She looked outside, it was showering,like cats and dogs out there. Today was her engagement, engagement to Angad. Angad Khanna. They had agree'd to get married, two nights after they had told their parents about not wanting to marry eachother. They had met, and decided it would be best they both forget their loves, and continue on in life the way their parents had wanted them to, as their happiness, with their lover's wasn't more important than their own parents, who had already done so much for them. She sometimes, hated her father, for forcing such a decision on her, but his proffession had called for it. Dividing and measuring everything according to profit. She looked at herself, once again in the mirror, she was wearing a baby pink sari, that was a half sleeve, well barely it came just a little over, from being a tank-top, and from the back it was all string's. She had dark eye make-up on to match her sari, with a little bit of shimmer. She was wearing earings that settled on to her shoulders, and matching bangles. Her hair was into tight curls, that suited her very well.
She had gone, with Angad when he had told Beth about them,. She was heart broken, and Angad was too, more than she had been, when he broke the knew's to her. It broke her heart for somewhat being the reason to all of this.She hadn't needed to break the news to Abhi, since he had never actually proposed to her, but both of them had known, at the time they were in Sydney, that Abhi would only propose, when he actually had something to give her.It was going to break his heart once he found out.But she would think about what was to come, later.
She heard a knock at the door, it was Amy; angad's sister. She walked inside, and stood beside Kripa infron of the mirror facing her
."Kripa you know, you and Angad dont have to go through this, its all in your hands,"
"Yes I know, Amy, and me and Angad have taken this decision, after much thought." She looked at herself one last time, and too lighten up the mood she asked" How do I look?" she looked up at Amy smilling.
"You look great" she said placing her hand on her cheek, in a sisterly matter.
"Thank-you" she said, while she noticed her mother, and Nrya walk into the room. Amy said a quick good-bye" See you there"
Nrya placed the phew packages she was holding in her hand, on the side table, and looked down at Kripa.
"You look great, hun"
Kripa smiled. Nrya was a very sweet lady, she had blue warm eyes, that reminded her of her own mom.It hadn't taken her a long time to get use to Angad's family. Amy was great, his mom was great. Chris, who she met, just the night before, was also a very nice, gentlemen. The only person, who she really didn't talk to was his father, Uday.She was also told about Angad's other sister, Piya. Who was currently, out of town, studying.
"Kripa" Nyra said, trying to get her attention..
"Sorry" Kripa said snapping out of her thoughts.
"Its ok honey, I was just here too talk to you about, the circumstance's you and Angad are getting married."
"Aunty"kripa started
"No beta, I know its hard, but you dont need to worry about getting use to anything, you need to treat us as your own family"
"Yes Kripa" Know her own mother started.
They talked about responsibility, and how not to worry, and what life is going to be after she marries. Angad Khanna.

They had just exchanged,rings, and were standing while everyone came and presented them with their gifts, and well wishes. She knew the fact, Officially from now on, she was his, he had a right over her, more than any other man, did. It made her feel akward, as someone, she didn't love, had this right. But she knew that Angad wouldn't misuse, this right.As he wasn't desperate, he could have girls stand in line for him, even after being married.
He was holding her around the waist. Could she feel any more akward, even after, looking like a perfect couple infront of the whole world. She looked down at her ring, it was beautiful, it was a little diamond, but thats what made it look even more, elegant. Uday announced, a couple dance, and Aditya had forced her and Angad to go up.
They were pretty close right know, And too lighten up the mood, he smiled
"So" he said smilling down at her."Were engaged."
"Yup, do you consider yourself lucky"
"If only" he said gazing off, when he spotted someone behind her.
Kripa looked back, it was Beth. She sighed and placed her hand on his chest."Angad" he looked down" Calm down, dont do anything, that will give the press an head's up about a relationship between you and Beth"
"Yeah, but I want to see her"he said, looking back at Beth with helpless eyes
"I'll come, with you then" she said sounding concerned, and content
"What. But why?"he asked confused
"Dad" she said not looking back, but showing such expressions, so Angad knew what she was talking about
He looked behind her and saw Aditya looking towards them.
"Ok" He took her hand and started walking towards, were Beth was standing.
They stopped where Beth was standing.
"Hi Kripa" she said giving her the bouquet of roses, she was holding
"Thanks" Kripa replied, feeling a bit akward.
Angad looked over at Beth, no one else could but he could see the pain in her eyes. After all he had known, her for so long, and loved the lady afterall.
"Beth.." he said taking a step towards her.
"I've got to go" she said, walking away quickly from where they were standing.
Before Angad could go after her, Kripa stopped him."She needs time" Angad nodded, and both of them rejoined the party once again.
The party had gone great. Except for the part, that the people getting engaged, were totaly against what was happening. From them being forced to do all these things, too them getting married, when they didn't love eachother, but other people.
Angad and Kripa sat, together in the car on there way home. While the rain outside, went wild, worst from when they had come to the party from home.
"Angad, Im sorry about.." Kripa started, breaking the silence between the two, that was their from the time, they left the hall.
"No, " Angad interupted." Its not your fault, its destiny" Kripa sighed and place her hand ontop of his that was laying ontop of the arm rest.He smiled back at her"Thank's"
"For what?"she asked." For helping me through this hell whole we've gotten ourselves into.
She smiled back at him

