
Part 30
Karan, Roshni, KK, Tia, Aryan and Ria are gathered in KK's and Karan's room, Aryan is standing by the window with his arm around a very glum looking Roshni, Ria is sitting in Karan's bed with her arm around teary-eyed Tia while Karan sits on the other side of her and KK is sitting on his bed looking very angry. Aryan looks at everyone else then at Karan
Ar - so whenever chachu spoke to you about Tia, he was actually talking about Roshni?
Kar - yeah....but he never said her name
KK looks up with his angry stare
KK - and you being an idiot didn't bother mentioning Tia's name either
Ar - calm down KK....it's not his fault
KK stands up angrily and looks at Aryan
KK - how is it not his fault? all of this could have been avoided if he'd just been straight with dad and said he loves Tia, but no and now dad thinks he loves Roshni.....how do you think I'm feeling? how do you think Roshni and Tia are feeling about this? all because my brother made a stupid ******* mistake!
Karan looks down to the floor, he gets up and leaves the room
Ar - now look what you did
KK sighs and goes after Karan, he watches as Karan walks in to Angad and Kripa's bedroom where Angad is standing by the cupboard putting his jacket away, Karan sits on the bed
Kar - dad...can we talk?
Angad turns around and sees Karan sitting on the bed, he goes to him and sits beside him
A - sure son, what's up?
Kar - don't you think you rushed in to announcing the engagement?
A - but you were excited yesterday
Kar - I know dad...but...
A - I know you must be feeling a bit scared, getting engaged means getting married which is a big responsibility but you'll be fine son
Kar - I know that dad...but....
A - but what?
Kar - Roshni....
A - if you're scared that you won't keep Roshni happy then trust me you will, look son you don't have to worry about anything, I would talk some more but I need to go with Sujal and Prithvi to arrange the date for the engagement
Angad pats Karan's shoulder then leaves, Karan closes his eyes and sighs, he's about to get up and leave but Kripa comes in, he goes to her
Kar - mom....
K - Karan...is everything ok?
Kar - about the engagement...
K - I'm so happy Karan, I can't believe you're going to get engaged....with Roshni, you know I was always worried about her, I never knew whether we would find a nice enough guy for her, but who better than you hey? I know you'll keep her happy and I'm going to be so lucky to have her as my daughter in law...thank you
Kripa kisses his cheek, Karan leaves the room dejectedly, he sees KK outside and slowly walks over to him, he looks to the floor
Kar - I tried.....but they won't listen...
Karan raises his head and looks at KK
Kar - I'm sorry KK...I'm sorry..
Karan turns around and runs downstairs, KK calls after him and goes after him but stops at the bottom of the stairs as Karan slams the front door shut, KK sighs and turns around and heads back to his room
KK - Karan's gone
Ar - where?
KK - I don't know, he was trying to talk to mum and dad but they wouldn't listen, he came to me and said sorry then ran off
KK sits on the bed looking sad, Roshni walks over to him and sits next to him and puts her head on his shoulder, he slips his arm around her waist
T - so what's going to happen now?
The others look at Tia who finally speaks up, Tia looks at Ria
T - are Roshni and Karan going to get married?
Ri - no sweety, we won't let that happen, will we Aryan?
Aryan comes over and sits next to Tia and puts his arm around her and kisses her forehead softly
Ar - of course not, we'll think of something, anything to make sure you and Karan stay together, now cheer up
T - but....
Ri - no buts, it won't happen
R - but what if it does?
Ria looks towards Roshni
Ri - not you aswell
KK looks at Roshni then kisses her hair softly
KK - I won't let it happen, even if I have to steal you away on the wedding day...I will
He pulls her closer to him
Ar - so shall I go after Karan or are you?
KK - I will...I need to apologise to him
KK kisses Roshni's head then gets up from the bed
KK - can you make sure they're ok and they get home ok?
Ar - sure
KK leaves, he gets in to his car and drives off, he tries calling Karan but he doesn't answer then stops his car when he sees Karan's car parked on the side of the road, KK parks his car behind his and goes inside to the quiet pub, he finds Karan sitting in the corner with a glass of beer in front of him, KK goes towards him and sits beside him the ushers at the bartender to bring another beer
KK - you ok?
Kar - what are you doing here?
KK - why? am I not allowed to come after my brother when he gets upset?
Kar - whatever...
KK - look I'm sorry ok? I shouldn't have blamed you....it wasn't your fault...I guess I just got a bit too angry
Kar - no you had every right to get angry.....it is my fault....if I had just...just once said Tia's name, none of this would be happening
KK - ok come on Karan, drop it, forgive me and lets go home
Kar - why are you calm all of a sudden? you weren't calm when you were telling me that i made a stupid ******* mistake
KK - I was angry....you're getting engaged to my girlfriend....how else was i supposed to act? but don't worry, we'll sort it out
Kar - will we?
KK - of course, what am I here for?
KK finishes his drink and stands up but Karan doesn't
Kar - I don't want to lose her
KK turns and sits back down
Kar - if I lose Tia.....I've never loved anyone as much as I love her
KK - you won't lose her
Kar - but what if she leaves me....when me and Roshni are getting engaged?
KK - Tia will understand...you have no choice at the moment....it will all be ok, you're not going to lose her
Kar - I love her so much
KK - I know
KK puts his arm around Karan's shoulder and hugs him then helps him up and takes him outside, he takes his keys from him and goes inside and hands them to the bartender, he goes outside and calls one of the drivers to pick the car up then makes Karan sit in his car and sits in himself
Kar - is Tia ok?
KK - she was still crying when you left....I told Aryan to take her home
Kar - I want to see her
KK - ok
KK starts the car and drives to Tia's house, he rings Ria's phone
KK - Ria..its KK....yeah I found him, he wants to see Tia....bring her outside ok? thanks
They wait in the car until they see Tia, Karan gets out while Kk stays in the car, Karan goes to Tia and both of them sit on the garden bench, he reaches out and holds her hand
Kar - are you ok?
T - suppose....you?
Kar - suppose....
Karan looks at her
Kar - I'm really sorry Tia, I know you were so hapy....and looking forward to our engagement announcement.....especially since today is your birthday
T - its not your fault Karan.....how were you supposed to know that chahcu was talking about Roshni?
Kar - but I should have said your name......
T - Aryan has promised he'll sort it out......just promise me one thing....
Kar - anything....
T - don't marry Roshni
Karan pulls her closer and kisses her forehead softly
Kar - I promise....I have to go
Karan kisses her cheek then gets back in to the car, KK drives them back to the Khanna mansion, both boys go to their room and sit on their beds
Kar - everything will be ok won't it?
KK - of course.....as long as you don't marry Roshni
Karan lies in bed
KK - because if you do.....I'll forget your my brother
Karan sits back up and looks over at KK who is looking at Roshni's picture
Kar - are you serious?
KK - just as you haven't loved anyone as much as Tia...I've never loved anyone as much as Roshni...and now that she's mine, I can't afford to lose her at any cost.....even to you....your my brother and I love you...but I love her more
KK lies down, Karan looks at him again then lies down.
Coming up - Karan and Roshni agree to go through with the engagement, Angad gets emotional with Karan
OK there the next part......and I am seriously very sorry for not updating sooner...I was job hunting (no luck) and kind of deviated away from IF and towards FB for a while...but couldn't leave it any longer, this part was mainly the sentiments of Tia-Karan-KK, the next few parts might get a bit sad n depressing but don't forget to read😊
