Kaajjal gives a very confued and shocked look at Dev. Chudail and K are like miffed. If he really is Dev then who did our goons kill that day. Veer is busy singing praises about Radio-city's success unknown about the other's 4's thoughts. Dev is thinking its time that Kaajjal find out. He is mesmerised. But still one loose end needs to be tied. Soon Kaajjal he promises sooonnnn.
They have a good dinner. Only Veer has actually enjoed and really tasted the food. Kaajjal, Dev, Chudail, K are all lost in their second tracks!!!! Veer asks chudail for a dance and prods Dev too to ask Kaajjal. Kaajjal feigns tiredness but chudail insists. She suggests vampishly better if you are tired, that way you can hang on to your beloved.
K too insists that they must celebrate and he sends them. Dev gets up and Kaajjal too agrees but with a heavy heart. here Dev is fighting to exercise a big control on his emotions. He wants to be very rational and alert less he reveals anything more at this stage.
He offers to take Kaajjal's hand. She very slowly and unwillingly gives her hand slowly. As soon as he holds her hands the dream dance that she had with Dev flashes in front of her eyes and she is lost. Dev remineces her touch and closes his eyes tightly fighting to control the urge to hug her tightly. He gently takes her hand and puts it on his shoulder and ever so slowly puts his other hand around her waist. Albeit a bit loosely as he does not want to reveal anymore today. she has the same chudis in her hands and she smells the same as that day. He can't seem to get enough of her. She comes a bit closer as the dance floor is crowded and seems to feel his breath on her face. She gets that familiar tingle and looks confusedly up at Raju who feels so much like Dev. she questions him with her eyes and he looks at her but does not find an answer. But his look is so deep and soul searching that she gives in to just the feel of Dev and closes her eyes and melts into his arms completely. That is the final straw for Dev and his tight control. He whispers "Kaajjal ......???" in that ever resonating and reverbrating voice. She says "This is the time to simply forget who we are and simply enjoy the time. We shall talk later"
Dev lets go at this and relaxes and holds her closer and he too is lost in her smell, touch, her eyes, her breath, her hair, her skin............
the music stops and they suddenly are jolted out of their reverie by everyone's clapping. They both get self conscious and each is trying to hide their slip. They return to the table and just then K says "I think its time we left. " As he has thought up another devious plan and he is sure that this one will surely prove that this person here is an imposter and not Dev. He also tells Kaajjal and Dev that if they wish they can stay here longer, but Dev says "No, I am too tired and so is Kaajjal. And my hand too is hurting a bit, so its best we all call it a night. All agree and K smartly says okay then I shall accompany you Dev. You should not be driving. I came with Veer and Chudail and have not brought my car, so I shall drive. You take the rest.
They reach home and Kaajjal excuses herself and leaves to go to her room. Dev looks at her suspiciously as he feels the vibrations and the duel going on in her mind. He knows that she will not go to her room. But keeps quiet and wishes her a good night. she too mumbles her eply and goes to her room. she is very restless and the whole evening's scenes flash again and again through her mind. Especially the one where Raju had looked deeply into her eyes and spoke to Chudail .........
Is he really Raju or is he.......... ????? No it can't be. Then that sign? she is o restless that she walks out and goes up the stairs onto the terrace unaware that she is being followed by Dev.
On the terrace she looks up at the shimmering stars and the full moon. No clouds but her mind is clouded by her disturbing thoughts and the duel. Why is she getting so attracted to Raju? Dev is everything for her then why? She has tears of frustration in her eyes and then she looks at her chudis. she raises on hand and kisses her chudis. "Dev..... please come back. I need you." she sobs silently tears flowing down her face. Her silent plea cuts through his heart. He closes his eyes as if he can't bear to see her trauma. He wants to go and hug her and comfort her. Appologise to her and ask her to forgive him. He takes a step towards her gingerly and speaks out her name in a wobbly voice "Kaajjal? Why are you crying?" He nears her and gently takes her by her shoulders as a friend would. "I know that you miss him. I hope you know that I managed to forge Devji's sign today and fooled them But I hope I didn't put doubts in your head. I am Raju and very much your friend. If you need me I am here for you." All the time Kaajjal is staring at the chudis. She looks up with a grateful smile on her lips but with the tears still in her eyes. She smiles and says "Thanks and I am happy for your friendship today. Thanks a lot and happy that you have done so much for me, for all that you did today." But the tears keep rolling down her cheeks. He can't seem to control as he hates those tears and utters without thinking "Khushiyon ki baat karti ho aur aansoon se dosti"
She looks up shocked!!!!! Dev too realises at what he has spoken and is looks scared. she backs away ever so slowly. She is shaking her head, "No it can't be. You just said..... " and she backs till she reaches the edge of the terrace. She suddenly looks down and then with a different light shining in her eyes. Dev recognises that look. Its the same as that day she had on the terrace when she ........... He closes his eyes and agian quickly opens them to find she is knowingly looking at him. He is rooted to his spot. He wants to go there and grab her before she does something crazy. He gulps and says "Madamji, why are you looking like this. Is anyone standing down there?" She looks at him with the same light still shining in her eyes and a strange smile now on her lips. Her eyes do the talking "Okay Dev if thats what you want. Pretend away and I too will do my part. She nears the edge and Dev loses his final control. He yells "Kaajjal stop..... you promised...................................