There were exactly seven day's until she was married. Married too Angad Khanna, she reminded herself, every night and day. She was scared, worried, upset, and many other emotions at the same time. Her parents had organized a special evening for Angad and Kripa tonight. At Earls, it was dinner, He was coming to pick her up tonight at 7. She slipped into her loose black cocktail dress, that at the same time was comfortable and elegant. She applied the last of her make-up fixed her extra long earing, and grabbed her shawl, her hair was straightened, and it was also a bit dyed, Nisha had told, her that she must do something different for her wedding, and she had ended up getting a new hair cut, and her hair was now a color of light brown with a little of black in it aswell. She liked her hair cut, she wondered a little, as to what Angad might think of it. She wasnt trying to impress him or anything. But she did want to look her best. Afterall she had a status to protect.
She heard him honking, and quickly said a quick good-bye to Emma, who she had been talking to on the phone, to pass time. He didn't find it neccessary to step out, and open the door for Kripa, as it was every man's duty, to escort and take care of their lady on a date.'date' he laughed to himself. She would understand, they dont love eachother, and there doing all this to make their parents happy afterall.But only Kripa knew how she felt, when Angad hadn't even tried, to welcome her, when he had pulled into the parking lot.
"Hey Angad" she said, quickly fastening her seatlbelt
"Hey"
And that was all they said to eachother, on their way to the restaurant

They were done eating, not love. But she had, had a great time tonight. The entertainment was great, there was a band, that would play Bethoven's famous patterns, with a number of romantic songs, to go along with the romantic atmosphere of the place. They were done, and since everything was pre-payed, they both decided they would leave. Angad, had not eaten much, he more so played around with his food. Just as they were about to leave, Kripa spotted someone she had never imagined to for a long while.
"Abhi?" Kripa looked up, while the man walked upto him.She was holding Angad's arm by now, afraid to face, what the man standing infront of her was about to say
"Hi Kripa" He said smilling" So, your getting married?" He was still hansome, even more, than the last time she had seen him. He had a bit stubble, which made him look better. Abhi looked over to Angad, putting his hand forward" Congradulations" Angad shook hands with the man.Kripa finally managed to speak. "A..Angad this is Abhi.. Abhi Chopra...we were friends during University" Kripa had told him about Abhi, the same Abhi she loved, she understood at the moment, how Kripa might be feeling, and quickly shook hands with the man" thank-you, ah we better get going" he said, while walking out towards the entrance of the restaraunt, with Kripa holding onto his hand tightly. Kripa let go of his hand, once the reached the empty parking lot.
"Kripa are you ok?"
"Yah" she said calmly hugging herself to keep warm, it was a chilly day, it had been raining all night last night. What else could they expect from November weather
Angad went and opened the door to the car, when he noticed Kripa wasn't there. He looked around, and couldnt find her.
"Where is she?" Angad hissed, when she spotted, her standing on the shore of the beach that was located seconds away from the restaraunt they had dined at.
He went upto her" Kripa, Ive been going mad, looking for you where the hell have you been" She didn't answer. When he reached his annoyance level, he turned her around forcefully, when she suddenly started crying, and franticly grabbed onto Angad. She stayed like that for 5 minutes, letting her emotions take the best of her.
Angad realised, what he had done, she had been there for him, when he needed her, when he had to tell Beth the truth about them two. But he, he didnt turn around to understand how she might have been feeling,she had lost someone she loved aswell, it wasn't only him. It was his fault how could he be so selfish. He carssesed her back, to give her comfort, when she was ready, Kripa let go of Angad
"Im Sorry" she said wipping her tears away. And started walking back towards the car. When Angad grabbed her hand." Kripa, I know your upset, infact Im upset, were being forced to do something, that will affect our lives dramatically, but we have to, we decided we would, for the sake of our parents happiness, and we cant fall weak. And we wont let eachother fall weak. Because were going to be friends, that will help eachother out, if not actual husband and wife.
"Yea" she said waiting for him now, he took a hold of her hand
"Friends?"
"Friends" she smiled
he kissed her ontop of her knuckels and smiled.
